It's been awhile since I last blogged about mangas. That is not to say that I have stopped reading them. It is just that real life has become terribly busy. Many schedules to meet. Sigh...

Anyways, I have decided to blog about this new series. Too good and interesting and thus to shout it here so that more will know. Yes it is Hibi Chouchou

Both characters are not the norm in shoujo mangas. Both of them are awkward when it comes to relating to the opposite sex. Suiren is this beautiful girl who has attracted unwanted attention (esp from the opposite sex) since time in memorial. However, when this quiet boy who is very good with karate, did not look her way. She was immediately drawn to him... It is definitely an unusual love story with an interesting premise. How do two persons who are not good at expressing themselves to the opposite sex now express their affection for each other? Love it! Do try to read it when u can.

I am sure by now fans of the manga series "Ouran Koukou Host Club" know that it has been adapted into a drama series.

At first, my reaction was rather lukewarm to say the least. Firstly, I like Ouran for its ditzy fun. I love its anime version and definitely the manga series. I wasn't very sure the drama version will be able to pull off the fun and humour.

But I was pleasantly surprised. It is quite a good live adaptation of the manga. I particularly LOVE Yamamoto's version of Tamaki. He steals the show! I feel like pinching his cheeks and keeping him close by after watching each episode.

If you have not jump on the Ouran drama bus, you need to get on it now!

Kanojo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru Chapter 25 17 Aug 2011 6:54 PM (13 years ago)

Chapter 25 opens with the scene at Narita Airport Terminal 1. A man stretched out his hand to hail for a cab. He got into the cab and his luggage placed in the boot.

It was Shinya that got into the cab. He told the driver to head towards Ebisu (a temple). He changed his mind and called Riko and directed the driver to head towards Fukagawa.

Scene switches to Riko with Aki at Starbucks. Aki's phone rang. It was Shun and Aki excused himself to answer the call. Shun told Aki that he's back from his trip and he bought some gifts for Aki.

Meanwhile, Riko's phone rang. Before Riko could answer, Aki knew it was a call from Shinya. He ended his conversation with Shun. Aki stopped Riko from answering and took away her phone. He confirmed it was Shinya who called.

Aki asked Riko: "What do you think it means for a man to call you immediately after returning from overseas?"

Riko was taken aback and blushed as she thought about Aki's question. Looking at her response, Aki commented that Riko seemed to understand. He went on to tell Riko that he dislike seeing Shinya and Riko together, he dislike Riko singing Shinya's song and dislike the make-up she has on now. (Sigh... this is not going help you score brownie points. A strict no no in any relationship, even when you are hurting, the last thing you should do is to hurt the person you love. Sigh... Aki is so immature...)Upon hearing that Riko teared...

Aki saw Riko's tears streaming down her face and he panicked. He told her that he was just joking about the makeup. He apologized and told her that he actually thought she was very cute in the new make-up. He expressed that he was behaving this way because he was jealous. (At least you have some sense to know that, Ok. I forgive you for hurting Riko)

Riko with tears in her eyes expressed that she had no choice. She did not know what to do.

Aki took out a CD from his bag. With a serious expression, he told her that he wanted her to listen to this. Riko replied no.

Aki persisted that he wrote this song especially for her. Riko was equally insistent that she would not as she did not want others to think of her as someone who became famous because of her relationship with Aki. She noted that most of such singers did not last long in the music industry.

She emphasized that she did not want others to remember her as Aki's girlfriend, thus she would never sing his song.

Aki asked:" Even if we were to break up?" (Oh man! Why did you keep doing that? Just when I am starting to feel a teeny sense of pity for you...)

Riko was speehless. Tears streamed down her face again... Aki immediately apologized and said that he was joking with her.

Aki thought to himself: "I am frightened by my strong desire." (I suppose here it means Aki's desire to have Riko sing his composition.)

Scene switches back to Takagi. Takagi ordered a bottle of champagne. The waiter asked what's the occasion for such celebration. Takagi smiled. He turned to Nagahama and asked what she thought of Riko's lyrics.

Nagahama replied that she thought Riko's lyrics were fantastic and she was puzzled why did Takagi reject it. Takagi expressed that he knew it was great and only a fool would think otherwise but he rejected it because he felt that Riko would be able to write better. Takagi seemed to believe that Riko has great potential to write superb lyrics. (Sigh... I don't understand why Takagi must choose to belittle the person for him/her to be creative? I thought praises work well too? Takagi must have a very sad childhood...)

Takagi ruminated that he must be a fortunate guy as he discovered another talent in Riko. He thought that Shinya fit the bill... One day, Riko would also compose her own music and at this present moment, she needed to sing songs that she could "abuse". Nagahama was puzzled by Takagi's used of word. Nagahama: "Abuse?" (Poor Shinya. To have his existence relegated to a stepping stone for someone, first Aki now Riko)

Takagi explained that as Riko sang Shinya's songs, she would be inspired to change the songs and know what to do to improve on each song. He felt that if Riko was to sing Aki's music, she would be too careful.

Scene changes to Riko's house. Her father was glued to the TV set calling for Riko's mother to see Riko's first TV appearance via the Pepsi commercial.

Scene switches back to Riko and her bandmates. They were leaving the train station when they saw that their faces were plastered on advertistment dotting the train station. All of them felt that their lives seemed to have changed at that moment and things would never be the same again.

Scene switches back to Aki. Aki's thoughts: "I am still as unhappy as I was in the past... In the past, I fought to run away from music. Now, my wish came true and I am still unhappy."

(Scene switches to a poster of Mush & Co with Shinya's name as the composer)...

My Thoughts:

I like this chapter. To me it is the answer to some questions I have about this manga. I get a picture of each characters' intent and can roughly guess how the story is likely to develop. Nice.

Finally, Aki realized that he cannot run away from his music... How can both he and Riko keep their music, develop their talents and yet stay together?

This is another new series that I have been reading! So happy to be able to read interesting manga series....

I have in my collection the prequel to this series, Warau Kanoko sama and I love it. You may want to read the prequel before diving into Koi dano Ai dano.

This series is relatively new, 2 volumes thus far in Japan. Mangafox has posted 3 chapters.

Story Outline:

Kanoko, a plain girl who wears glasses, thinks she is a loner and spends most of her time observing people. Due to her parents' occupation, during middle school, she was transferred from school to school. However, at the start of High School, she decided to put a stop to this and requested for her parents to allow her to stay on her own. Due to her brilliant academic results, she was enrolled into Takara no Tani High School. Tsubaki, Kanoko's 98th middle school classmate, was enrolled into the same school and class. Tsubaki, with his good looks, was immediately noticed and people wondered why the two of them were always together.

I like the series for its sense of humour and interesting characters. The heroine, Kanoko, reminds me of the characters of Tonari no Kaibutsukun (And I really love Tonari no Kaibutsukun!). She is a combination of Haru and Shizuku. Clueless when it comes to relationships but brilliant in other aspects. If you are looking for a good laugh (cos there are plenty of funny characters in the series), I highly recommend this series.

I will not be covering chapters 23 and 24 of Kanajo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru. You can find it at Kat's blog. Will cover Chapter 25. Have it with me now. Will post when possible. ^_^

Btw, I have been reading another series. Hana no Kishi (see cover above). Love it. Ran Kurono is the First Knight of the next head of Ohtori family, Sei Ohtori. On the outside, Ran looked every bit the dashing knight and all the female students in St Rogress Academy (where Ran and Sei study) falls heads over heels in love with Ran. However, Ran remains faithful and committed to protect and serve Sei. Unbeknownst to all, Ran is actually a female in disguise! Ran's older brother was killed protecting Sei. For centuries, the Kurono's family has served the Ohtori family as the First Knight and thus Ran took over her brother's role and dedicated her time to perfect her skill so that she can one day become the First Knight of Ohtori family.

Both Ran and Sei are tested at the St Rogress Academy. Ran is constantly being challenged to defend her title as the First Knight. 11 other Knights with ulterior motive of taking control of the Ohtori family's fortune vie for her position as the First Knight. Sei, at the same time, is being tested for her suitability as the head of the Ohtori family.

Enters Ibara, Sei's fiance. In a chance encounter, he found out Ran's secret that she is a female. On the outside, he seemed carefree and clueless to Ran's and Sei's concerns. However, he was always around when they needed a helping hand...

I like the series for it's interesting story line. I cannot help but feel the chemistry between Ran and Ibara. I wonder whether anything will develop from there...

Thank you for those who have posted their concerns and well-wishes. Much appreciated. ^_^

I am thankful that the accident, although scary and I am still wary of driving again (reckless drivers abound), but God's grace is sufficient. I am thankful.

I have a few chapters of Kanojo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru to catch up with. Please be patient. Need time to collect magazines.

Meanwhile, thought to share another new series I have been reading recently.

Hiyo Koi (ひよ恋). It is drawn by the assistant of Stardust Wink mangaka. I found the art very similar to Stardust Wink . I like the art work. Kawaii desu ne! The story is a mix of Kimi ni Todoke and Strobe Edge. Shoujoish and very innocent, although the female lead can get a wee bit annoying.

Hiyori, the female lead, is a small size (140cm) girl. Due to a car accident on the first day of school, she was absent from school for quite a while. This accident compounded by her timidness and extreme shyness, made her dragged going to school. On her first day of reporting back to school after missing almost a whole year of school, she met her classmate, Hirose (male lead). He is tall and big (190cm). He has a big heart to match too. He was gentle and kind towards Hiyori. He played an important role in helping her make friends in school. The story details Hiyori overcoming her shyness and willingness to face her own growing feelings for Hirose.

Mangafox has scanlated 16 chapters of it and Chinese Scanlations has updated it to Chapter 21.

Chapter 10 for the fans.

