Dona Berta Vinha Centenária 2009 4 Oct 2013 6:10 AM (11 years ago)

From Douro Valley this "Vinha Centenária" made among others with Casculho, Cornifesto and Bastardo grape varieties is an interesting wine. Dark purple color with an intense aromatic complexity gives us lots of pleasure when tasted. Elegance, softness and complexity. Red fruit, balsamic hints and cassis.

Jean-Luc & Paul Aegerter Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune Réserve Personnelle 2006 23 Jul 2013 7:04 AM (11 years ago)

Made only with Pinot Noir grape variety this Classic wine form Aegerter wine company which was founded in 1988 is for me, used to drink powerfull wines, almost like a simply wine, perhaps a day to day Rosé. With a light purple color and fruity aroma it's for sure a light wine, spiced and dry. Was expecting a lot more of it.

Bafarela 17 2008 23 Jul 2013 2:40 AM (11 years ago)

Tasted again. Terrible again. I really hate this wine.

Made with Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca grape varieties from Cima Corgo (São João da Pesqueira) terroir has dark and opaque color and an alcoholic aroma, fruity but alcoholic. In the mouth we're able to feel a little bit of fruit and .....alcohol.

Unpalatable!!!

Alandra 2012 11 Jun 2013 2:20 PM (11 years ago)

2013 is the begginnig of a new era in Esporão wine company. From now on Alandra will appear on the market with lighter bottles (around less 50 g each) which represents a great contibution to save the world environment.

Being cheap wines and non of them are used to be my favorite, I've to be honest saying that the profile is nowdays a different one.

Both of them are made with several different grape varieties although we can smell and taste lots of fresh fruit, like strawberries and cherries on the red and grape peel, tea and grass on the white one.

Already known by not having a great sctruture or acidity these are wines to drink day by day during all the year.

Made with Roupeiro and Arinto grape varieties it's a wine that doesn't please me. Green color and strange un ripe aroma. Rubber. Phosphorus. Stones (?). I find out a lack of acidity. Average finish.