Chapter 10 continues from the previous chapter with Narumi grabbing Momoka and running off. As Momoka follows, thoughts of wanting to spend the last night of the camp alone with Narumi fills her mind. She wants to create special memories with Narumi.

Narumi stops running, turns around and checks on Momoka. Momoka replies she is fine. She blushes when she recalls her friends' comments on Narumi liking her and that she should confess her love to him.

Staring at the blushing face of Momoka, Narumi blushes as he misinterprets her response. He apologizes for dragging her out suddenly. He thinks Momoka must be embarrassed by his actions.

Momoka quickly denies that. She tells him that on the contrary she is happy as now she can spend time alone with him.

All of a sudden, both of them realized that they are still holding each other's hands. Awkwardly, they drop their hands and look away uncomfortably. Narumi breaks the silence and tells Momoka that he has a reason for taking her out.

Momoka braces herself as she thinks that Narumi is about to confess his feelings to her...

Momoka lowers her head and blushes furiously as she awaits his confession. Narumi:" I want to show you these children."

Huh? Momoka is disoriented to say the least. She turns around and sees little rabbits surrounding the grass patch they are standing on. Momoka:"Waaahh! Little rabbits!" Narumi reminds her to lower her voice as the rabbits are easily startled.

As Narumi watches Momoka cuddles the rabbits, he tells her that he has been wanting to show these rabbits to her since he first discover them as he knows she will like them. Although she is touched by his thoughtfulness, Momoka cannot help but feel disappointed at the turn of events. Momoka whispers her thanks to Narumi. Narumi tells her to come closer as she was too soft. As Momoka inches closer and leans forward to speak into Narumi's ear (note sudden appearance of the numerous stars in the sky)...

Encouraged by the surrounding, Momoka places a kiss on Narumi's ear. Shocked at her own behaviour, she apologizes to Narumi. Afraid that the rabbbits will scuttle off, he places his hand over her mouth and tells her to keep quiet. Nevertheless, the rabbits run off (I will run away too if I'm the rabbits. Who wants to be in the way... hehehe....)

With a shoujouish posture, Narumi stretches out his hand and tells Momoka to chase after the rabbits with him. (sigh... gosh... why can't they just leave the rabbits and get on it...)

As they chase after the rabbits, Momoka wonders about the reaction of all they have left behind in the camp. She wonders whether the teacher in-charge is fuming mad searching for them and whether her classmates are gossiping about their sudden leaving. Whatever the case, Momoka is happy to spend this time with Narumi alone...

As Momoka catches sight of one of the rabbits, she runs after it but trips and falls. Narumi falls too when tries to help her. Both of them lie on the ground and stare at the sky. Momoka apologizes for causing him to fall. Narumi tells her that he is glad to hold onto her hand. Still holding onto each other's hand, they turn and look at each other. Both of them burst out laughing...

At that moment, they are reminded of the time the spent together in junior high school. Narumi confesses to Momoka that he used to hate school then. Then he only cares for his camera and his good friend. However, when Momoka who sat besides him greeted him in the morning because she understood him, he was filled with joy. Because of her, he began to love coming to school.

Holding both her hands in his, Narumi thank Momoka. Momoka begins to tear as she is touched by his words. A sudden breeze reminds Narumi that they have to leave as it is getting colder. Narumi takes off his jacket and put it over Momoka. Momoka wants to confess her feelings to him...

Again, the sudden appearance of the starry night, signals another great opportunity for the confession. Momoka calls out to Narumi. He turns and stares at her. She fumbles...

All of a sudden, Akutsu appears. Kairi apologizes for not being able to keep Akutsu away from the couple. Disappointed that the perfect moment was interrupted, Momoka holds onto Narumi's sleeves...

She asks him to wait for her after school on Monday as she wants to speak to him privately.

Narumi smiles at her and agrees to meet her after school.

Kairi praises Momoka for trying her best and promises to cheer for her.

Momoka approaches Akutsu and apologizes for not being able to reciprocate his feelings. She tells him that if she has known him earlier things might be different but now, she can only think about Narumi.

Looking at the tearing Narumi, Akutsu chooses to cheer for her. He tells her to be courageous. At that moment, a shooting star appears. Momoka makes a wish that she will be able to convey her feelings to Narumi...

That's the end of Chapter 10. We will get Momoka's confession in the next chapter. How will Narumi respond... Stay tuned.

Here's Chapter 9 for the fans. The cover for this chapter is the 3 bishounens in Momoka's life. ^_^

The previous chapter ends with Narumi asking Momoka to spend time alone with him at night. Both of them will try to sneak away from the crowd to do so. Narumi tells her that when the campfire ends in the evening, he will meet her at her tent. Turning a shade of red, Momoka agrees.

Both of them exchange some very shoujouish stares. (Note the sparkles~~~ I can almost imagine bells pealing...) Finally, they let go of each other's hands. Narumi breaks the silence and suggests that they head back to the camp. Momoka feels that her face must feel as warm as Narumi's hand.

Back at the camp, Akutsu and Kairi collect the most number of clues and thus they are the winning group. Akutsu, in a bid to impress Momoka, tells her that he is very capable and asks whether she is impressed with her. At the side, Kairi comments that she's the one who found most and if not all of the clues.

As a token for participating, every couple gets a handphone strap accessories. Momoka is in cloud 9 that hers and Narumi's form a set and they are rabbits.

Both of Momoka's friends note that Momoka seems to have the look of being in love. They ask her what happen between Narumi and her. Momoka quickly denies but blushes thinking about the hug... She realises that being hugged is a very significant event. Her friends, realising that she is not giving them much details, drag her away to question her...

Meanwhile, the boys have to fish for lunch for the camp. The girls are left to cook and prepare for lunch.

Momoka confesses that Narumi has asked to spend time alone with her tonight. The friends look at each other and feel that Momoka is not telling them all that has happened.

Shyly, Momoka confesses that Narumi hugged her tightly...

Meaningful looks pass between the friends. They jump up in excitement as they feel that he has expressed his feelings for her in that hug.

Momoka thinks that Narumi hugged her to comfort her because she was crying. Kairi begs to differ. She explains that people can comfort a crying person without hugging. Teasingly, Kairi ask how it feels to be hugged by someone she loves. With a flushing red face, Momoka confesses that her heart was beating fast and she could not think...

Momoka confesses that she likes being a girl and she is falling more and more in love with Narumi.

Meanwhile, back to the boys who are trying to catch fish for their lunch....

Amano has caught his 4 fish and is asking Akutsu about having grilled fish rather than cooked fish for lunch. Akutsu, instead, talks about wanting to hug Momoka and that she is very cute. Amano tells him that he cannot harbour such thoughts for Momoka. Akutsu ignores him and comments that he feels Momoka may be responding to his wooing. He noted that she blushed when she looked at him during the time the teacher gave them the phone strap accessories.

Akutsu loudly expresses that he will confess his feelings again during the campfire dance.

Akutsu, suddenly hugs Narumi from behind. He asks Narumi whether he thinks he will stand a chance with Momoka. Narumi replies that he doesn't know. Akutsu gripes that Narumi is so straightforward. Akutsu looking at Narumi asks why he seems closer to Momoka and not other girls. Narumi explains that he used to be unpopular with the girls during middle school. Girls refused to sit beside him in class. Akutsu is surprised to learn that.

Narumi explains that Momoka was the only girl who treated normally. He began to enjoy school because of her. Amano encourages Narumi to tell this to Momoka. However, Narumi refuses as he feels that Momoka understands how he feels. Amano takes the opportunity to tell Akutsu that that is why he feels Akutsu should not woo Momoka...

At the same time, Akutsu upon hearing how nice Momoka was towards the unpopular Narumi, he feels more in love with her. Akutsu asks Narumi directly why he is not head over heels in love with Momoka. Amano expresses that he is impressed with Akutsu's directness. Narumi smiles and replies that to him, Momoka is very special.

Back at the camp, the boys bring their catch with them for the girls to prepare lunch. At that moment, a girl from another class asked to speak to Narumi alone...

Momoka looking at the girl's expression feels that she is thinking of expressing her feelings to Narumi. Kairi drags Momoka to where the couple is. From where they are hiding, they can hear what the girl is saying to Narumi.

The girl confesses her feelings to Narumi. Narumi hears her out and tries to reject her. Quickly the girl asks for Narumi to try going out with her for a week before rejecting her...

Narumi turns her down again tells her he has someone he likes. Kairi thinks Narumi is talking about Momoka. Momoka wonders whether she can believe that Narumi loves her.

At the start of the campfire, Momoka is anticipating the date she has alone with Narumi.

Meanwhile, Akutsu is going around telling all the male students not to dance with Momoka as he wants to dance to her.

As the dance starts, Momoka counts the number of partners she has to dance with before reaching Narumi. Finally, she gets to dance with Narumi (notice the sparkles again...)

As they dance, Momoka cannot help but feel happy and excited. She thinks that falling in love with Narumi is very blessed. She wonders whether she can hope for more. As the music ends and their dance coming to an end, it is time to for them to part and change partner again. Narumi notices that Akutsu is eagerly awaiting his turn to dance with Momoka. At that moment, Narumi asks Momoka whether she is ready to leave the campfire with him.

At that moment, Narumi grabs Momoka and both of them turn and flee from the campfire. Momoka wonders whether Narumi has special feelings for her.

That's the end of Chapter 9. So is Narumi going to confess to Momoka?

迷雾中的蝴蝶/Kanojo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru Chapter 22 (or Chapter 24 according to Chinese scans) 23 Apr 2011 11:25 PM (14 years ago)

This is the newest chapter printed in Cheese! Magazine. Finally, we are at Chapter 22 (no more 21 part infinity). I guess this marks the beginning of a new arc... Well, I can't really tell from this chapter...

Anyways, I love the pose. Aki with Crude Play.

As the reporters were snapping their photos away, the members were talking about the price of charting the private jet and it was an exorbitant price. Apparently, the the jet was rented for a week. However, it was sponsored. They were amazed that Takagi knew a variety of people whom he could convince to spend their money. Shun commented that as such, they would have to appear at talk show, sports paper, etc.

Shun commented that if they have the look of them in the plane for the bonus DVD footage for their new song's which get them the publicity, it was unexpectedly cheap price to pay.

One of them asked whether Shinya was doing anything to decide about the "S" job for the debuting band. The other asked:"Which "S" job?"

Shun replied:"The one that Mari had to do." The other member asked whether that is the reason why Takagi did not come along.

Shinya was thoughtful.

The reporters asked the members to all face the camera for one last shot.

Scene switched to the sports field at the school.

Riko was with one of her female classmates watching the boys playing soccer. The female classmate commented that Yuu was goodlooking. At that moment, a soccer ball headed towards Yuu's direction. One of the guys shouted for Yuu to kick the ball. Yuu jumped up to use his head to hit the airborne ball. He missed...

Both girls were shocked at Yuu's lack of aptitude for sports. Sniggering at that sight, Riko commented that Yuu was very bad in sports. At that moment Souta dribbled skillfully past. Looking at Souta dribbling the ball, Riko cheered for him. Yuu was upset...

Scene switched to Takagi walking along the school corridor. He was flanked by a camera man. The students wondered who he was.

Meanwhile the soccer match has ended and Yuu was washing his face. Riko came from behind and attacked the back of his knees. He fell forward, wet his head and cursed Riko who burst out laughing.

Riko laughed at the sight of soaking wet Yuu. Yuu sighed...

Over the PA system, an announcement was made for the whole school to gather at the Sports Hall at beginning of the 5th period of class.

Riko was changing in the changing room when she received a call from Takagi...

Takagi told Riko to pay extra attention to beautify herself after learning that she just had Physical Education Class. Riko wondered why...

Scene switched to Nagahama (the Director for Mush & Co.'s new album). One of her colleagues asked whether she was going to Tokusawako's place.

Nagahama mentioned that she had many things to do. At that moment, she called a Chikada sensei to design the original logos for Mush & Co. She told him to have the designs ready within the week.

Scene switched back to the school and the announcement was made for all the student to gather at the sports hall for an impromptu meeting.

Riko cheered that there was no Maths class and was not concerned why they had to gather at the Sports Hall.

Suddenly, Yuu hit the back of Riko's knees and caused her knees to buckle. Souta hit the back of Yuu's head and called him childish.

Yuu commented that Takagi had called him awhile ago. Both Yuu and Riko found out that they received the same call from Takagi to ask them to pay extra attention on their appearance. Souta wondered why he did not receive such a call from Takagi.

Meanwhile, the school principal addressed the students...

He called Riko, Yuu and Souta to the stage. Yuu wondered whether the news of their debut had leaked out, thus they were called up to the stage to receive their punishment. He wondered whether they would be asked to stop school cos it was not summer break yet and they took on the singing job.

Riko, on the other hand, was excited on hearing that. Riko:"This is the work of magic!"

Souta, the only cool-headed one, figured that it was not likely that the school was gathered so that the school master could exact his punishment on them.

As they stood on the stage facing the student population, the lights shone on them. Riko turned around and saw a picture of herself projected on the screen behind them.

Riko was portrayed with earphones. Yuu was portrayed playing the guitar. Surprisingly, Souta was portrayed eating...

Finally, at the end of their photo display, was the line:" We are Mush & Co." Photographers snapped their photos...

The announcement was that Mush & Co. would debut this summer.

Scene switched to Aki.

Takagi sent a sms to Aki, asking him to take a look at the Yahoo website...

Logging to the website, Aki saw a news article on Riko and her new band.

Aki called Takagi...

Aki asked Takagi whether he intended to crush the newcomers. Takagi questioned when he did that. He was only thinking about selling albums. Aki was not happy with the method Takagi employed to sell the albums of the new band.

Takagi wondered the out loud about Aki's reaction. Covering up, Aki quickly replied that it was because he was going to write their songs. He went on to tell Takagi that he had heard the song and he thought it was not good.

To which, Takagi was curious to know from whom and when he heard it. Aki told him he knows the answer and yet he asked him... Aki ended the conversation abruptly and threw the phone away and onto his bed.

Aki took awhile to compose himself and went back to writing the songs. Doing that, he recalled Shun's warning that Takagi was not a simple person to comprehend.

Scene switched back to Mush & Co. at Takagi's office. Takagi asked whether Riko had written lyrics for love songs.

Riko was puzzled. Takagi pressed on and asked whether she has a boyfriend. Blushing, Riko admitted to having a boyfriend. In reply, Takagi mentioned that her boyfriend said that he would write the song.

Riko was surprised. Yuu was shocked.

Takagi: "What kind of music will come out? This is interesting..."

I apologise for the short summary. I have tons of work, thus thought to write briefly so that I could get it out fast.

Anyways, Takagi has a way of getting information. Also, he has a way of getting people to do things.

I wonder how this will affect Riko's and Aki's relationship knowing that Riko had rejected Aki's offer to write songs for Mush & Co. I wonder what role will Yuu play in this.

Namida Usagi - Seifuke no Kataomoi Chapter 8 21 Apr 2011 3:22 PM (14 years ago)

This is for the fans. This is chapter 8 from Vol 2 of NUSnK. Although this series is rather shoujouish, there are unexpected turns and a tinge of melodrama. I was thinking this would be an easy read and my brains would be clouded by shoujou fluff. But I was wrong... I was surprised by the turns. End of Vol2 marks a significant turn and Vol 3 is the start of a wee bit of melodrama... Enough of preparing you... ^_^ Let's begin.

Momoka and Narumi were sitting at a park. Narumi asked Momoka what her wishes were when they saw a shooting star. Momoka was just thinking about wanting to be more than friends with Narumi when Akutsu dashed out from nowhere and confessed his feelings for Momoka.

A shocked Momoka recovered and thought that Akutsu was teasing her again. (I love the mangaka's chibi drawing of shell-shocked Momoka and Narumi. Kawaii desu neh!) She chided him for playing with people's emotions.

Frustrated, Akutsu grabbed Momoka's hand and asked to speak to her alone. Momoka grimaced in pain.

Narumi put himself between them and told Akutsu off from handling Momoka roughly. Ooohhh... Nice pose. Note the leaves falling and breeze blowing...) Akutsu apologised for his eagerness. Narumi wondered what business Akutsu have with Momoka. Akutsu reiterated that he wanted to have a private conversation with Momoka and promised not to do things she dislikes. It dawn on Narumi that Akutsu meant what he said and that he probably would want to confess to Momoka. Narumi excused himself and told them that he would head back to his tent. Momoka was thinking to follow Narumi as she wanted to spend more time with him. However, Akutsu held her hand to prevent her from leaving...

As Momoka turned to face Akutsu, he put on his most earnest look:" I like you!"

Momoka being as dense as a block:" Please stop joking..." (Sigh... Girl, 1+1 = 2)

Akutsu tried to convince her that he was serious and he really like her. It was only then, Momoka realized that Akutsu's voice and hands were shaking.(Seriously, girl, the boy has to go thru much to convince you of his feelings)

Momoka told him gently that she was in love with someone else...

Akutsu was so dejected to hear Momoka's rejection. He recovered somewhat and told Momoka to give him time to get to know him before rejecting him. Looking at his dejected face, Momoka agreed to consider carefully first. (KAWAIIIIIII!!!! Looking at his expression, I would have serious trouble rejecting him directly too... I'm with you Momoka...)

Early next morning, Momoka remembered Akutsu's confessions of feelings. She could not helped but blushed profusely. She wondered how she would react when she sees him later.

As she flipped open the tent to get ready to wash up, she saw Narumi! Momoka freaked out that she looked so unkempt in front of him. Narumi greeted her and was about to ask her about Akutsu when...

Akutsu appeared from no where and lunged towards Momoka. He hugged her tightly looking all besotted. Narumi, turned and walked away with a pained look.

The teacher announced that it was time for a treasure hunt. The teacher told them to get into groups of 2. He added that this game has helped to pair off many couples over the years. All the students were terribly excited at that prospect. Akutsu was very excited thinking that he could partner Momoka, Kairi was thinking that she could be with Amano. Momoka fearing for her own safety asked for them to leave it to chance to find their partners. It is almost like tossing a coin (can't think of an English equivalent for this sort of method)

Anyways, Momoka found herself being partnered with Narumi!

Together, they wondered into the woods to look for the clues. Momoka noted that Narumi seemed very quiet almost as if he was angry with her. She wondered what she could have done wrong. Without noticing, she almost walked into a sharp twig. Narumi came to her rescue.(naturally)

After an awkward moment where both of their faces were in close proximity, Narumi asked Momoka whether she was dating Akutsu. He asked whether Akutsu confessed his feelings for her. Before Momoka could reply, Narumi apologised for being nosey.

Upon hearing that, Momoka quickly replied that she's not dating Akutsu...

With tears in her eyes, she told Narumi that she has rejected Akutsu. Suddenly, Narumi pulled her into his arms...

"Don't cry, it's my fault."

All Momoka could think of was that this cannot be happening to her. Her heart was pounding. Suddenly, they heard Akutsu calling out:"Momoka!" Kairi:"Stop calling out! Look! Here's another clue!"

After awhile, Narumi asked Momoka:" Why didn't you respond to Akutsu's call?"

Momoka replied that Narumi kept quiet too. Both of them laughed as they looked at each other. Suddenly, they heard the announcement calling for all students to gather at the square.

Both looked reluctant to end their time together. At that moment, Narumi asked Momoka to spend some time with him alone at night.

They obviously have feelings for each other so what else can happen? Stay tuned for next chappie. ^_^

I am as excited as a dog with two tails!! I had some unexpected free time in the afternoon, thus I made a bee line to my favourite place - the book shop! A particular manga cover caught my eye (thats how I usually choose my manga tankoubon) and without thinking I bought up vols 1 to 3 that were available. My! I was delighted by the story. Very shoujouish, but rather captivating.

Vol 1

Momoka (our female lead) loves everything rabbits. For the new school year, she was made to sit beside Narumi (the male lead). Narumi was an awkward, bespectacled boy with hair covering his eyes. Although Narumi has no lack of male friends, all the girls shun him and weird rumours about him fly thick in the air. Gradually, Momoka discovers the real Narumi. He is not so weird afterall and that he is this sensitive and sweet guy. To her surprise, beneath the messy mop of hair, is this handsome guy! Slowly, she realizes that she has special feelings towards Narumi.

I am thinking of summarising Vol 2 and 3. I did a little bit of looking around and realized that thus far, 2 chapters of Vol 2 have been scanlated. (Check out mangafox)

The 3rd part to Chapter 21. I'm curious why the mangaka chose to break this chapter into several parts...

Anyways, this chappie, although long, doesn't tell us much... Let's begin.

ooohhhh.... I like Aki's pose. Cool... *drool*

This chappie picks up from where Aki asked whether he could be Riko's producer...

Riko's reply:" No way."

Aki was taken aback by her straight out refusal. Riko continued:" ..because I have an agreement with Shinya. Within this 3 years, be it lover, or anything, music comes first. Whenever he calls, I must respond immediately."

Aki was shocked and despondent as he considered the severity of the matter. Sighing, he replied:"Why such a risque agreement?"

Riko:"It is not risque. It is serious!"

Aki:"It is risque. It is the worst kind!"

Aki fretted and looked totally depressed. Riko was speechless...

Tentatively, she told him the song for the group was also ready...

Aki was surprised to hear that. He asked her when was it ready. She replied it was ready not long ago. Aki responded:"Not long ago?"

Thinking that the Aki was serious in wanting a reply, Riko was irritated. She told him that he reminded her of her dad. Her dad would ask her endless questions. Aki told her not to describe boyfriend as her dad.

Still upset that Riko's dad thought of Shinya as Riko's boyfriend. Aki told her that her father has mistaken her relationship with Shinya. Riko was shocked to discover that. She blushed and expressed her disbelief. Aki still feeling jealous, took offense at seeing her blush. He told her that blushing at that was inappropriate. (hahaha... Aki was seething with jealousy...)

Sighing again, he asked to listen to the song Shinya had written.

As Aki listen to the piece, he realised that Shinya had custom-made the song for Riko's voice quality.

Aki commented to Riko that the piece was written to reflect Riko's perfect pitch and wide range of musical notes. He acknowledged that Shinya had put in a great deal of effort to compose the piece to suit Riko...

However... (scene switched to Takagi)

Takagi was on the line with Shinya. He told Shinya that the piece of music was nothing special. Shinya defended his piece and told Takagi that his intent was to appeal to the masses.

Takagi retorted that was the difference between a man with talent and a man without. Shinya's piece of music was technically great, written to please the masses. People may buy it but that would make him a dog who does the bidding of his master (the masses).

Scene switched back to Aki. Aki told Riko that he would love to write Riko's songs. Riko was taken aback to know this. Riko commented that Aki was being wilful to make that comment. Aki, unrepentent, told her that he was being wilful.

Again, Riko rejected him.

Mali was practicing her dance steps in a dance studio. Her assistant came in with a bottled drink. Her assistant told her that the members of the new group is currently at the recording studio. She asked whether Mali has met them. Mali mentioned that she might have met some of them but not the female member.

Mali commented that someone mentioned that the female member was Aki's friend. The assistant offered to snoop around for more details. Mali stopped her and told her not to bother.

Riko and gang showed up at Harst Records for a meeting.

At the meeting, Shinya attacked the new director, Nagahama san, for being new to the job. Unfazed, she smiled at him and told him the although she was new, she would work hard to compensate her lack of experience. Unrelenting, Shinya told her that he would prefer someone with more credentials. Nagahama asked whether that was a reflection of his lack of confidence for his own music.

Scene changed to Aki's place. Aki and Shun were playing a racing game. Shun won and Aki complained that Shun's always at his place when he had nothing to do; resulting in rumours of them in a relationship. Shun complained that he seemed distracted and playing with him was not fun because of that.

Aki asked Shun whether he was aware that Shinya and the others were meeting at Harst Records now.

Aki continued to ask whether Shun has heard Shinya's new song. Shun replied that has nothing to do with him. Aki insisted that Shinya being a member of Crude Play should warrant his interest. Shun retorted that Aki seemed unhappy. Aki denied. Shun insisted that Aki was upset. Aki could not refute.

Shun told Aki to write a song too if he was so affected. He added that Takagi would be delighted if Aki decided to write for Riko. Aki confessed that he had asked to be her producer and to write songs for her and she had rejected him.

Shun was surprised to know that. Aki asked whether Riko rejecting him without considering was normal. Shun figured that it might be good for Aki that Riko rejected his offer. Aki went on to complain that Riko was Shinya's fan. Shun astutely observed that Aki must be feeling discouraged over that. Aki pouted at that comment.

Laughingly, Shun reminded him that it had always been his desire to separate work from his personal life. Riko was connected to him via their love. Riko is connected to Shun via music (work).

Back at the meeting, Takagi interrupted Shinya and Nagahama and told them that they were gathered to prepare for the group's debut in 2 months' time. Takagi apologised for the hurry. Shinya commented that the song for the group was not ready.

They went on to discuss about the group's name. Shinya suggested the name "Crap". It was rejected as they felt it sounded like a name for submarines...

Riko told everyone that they had already thought of a name for the group....

The name they came up with was rejected by Shinya. Nagahama commented that the name they came up with sounded like a comic band's name. Souta replied that they are a comic band. That left Shinya,Takagi and Nagahama speechless... Shinya told him that he would pretend that he did not hear that. Riko went on to say that they had also prepared the lyrics for Shinya's song. The lyrics talked about them warring for success. Part of it talk about them wanting to take a pee...

Out of sheer frustration, Shinya asked Riko:"Mushroom, you've mentioned that you are Crude Play's fan..." Riko blushed as she realised that Shinya was suggesting that the lyrics seemed too immature compared to CP's. Riko told him that although she loved CP, she could never sing those angsty songs as she a straight and optimistic person.

That drew a bellyful laughter from Takagi. Offended, they insisted that they were telling the truth.

Takagi told them that the lyrics sounded good to him but they would need to make some changes to the peeing part as their sponsors are bottled drinks company.

After some discussion, Nagahama came up with the suggestion of "Mush & Co" inspired by the name Shinya called Riko.

Meanwhile, back at Aki's room, Aki was busy composing...

Sigh... like I said in the beginning. Nothing much has progressed. Riko rejected Aki's offer to be producer as well as her song writer. Shinya, although got the role he wanted, he seemed not to be able to use it to his intent. Perhaps, he will realize that no matter what, he is not Aki.

I like it that Aki is feeling threatened but that's nothing new. I wish the mangaka will hurry along and show some new developments in terms of the relationship between the two. I'm getting impatient...

I have not been blogging for quite a while. I know many of you have been waiting for KwUwA. I must say the chapter is the longest by far... This is for the fans. Enjoy. ^_^

Riko's Dad apologises to Aki for the cat's misbehaviour. He explains that the cat is usually well behaved. (At that moment, the cat gave Aki the evil eye...)

Aki (kneeling in a very formal posture), tells Riko's Dad that he is well so he doesn't need to worry.

Riko's Dad serves Aki food and asks him:" What is your relationship with Riko? You can't be his boyfriend, right?" Smiling, the Dad continues:" I suspect she is dating."

Riko's Dad:"Although Riko has not said anything. As her father, I can tell. In the past, she didn't even wash her face and dashed out to school. But now, she wakes up early and takes time to beautify herself before leaving. She even helps out with cooking. This make me think that she has a boyfriend."

Aki:"That..."

Riko's Dad not paying attention to Aki, interrupts:"Do you know the band Crude Play? I wonder whether she is dating one of the member Shinya."

Riko's Dad:"If it is Shinya, then I'm happy. He seems like a good guy." (Aki is dumbfounded upon hearing that piece of news).

At that moment, Riko returns from delivering produce to customer. She sees Aki:"Ogsawara San!"

Formally, Aki bows:"I am sorry to have disturbed you." (A formal greeting made when entering someones home)

Aki and Riko go up to Riko's room. Dad is trying to eavesdrop.

Getting the first-aid box, Riko points at her bed and tells Aki to sit there.

Riko proceeds to tend to Aki's wound. Suddenly, Aki remembers that he vomited and asks whether he smells.

Riko assures him that he doesn't.

Riko finishes tending to Aki's wound. Aki thanks Riko.

Aki and Riko sit down quietly beside each other...

Scene switches back to Takaga. He is resting at home. His daughter comes to him and tells him that mum wants him to help her with her homework.

Takaga refuses to help and tells her to be more independent. When she frets and insists that he helps, Takaga tells her that it is important to depend on herself and not others as he cannot be with her forever.

Back to Aki and Riko, Aki tries to tell Riko something. Riko refuses to listen. She vacillates between wanting to listen and not. Finally, she tells Aki to she doesn't want to know. Out of frustration, Aki shouts whether she wants to hear him out or not.

Riko explains that being kept in ignorance is better than knowing the truth. She is afraid of the truth. Riko expresses that she cannot bear the thought that Aki's first time is with that woman.

Riko expresses that she feels terrible knowing the truth and feels terrible not knowing anything. Aki asks what should he do then. Riko tells him to answer the questions she asks.

Riko asks Aki how much he earns. Aki is taken aback. After much hesitation, Aki tells her about $200 000 a year. Riko tells him not to lie as she has investigated that the rent for the apartment he is staying is rather expansive.

Aki blushes and tells her that he is earning about $4 million annually. Riko wonders why he needs to feel embarrassed about his earning cos this is the fruit of his hardwork. Aki explains that he feels embarrassed because he thinks it is too much and it is 3 times more than what Shinya earns.

Riko continue with her questions. She asks whether Aki's lyrics reflect his true feelings. Aki denies. Riko smiles and tells him she is done with her questions.

Aki knows that Riko knows that he lied about the lyrics but she chooses to accept that as the truth. Aki feels that is Riko's strength.

Aki stares at Riko and asks whether she is willing to marry him. He asks her whether she wants to spend her life together with him. Riko blushes....

Riko shouts:"I can't!" Aki asks whether refusing him without considering carefully is normal. Riko tells him off that he is weird as they have only known each other for a short time and moreover, she is only 16. Aki rebuts that he is already 25 years old and he thinks it is perfectly normal. He can finally understand why some couple dates for only 3 months and is considering getting married.

Riko explains that she is going to debut soon. Aki tells her that many stars debut after they are married. Riko tells him that she doesn't want people to know her as Crude Play's Aki's wife.

Aki looks at her intensely and says that perhaps she doesn't want people to know he is her producer and she is debuting because of him.

I hope you like this chapter. I wish Riko says yes to Aki's proposal of marriage. But I can understand her concerns. Hmmm... I wonder whether Riko will agree to let Aki be in charge of her debut....

Mishounen Produce Chapter 18 (Final Chapter) 16 Feb 2011 6:32 AM (14 years ago)

As promised, the last chapter of Mishounen Produce. This is late as some personal matters cropped up.

In the previous chapter, Kousei participated in the auditions. He took the panel of judges out to the natural setting and used it to his advantage. The judges were wowed at his agility and how comfortable and fitting he seemed to his surrounding. Teasingly, one of the judges asked why he chose acting as a career as he seemed very adapt in athletics.

Kousei replied: "So as to win the heart of someone special."

Scene switched back to Kako and Tomoe. Tomoe told her that Kousei would be her leading man. He confessed that the story was inspired by both of them.

Kako turned the page of the script given to her by Tomoe. She was surprised to discover that Tomoe would be the director of the show. Tomoe told her that he had been looking out for a suitable story for his debut as a director. When he realised about Kousei and Kako's relationship and background. He could not help but be captivated by it. He confessed that was the reason for him making things difficult for Kousei recently.

Kako asked why Tomoe would consider directing as he was such an accomplish actor. Tomoe told her he would like to expand his repertoire and discover more of his talents. Tomoe told Kako he believed Kousei felt the same way. Tomoe had received news from Kousei's agency that after this movie, Kousei will take up acting classes. Kako was shocked to hear this. She asked where Kousei would be going...

Tomoe replied:" ...to America, my home."

The production team was scouting for the location for their movie shoot. The team was impressed with the location as it gave them the feel of the countryside. They praised Tomoe for having a good eye and selecting such a perfect location. Tomoe replied that Kousei was the one who suggested this place.

Tomoe told Kousei and Kako to prepare for the shoot by walking around the location together.

Kousei looking happy and carefree commented:It's been a long time since I came back to this place. The air is indeed fresher in the countryside."

Kako seemed distracted and preoccupied. Tomoe called out her name. Kako apologised for being distracted. She could not help but think that although this was their hometown but it somehow felt very different now...

Kousei asked whether Kako was alright...

Kako lamented that since the audition, to keep up with appearance, her relationship with Kousei remained as fellow actors and because of that, she could not tell him her feelings. Kako told Tomoe she's ok. Tomoe told both of them to commence the rehearsal... They would start with the scene where the two leads decided to go to the city...

Tomoe (the director) gave the cue to start the rehearsal. Kousei started acting. He shouted out loud to his surrounding:" Listen carefully! We are going to leave here and soar to the city. We will show the city folks! We country bumpkins will go to the city and conquer the world!"

Kako:"Yes... we are...!" Within her, Kako thought, Kousei and her had been childhood sweethearts...and they love each other... She didn't want to separate from him.

Kousei, still acting said:" Thus, from today onwards, even if we are in high school or in the city, we will not be separated.

Looking at Kako, Kousei said: "We will be together forever!"

Kako forgetting that they were still acting and shouted out her thoughts:"Then, why are you leaving me and going away on your own!"

Everyone on the set was taken aback by Kako's sudden outburst... Kako was shocked at her own behaviour. She muttered:" Excuse me..." turned and ran out.

Kousei:"Kako.."

As Kako ran out, she bumped into someone. She immediately apologised. Her victim turned around and shouted at Kako to be more careful. Kako was surprised the victim seemed to recognise her but she could not tell who the person was. Upon closer scrutiny, Kako realised he was Raichi Kun!

Sometime ago, Raichi kun was still dressing up as a girl. However, now he looked like a man and even his voice sounded lower. Raichi explained that his current look was the agency's decision. They have decided that he should be styled as good looking male as compared to the sweet girl look. Moreover, he had grown taller and his voice had started to break. It would be impossible if he continued to crossdress as a girl. Kako exclaimed that it was a waste as Raichi kun had done a good job role playing a girl. Raichi was touched and embarrassed by Kako's vote of confidence...

Covering up his embarrassment, Raichi told Kako she seemed to have changed. Kako thought: "Change?"

Kako looked at the surrounding and thought about the many memories she had of Kousei and her playing there. As a breeze swept through, Kako thought that things had really changed. When she was in the countryside, it never occurred to her that she would one day change and Kousei had become an actor. However, if they did not leave the countryside, she would never have discovered her feelings for Kousei.

At that moment, a voice was heard saying:" You have heard about the news..."

It was Kousei. He continued:"The news about me leaving to study overseas. I spoke to the producer and he recommended this school to me. It is a great school. However, he advised me to go early. I will be away for about 2 years."

Kako thought to herself that 2 years seemed very long...

Kousei:"Kako, this place is where we first role played your favourite manga characters. I remembered how your eyes sparkled when I role played for you. Since then, role playing to make you happy became my interest... Thus, to be successful, I chose to study abroad. I will be back very soon."

SLAP!

Kako slapped Kousei. With tears in her eyes. She told him:" I don't want you to leave... Aren't you bothered about being apart from me? We have never been apart since young... If we can't be with each other, I rather you not change! Because the you now is sufficient..."

Kako suddenly realizes what she had just said to Kousei... Tomoe appeared and asked what's going on...

Kako realized that what she had said to him was what Kousei had said to her earlier when he found out about her advertisement shots with Tomoe ... She realized that she too felt possessive of Kousei...

Tomoe, unaware of their exchange told them to get ready for the next shoot.

However, Kako started to cry and she could not control her tears. She wondered how to explain to Tomoe...

At that moment, Kousei hugged her and buried her tear stained face in his shoulders and he pushed off and the both of them fell downwards..

At the same moment, Kousei said:"As for me, I have been trying hard and enduring..."

Tomoe stared on with a shocked expression.

Both of them tumbled into a bed of leaves. Kousei breaking the fall with Kako on top of him.

Kousei continued: "When I'm with you, no matter what we are doing, I feel this strong possessive desire. Even just now, when you were crying, I don't any other men to see that. Thus, I want to be a better man."

Gently with fingers touching her tear stained face, Kousei asked:" Is that ok, Kako?"

Kako looking intently at Kousei:"I won't stop you from continuing the "Produce" project. You are the one who discovered your talent. Go ahead and soar and become world's ..."

Kako with a radiant smile added:"...become world's number one man and come back for me. I know if it is Kousei, you will be able to do it because you are my best childhood sweetheart. I am satisfied."

Kousei:"Kako... I love you." and they kissed.

Narration: We were born in the countryside. Although we have only each other, I am very blessed. Thank you Kousei. Thank you for being born to be by my side.

2 years later. It is the school's festival. The school was putting up a play, Rorensu and Bara. It was Kako's favourite manga series (Kousei used to role play that for her).

Kako was trying to get the actors ready for the rehearsal.

Raichikun quarrelled with Kako about his costume... Minase asked Kako whether she is still working at Brights Production as a manager. She explained she was still learning the ropes there not considered a manager yet.

Minase asked whether Kako was getting prepared for Kousei's return so that she could be his manager. He asked whether Kako was lonely as they did not contact each other during their separation.

Kako replied with a smile that she was never lonely.

She explained to Minase that a more accurate feeling would be anticipation. She was anticipating Kousei's return.

Suddenly, a voice cried out:" This is infuriating! This role is obviously more suitable for me!"

Kako turned... and Kousei was standing at the door:" Come over here, my princess!"

Kako in Kousei's arms:"No matter what, we will be together in this dreamlike world where only two of us exist."

Wow. That's the end of Mishounen Produce. This is definitely a shoujo manga with all the cliches. I love it as I am a shoujo manga fan! I love Kousei's possessiveness. Sigh...

Hehehe... I know I haven't been blogging for awhile. Been busy with K drama series, reading mangas as well as work. I was getting lazy... Sigh... I know some of you are eagerly waiting for some of the series. Will find time to post them up. Top of my list will be Mishounen Produce last chapter. Haven't posted that up cos I have yet to go down to the bookshop to collect my magazine. Will be doing so in the next few days. ^_^

I have with me 5 volumes of Tonari no Kaibutsukun. Mangafox has scanlated 7 chapters. Here's a summary of Chapter 8 for the fans out there.

Chapter 8: The day when the girls feel bored and melancholic

This chapter picks up from the previous chapter where Haru's brother visited them and expressed that Haru's father wanted Haru to quit school and return home. For the first time, Shizuku realized that Haru could leave her anytime...

Shizuku looked at Haru's back and thought that she couldn't bare to have him leave her...

Back at home, Shizuku received a fax from her mom asking about her brother and her well being. Father asked whether mom asked about him. Shizuku told him that she didn't even mention him... (It is hilarious that both mother and daughter seemed to have the same personality; cold hearted ^^)

Back in class, Shizuku took a deep breath before entering class. She had been doing that everyday. It is almost like she has to brace herself for something...

Scene switched to Taito's class. Taito's classmates did not know her real name and had been calling her Taizan instead. Taito felt depress and texted her girlfriend about it.

Taito thought back about how she came to be loner in school. She was sick for weeks from the first day of school. When she came back to school, everyone had already made friends and had their own cliques. Thus, she was left out and had to pretend that she liked to be alone to get by.

Suddenly, the girls screamed out they could see Haru from the window...

Taito could not help but blushed at the mere mention of his name.

Scene switched to Haru and friends at the school field...

Haru was shocked to see Nagoya (his pet rooster) with an egg! His friends told him someone must have played a prank on him.

Scene switched back to the girls in Taito's class discussing about Haru as they looked at him from the window. They commented that he looked good. They were wondering why he is always with that girl. They wondered whether she is Haru's girlfriend.

Taito felt sick hearing that...

Scene switched back to Haru's class. The teacher was asking for the class to select a new class representative. Haru, who had the impression that being a class representative equates having lots of friends and is popular, desperately tried to get Shizuku to vote for him. However, he wrote his message wrongly and thus Shizuku could not understand what he wanted.

Haru left class feeling disappointed and upset. Others were not sure why Haru was feeling down, except for Sasayan (who seemed the have this uncanny ability to interpret Haru's bizarre behaviour). Sasayan pointed out to everyone that Haru was probably disappointed with not being selected as the class representative.

Natsume took the opportunity to ask Shizuku what she thought about Taito. Apparently, Natsume also noted Taito's reactions towards Haru and could tell that she was smitted by Haru. Sasayan shared that Taito was from the class beside theirs and she was very popular with the school's baseball team as many of them found her cute.

Shizuku ignored them and told them she would rather pay more attention on her studies. As Shizuku left the class she thought about her behaviour. Recently, she could not bring herself to look at Haru. As she was wondering about her behaviour, she saw the namelist of the top scorer in a recent national mock exams. She was ranked 29. Shizuku was upset. She told herself to place more attention and emphasis on her studies.

Scene switched to Taito queuing to get a drink from the vending machine. Someone cut in front of her. Taito made no attempt to stop him...

Haru was queuing behind Taito, gave the person a kick and told him to queue up. Taito was shocked by Haru's behaviour and thought quietly that the rumours about him being a delinquent must be true...

Haru followed Taito to her lunch spot. He noted that Taito was having lunch alone. He tried to encourage her. He shared that he was once alone but now he's surrounded by friends.

Taito took the opportunity to ask about Shizuku. Without a thought, Haru told her he liked Shizuku. Taito was heartbroken upon hearing that. Before she could get Haru to clarify, they were interrupted by Natsume.

Haru told Natsume about Taito having to eat lunch alone... Before anyone could do much, Taito was brought to their class for an emergency meeting. Both Haru and Natsume, tried to come up with a plan to help Taito make more friends... Shizuku stood up to leave the class as she found them to be too noisy. Haru quarreled with Shizuku for being insensitive and unhelpful.

During Physical exercise lessons, Shizuku was without a partner. She raised up her hands to tell the teacher and was immediately partnered with Taito. Taito was impressed with Shizuku's bravery. Taito tried to apologize to Shizuku for causing Haru and Shizuku to quarrel. Shizuku told her not to worry about it as she was unaffected. Instead, Shizuku encourage Taito to be honest with her feelings. If she felt uncomfortable with Haru and Natsume's plans, she should said it clearly to them. This made Taito realized that she has always been afraid to express herself. As she compared herself to Shizuku, Taito felt even worse about herself...

Scene switched back to Taito and Haru. Taito asked Haru about his feelings towards Shizuku.

Haru turned red. Before he could reply, Natsume appeared to get them to play badminton...

At the badminton court waiting for their turn to play, Taito found herself seated between Haru and Shizuku. Taito noted that the atmosphere was most uncomfortable. Both of them were ignoring each other. Suddenly, Haru broke the silence and asked Shizuku for the reason for ignoring him. Shizuku told Haru honestly that she could not look at him because she would feel shortness of breath when she looked at him and that she could not concentrate on her studies. Haru thought that Shizuku was sick and wanted to rush her to the doctor.

Taito could not help herself, she told Haru that this meant that Shizuku has feelings for him. Taito ran away after saying that as she realized she has just helped Shizuku confessed her feelings to Haru...

The next day, Haru approached Shizuku. He realized that she did not avert her eyes from him. He commented that she behaved normally. That day with Taito made Shizuku realized that she has been foolished not placing her studies in top priority. Shizuku made up her mind to treat Haru normally.

On the other hand, Taito made Haru realized his feelings for Shizuku...

I love this series. This couple is ultimate Kawaii couple!!! More to come, look out for further developments.

Don't ask me why but they don't have to kiss deeply to move me. Such tenderness expressed through the peck on the forehead. Sigh...

I can't help myself.... I just need to talk about Secret Garden Ep 19. In fact, I would love to chat about Secret Garden the drama series. I suspect it is my way of saying goodbye to this addictive drama.

First and foremost, kyaaaahhhhh!!! *Fangirl scream* I LOVE ep 19. It made me smile, laugh and cry. And Yes! the Bling Bling tracksuit made its appearance too.

I love it that the lost of memory on Joo Won's part did not play out a cliche storyline - eg. the leads struggle in agony over the lost of memory. On the flip side, in Secret Garden, the lost of memory lent much to make the drama hilarious. I love the fact that Ra Im left a deep enough imprint on Joo Won, such that the 21 year old Joo Won couldn't understand why he felt this deep attraction against his logical deduction. It is most refreshing to see the hormone-raging 21 year old Joo Won trying to get physical with Ra Im (getting her wet and in the pool with him).

I love how Ra Im recited Joo Won's rhymn to reign in her desire when Joo Won leaned over to ask about whether they had kissed. She explained that he had recited the same rhymn in a bid to control his desire too out of respect for her. I was laughing when the 21 year old Joo Won, expressed shock and disbelief at this piece of news.

Ep 19 also provided the explanation of how Ra Im's father died to save Joo Won. It was most touching to see the rescue scene. Really, Hyun Bin's acting brought tears to my eyes. He can sell me a plain stone and pass it off as a precious diamond and I will buy it. Gosh! He is that good!!!

Joo Won regained his lost memory even that of him being rescued by Ra Im's father. I love how he tenderly kissed Ra Im on the forehead explaining that it was on behalf of her father whose last words were that she is loved...

Both Ra Im and Joo Won paid a visit to Ra Im's father's niche where Joo Won expressed his love and desire to marry Ra Im to her father. Joo Won also visited his mother and expressed his desire to marry Joo Won. I LOVE how he put it:" I have spent 34 years of my life being your son, now I am going to spend the rest of my life being her husband." That clearly spelt out his intent and emphasis on priority.

Finally, 2 interesting and curious notes:

1) A Young had a dream. We all know how accurate her dreams had been. She dreamt that in front of a tall black gate, 3 children dressed in white with tears in their eyes. Joo Won was at the side with his hands over his mouth and tears rolling down. Ra Im was bawling... What does that mean? I see triplets in Ep 20! Woo Hoo!!!

2) Joo Won apologised to Ra Im's father when Ra Im and Joo Won visited his niche. Apparently, Joo won had visited Ra Im's father's funeral wake but did not get to pass his last words to Ra Im. Hmmm... why, what happened? I wonder whether Joo Won's mother have a part to play in this.

Sigh... Ep 20 is airing in less than 7 hours! I want to hear what you think about it. Let's talk about Secret Garden...

Dear Fans of Mishounen Produce,

Next chapter will be the last chapter of Mishounen Produce. Wow! I didn't see that coming. I thought there can be further development but the mangaka wants to start something new or take a break...

Anyways, here's the latest chapter.

This chapter begins with a conversation between Kousei and Kako when they were children. Kako, dressed in a new dress, blushing, asked Kousei whether she looked pretty. Kousei replied a brisk "No" and quickly turned away. Unbeknownst to Kako, Kousei was blushing...

Back to the current, after her sucessful audition, Kako went backstage to find Kousei who had helped her earlier. She could not find him...

She saw Roi kun and asked whether he saw Kousei. Roi kun told her he had not seen him. He asked whether something had happened as Kousei was not home yesterday.

Kako went to the Producer to look for Kousei. The Producer replied that he did not see him too.

Roi told Kako not to worry as Kousei was only away for 1 day. He asked Kako how Kousei was when she last met him.

Kako was reminded of Kousei telling her that she looked very pretty then... She thought that Kousei behaved very differently from his usual self.

Scene switches to Bright Productions. Kako was given her schedule for the day. She was to prepare for a shoot...

Back at the Producer's office. Kousei turned up and the Producer told him that Kako, the bespectacled girl was looking for him. Kousei corrected the Producer and told him that Kako was no longer the bespectacled girl.

Furthermore, Kousei thanked the Producer for his support and help in the past. However, from now onwards he would...

Scene switches to Kako at the dressing room. Shinobu san was in the same room waiting. Kako broke the silence and commented that it looked like they would be working together. Kako asked whether Shinobu was there to audition for a student role? Shinobu told her she didn't think it was an audition but more like was invited to test for the role.

Shinobu told Kako that if they were to appear for an audition, Kako would not be her match. Intimidated, Kako asked what is she in for. Tomoe who heard the conversation and just entered the room told her that this audition is for a Bright's Production movie...

Upon seeing Tomoe, Shinobu pushed Kako aside and flew to Tomoe's side. Giving him her radiant smile, Shinobu expressed that Tomoe must be acting in it.

Ignoring her, Tomoe told Kako that he thought the role suited her. It is a love story between a young man and young woman...

... This couple came from a village and they had been together and cared for each other since they were young children. This story was their story, about them arriving at the city and falling in love with each other. Thinking that this story was like Kousei and her story, out loud, she told Tomoe that it seemed like a shoujou manga story.

Feeling jealous and slighted, Shinobu told Kako that she believed Kako would do an excellent job as she's most suited to play village bumpkin. Afterall, it was just a make-over that cover up her awkward, bumpkin self...

Kako:" What you said is true. I'm sure the character in the movie must have encountered people saying such things to her and her confidence may have been affected. However, she need not be discouraged and depressed due to such negative remarks."

Kako made further comments about Shinobu being more effective and natural playing the role of a bully rather than a sweet, innocent person. Kako asked Shinobu whether she felt stressed and stretched having always been cast to play a role of someone who is innocent and sweet. Shinobu upset upon hearing that shouted at her.

Tomoe laughed and agreed with Kako's observations.

Tomoe told Kako he would not be acting in the role. Kako was curious as to who would be the male lead... Tomoe replied that they had one in mind but he rejected their offer. Now, they are in the midst of searching for the right person.

Tomoe chased Kako off to her work and asked her whether she would like to see the audition of the male lead later on.

Kako thought that Kousei would fit the role perfectly. She wished Kousei was here with her. She would have advised him to take up the role.

Kako's phone rang and she answered the call. It was Kousei. Kako told him she has been worried about him, not knowing where he was.

Kousei interrupted her:"Kako, about transforming me into another person, can we stop that?"

Kako:"Why? Wait a minute, I want to ask you something else..."

Kousei:"Are you working now?"

Kako:"I'm suppose to act in this movie by Brights Production about the love between a couple from the village... Will you act in it too? "

Kousei:" I dislike it that you are moving further away from me and into the entertainment world... I called you immature and attempted to hide you away from the world... I've been so selfish... I apologise...I did this because... I love you."

Kako:"Why are telling me all these over the phone..." Kako wanted Kousei to tell her all these in person, directly...

Kousei:"And because of loving you, I have hurt you... I hate and dislike myself like that..."

"... a man like that is not suitable for you.... so please stop transforming me." With that, Kousei hang up the phone.

At that moment, Kako was asked to go to the studio for the photo shoot with Shinobu. At the photo shoot, Kako mumbled something. Irritated, Shinobu told her to speak up. Kako shouted at the top of her voice:" Don't make such a decision without consulting me!!!"

Kako thought that Kousei not liking himself was too much for her. To her, it was too uncharacteristic of him... Shinobu, shocked by Kako's behaviour, timidly asked her whether she was ok. Kako hugged her and told her that they should continue with the photo shoot and pretend to be on good terms...

Kako decided that she would go to Kousei and talked to him. She would let him know her feelings.

Kako approached Tomoe to let him know her intent of leaving and not staying to view the audition...

At that moment, the interviewer called for the next candidate...

Interviewer:" Ok.. Next is Yagami Kousei kun..." Kako's head turned at the mention of his name...

Kousei:" I've been told I became an actor because of my relationship with certain person. Now, I would like to depend on my own ability."

Judge 1: "Aren't you Yagami kun from Jumon Boy...?"

Judge 2:"Why are you without a manager or representing company? And what's with your attire?"

Meanwhile a shocked Kako stared on....

Kousei:"There is no point being accepted and celebrated when I'm hiding behind a mask. This is a story about a country bumpkin conquering the world!"

Nice Chapter! I like how both Kousei and Kako came to accept their identities separately. Can't help but find the drawings of the bishounens arresting! Sigh... this series will end with the next chapter... I'm going to miss the two bishounens.

This is the latest chapter of KwUwA. Sigh... it is rather short but shows us how Aki is coping thus far...

When Aki woke up, he looked around and thought that he was in hell. Around him were empty cans of beer and bottles of liquor. He saw half-played board game sets. And Shun's sleeping form... He eyes settled on something gross beside Shun's sleeping face... Aki could not stomach the sight. He made a dash to the toilet and threw up...

He tried to recall what happened. He remembered losing the game to Shun. He commented then that even in the game of life, he could not read the situation.. Aki continued to mumble to himself that he had carelessly changed his occupation to become a stay-home man and had to run away from suspicion of tax evasion...

Aki used his leg to nudge Shun to wake up. The phone rang. It was Senzaki from Takagi office. Shun had invited him over to clean up the house.

Aki let him in. Senzaki mentioned that he would need about 2 hours to finish cleaning. Aki replied that he would be going to the nearby convenient stall. Aki left the apartment.

As Aki was walking away from his apartment, he checked his handphone for new messages and found none. He signed as there was no new messages. Suddenly, Aki became aware of his surroundings and wondered where he was...

To his surprise, he had unknowingly walked to Riko's parents' vegetables stall. Aki commented to himself that he must be drunk. What is he doing at Riko's place? This must be Riko's father and he had just spoken his thoughts out loud?!!

Riko's father asked Aki whether he was Riko's aquaintance. Aki blushed and bowed:" Please to meet you for the very first time. I..." Aki felt nauseous...

Next scene... Aki is back in his bed, staring at his ceiling... He imagined Riko pointing an accusing finger at him and called him a gross person with serious and bizzare vomit habit.

Instead he wanted Riko to say this...

Aki imagined Riko to say:"Are you ok?"

Aki thought about Riko treating him kindly and smiling at him. It was unbearable to think about her like that...

Suddenly, he heard a sound...

Aki opened his eyes and saw a fierce-looking cat. It looked suspicious... Suddenly the cat stretched out its claws... how horrible!!!

End of the chapter... Frankly, it is really short. Nothing much except that Aki is harboring feelings of guilt towards Riko. Sigh... the mangaka is too slow. I hope she will pick up speed. I'm getting bored... However, the coming chapter seems to be about Aki and Riko's dad. That will be interesting...

(oooohhhh... hotness!!!!!)

At one point, I was so tired of the recent Korean drama series, I could not bring myself to watch any. Then lo and behold, I got wind that Hyun Bin, one of my fave Korean actors is starring in Secret Garden, I was tempted to steal a glance. I never looked back.

Although the storyline is a little cliche... the usual, rich guy falls in love with the penniless girl... But the delivery is less than cliche. Hyun Bin's character insists that his love for his poor, lower class fellow human being is part of noblesse oblige. Talk about denial! To add to the hilarity, a strange sequence of events resulting in them swapping bodies! Gosh it was so much fun to watch them trapped in different bodies! To top it all, the songs of this series are beautiful...

I'm so in love with this drama. Love the sense of humour, special little moments (eg. the walks he takes imagining she is beside him, how the titles of his books form a poem...). This series is really made for die hard romantics! Most importantly, the chemistry between the 2 leads is sizzling hot!

I apologise for the long wait and the long exodus. With this, I hope my momentum for summarising manga series will pick up.

The chapter begins with Shinya's perspective of the past. This is back to before Shinya was Crude Play's bass player.

Shinya was in the recording studio with Takagi. Shinya recalled that the first time he heard Aki's music, he was 17 years old. Takagi handed to Shinya a copy of Crude Play's song and asked whether he could help to play this song's bass.

At that time, Shinya's job was to listen to debut songs of newcomers. As he listened to Crude Play's demo tape, he commented that Aki was a good bass player. Takagi commented that Aki was 18 and of the same age as Shinya. Shinya corrected Takagi. He clarified that he was 17 and Aki is one year his senior. Shinya recalled that he was probably feeling competitive towards Aki even during then.

Takagi continued to ask Shinya what he thought of the song. Shinya told him he thought that Aki was very talented and that the song would sell well. Takagi brushed him aside and told him that he wasn't asking about that but his feelings about the song. Shinya wondered about Takagi's intentions...

Takagi pressed and asked Shinya why it is so difficult for him to answer that question. Shinya replied that he love the song and asked whether that was the answer Takagi was asking for.

Takagi ignored his outburst. He exclaimed that it was great that Shinya love the piece so much. Shinya replied that it is not important whether he love the song or not. Takagi explained that it is very important as he believed that the person who really loved the song should play it.

As Shinya observed Takagi's behaviour, he thought that the reason why Takagi was surrounded by people was because of his enthusiasm towards music...

Takagi told Shinya to listen to the whole song thoroughly. Shinya commented that Takagi seemed to really like the song very much.

Shinya remembered that at that time, Takagi looked really proud and satisfied. As Shinya listened to Aki's song, he commented that Aki was really very talented and gifted.

At that time, Shinya put in all his effort to play that piece as best as he could...

...it was his way of showing his love and appreciation for the song.

The first time Shinya met Aki, he could tell that Aki seemed uncomfortable. Shinya thought it was because Aki did not like the way he played his song. Shinya tried to experiment other ways of expressing the song to get Aki's satisfaction. He told Aki, he would play until Aki was satisfied.

Aki responded by asking Shinya whether he could do him a favour. Shinya gladly replied that he would do anything.

Aki asked Shinya to replace him as a member of Crude Play as he would never perform again. Shinya was shocked...

Takagi told Shinya that things turned out well afterall. He felt that Aki would be puffed up if everything went well for him. Takagi added that this humbling encounter may help Aki to write better music.

As Shinya listened to Takagi, he thought why no one bothered to ask him about his feelings.

Shinya thought that he was but an instrument that was selected to help cultivate a genius; he was the "hateful" character.

Shinya recalled that when Crude Play gave their debut performance, fans were screaming for Aki. They shouted that Aki was better. Aki fans had followed him since before the group was talent-scouted by Takagi.

...although he was not welcomed and loved, yet Shinya had to force himself to go out and perform...

The third single was Crude Play's number 1 single. And Crude Play became number 1 because of that song.

Shinya recalled that it was about that time that Mr Taki passed away. Mr Taki was a famous and accomplished bass player...

Shinya noted that although many famous stars appeared at his funeral, the media did not report this event. Shinya could not help but think that Mr Taki died an unknown hero.

Mr Taki left messages to many people including Shinya. Shinya looked into the note and saw the message for him:

" Shinya

Find your partners"

Since then, Shinya had been planning for his new band. Whether the name of the band is in English or Japanese, the letters must come before Crude Play. Shinya has also been scouting for a lead singer, someone better that Shun of Crude Play...

Shinya thought that no matter how talented Aki was. The band would not be so popular without a good singer. In one their practice sessions, Shinya could not help but conclude that Shun was a very good singer... Takagi laughed and commented that Shun has very good showmanship. Shinye concluded that would make Takagi the genius of spotting talented people.

At that time, Aki's music was about friends, family and day to day events. Shinya wondered whether Takagi introduced his own lover to Aki to help him further his music-writing career (to help him find love and write about love).

Shinya could not help but wonder whether to Takagi, Aki was that important.

Shinya continued to wonder whether Takagi planned everything. To introduce Aki to love using his own lover and to forcefully take her away from him so that he would experience a broken heart. And all this to help Aki write better songs... He wondered whether Riko was part of Takagi's plan to help Aki write better songs...

Shinya recalled the time when Riko took his hand and agreed to be his protege, he was so excited and happy then.

He recalled Aki stating that Riko is his girlfriend... Shinya thought that he would have to break them up. He absolutely MUST break them up...

What an interesting chapter! Takagi is such a scary character. Manipulative and crazy. I have no pity for Shinya. Although he was made used of by Takagi to further Aki's talents, Shinya had a choice. No one put a gun to his head and forced him to be Crude Play's bass player. Shinya is responsible for his choice and not Aki.

I hope Shinya will not end up the ultimate villian.

In any case, the story is picking up. Shinya has declared his intentions of breaking Aki and Riko up. Show time...

Hi All! I apologise for the long break and inactivity. Been very, very busy. Thankfully, my busy days will be ending soon. I'm so looking forward to the Christmas and New Year holidays! Yeah!!!

I have so many summaries to clear. I will start off with Mishounen Produce.

Chapter 16 begins with Kako's classmate pointing at photos of Kako that appeared in some magazine. They were asking who is this Kako and that she is beautiful. One of them mentioned that the girl in the photo shares the same name as their classmate Kako who is a nerd. At that moment, Kako appeared and interrupted their conversation. She wanted to get to her seat and one of the boys was sitting on it.

Roi stared at Kako. He couldn't believe his eyes...

He expressed his shock. He wondered how it was possible for Kako to transform to such a startling beauty. He asked whether Kako was interested to be an artiste (performer/actress)... Suddenly, Kousei appeared and hovered protectively over Kako. He told Roi not to touch Kako.

Kousei:"Kako..."

Kako thought that all she had done thus far was due to Kousei. She turned towards Roi and told him she would see him tomorrow and that she had to leave now for a selection interview. With that she left and ignored Kousei.

Kousei muttered that he would not allow her to go for the selection interview...

Roi:"Kousei, you have kept her locked up in a cage. Although, I can understand how you feel, but..."

Kousei:"But Kako can be happy like that..."

Roi:"She seemed placated but if she is unhappy, she will retaliate..." Roi told Kousei that he seemed rather childish...

Next Scene switches to Kako at the selection interview location. She was told that she was to participate in this selection interview for a"Miss Young Princess". She was to think of an item to perform. When her name was being called, she was to stand in the middle of the stage and perform her best. She was asked what was her talent.

Kako wondered what is her talent. She searched her bag and produced several comic books. Needless to say, that was not accepted as a talent. Kako had difficulty coming out with something she was good at...

Slowly, the other contestants streamed in. Kako could not help but made comparison. She was beginning to feel nervous.

Kako encouraged herself so that she could do her best and impressed Kousei. Kako realised that she was supposed to act as a princess from her favourite manga series "Rorebara"...

Kako was trying to psyche herself up for the role. She reminded herself that it was very much like how she prepared and trained Kousei for his various roles and projects. As she was doing so, she suddenly had a vision of Kousei calling her childish...

Kako tried her best to distract herself by making herself think of her good points. Without knowing, she spoke her thoughts outloud:"My good points..."

Shinobu san who was in the same room:"Isn't it too late to think about your talents?" Kako was surprised to see her. She asked her why she came and whether she came to observed as she was last year's Miss Young Princess. Shinobu was upset that Kako called her "last year's Miss Young Princess". Shinobu decided to hurt Kako...

Shinobu:"If you don't know what your talents are let me help you. None. You have no talents. If you don't know it yourself, how can others help you!"

Kako told herself not be swayed by Shinobu's cruel words. An announcement was made to commence the selection process...

Kousei arrived at the set and was looking for Kako. He was determined to stop her from entering the selection process...

Suddenly, he saw Kako crouched in a corner with her head down. He was shocked. At the same time, Kako's name was called out. It was her turn for the screen test.

Kousei:"What happened? What are you doing?"

Kako told him she could not think of any talents. She believed she has no talents... She said that it is no wonder she could not find any talents. She said she didn't even like herself because the person she loves said that she was childish. She asked Kousei:"Being like that, how am I suppose to have confidence?"

Kousei grabbed her and dragged her out towards the stage where the selection process was being conducted.

Kousei:"Please don't cry , Miss..."

Kousei:"I have locked you in this small world is because I wanted your smile to belong to me alone. I am sorry. You are very beautiful."

Kousei:"You being like that, you are already very beautiful." After saying that, Kousei slowly exited from the stage

Kako wondered whether Kousei is reading from the manga script...

Kako replied:"I... I'm not special and I don't have special talent and there is nothing on me that is like a princess but..."

Kako continued:"I like shoujou mangas and I love the Prince who helped me. This love I have is real and I am very confident of my love."

Kousei at the backstage commented to himself:"Am I a child?"

That ends Chapter 16. Sigh... I wish Kousei would come right out and tell Kako his feelings for her. Well, saying that she is beautiful and telling her that he feels possessive of her is enough for now but my patience is wearing thin... and Kako can be so dense...

I've not blogged about comics for quite awhile! Can't believe how terribly busy I've been. So many things to share about and so little time. ^^

I apologise to all who have been waiting for updates on the various series. Will try to get them out when I'm less tied up.

Having said that, last week, I was near the bookstore with no intention to buy new comics cos there are a few comics sitting at home waiting for me to summarise. Before I knew it, I found myself paying for a new series. Sigh... I could not help it cos this series is so interesting!!!

Tonari no Kaibutsukun. This series is relatively new. It is in its fifth volume in Japan. I have in my hands 4 volumes. Yummilicious!

I love the story. The mangaka, Robico has a humorous way of relating the story and the drawing is beautiful.

Mizutani Shizuku, our female lead, is a straightforward, cold-hearted kind of girl who speaks her mind not caring whether she will hurt a person's feelings. She cares only about her grades and her studies. She was bribed by her teacher to deliver lesson notes to Yoshida Haru, our male lead. (Teacher promised to get Shizuku a book she needed). Haru was in school for the first day and subsequently was suspended because he inflicted serious bodily injuries to a group of students. Shizuku was unaware of Haru's existence even though he was suppose to sit beside her.

Upon hearing that Shizuku was from his school, Haru jumped out of the window (from the 3rd floor!) in a bid to escape from her. He assumed that the class teacher has sent her to get him back to school. When he later found out that she was to deliver lesson notes to him and not to convince him to go back to school, he thought she was a kind classmate who (on her own accord) was concerned about him. (It is hilarious to see the assumptions Haru made....^^) Anyways, he was touched that Shizuku considered him a friend (again, Haru is assuming she cared, in actual fact, she was bribed by the class teacher). At first, Shizuku has no interest in talking to Haru, it is all very one-sided. But later on, through her observations, Shizuku realised that Haru is a very simple-minded, innocent person whose actions are misinterpreted by others. In school, people see Haru as an ultra delinquent who is very violent. In actual fact, Haru is scared of school because he could not understand why people don't like him.

During her visit to deliver the lesson notes, Shizuku realised that a group of deliquents were taking money from Haru by pretending to be his friends, she told him they were not his friends. Haru was so upset, he dumped his drink on her. Later on, Haru found out that Shizuku was right as Shizuku stood up for him against the delinquents and told them off. Haru was so touched he declared that he is in love with her! Haru is even willing to go back to school as long as Shizuku is nearby. Shizuku is convinced that Haru has misunderstood his feelings for her.

I love the humor in this manga. ^^ Apart from that, I like the way the mangaka explained the characters' background. Each character has an intriguing and touching past. I was laughing and crying as I read through 4 volumes in one sitting.

I love a manga with a cold-hearted heroine and a troublesome, innocent hero. What an interesting combination!

Mangafox has uploaded 5 chapters of it. Once I find the time and if you are interested, I will summarize the other chapters.
