Whale Tail
1 May 5:00 AM (yesterday, 5:00 am)

One of my favourite things is go when in the right water and time of year is to go whale watching. I'm lucky that I've seen whales several times while on holiday, up in Alaska and down in Hawaii, and it was seeing them that inspired these nails. Here's what I came up with!!!
Started with a coat of Essie In the Cab-ana, no top coat.
Topped accents nails using KBShimmer Chill Out (reflective), no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped accent nails using image from Apipila P62 with MdU 91.
Stamped the middle and ring using same Apipilia P62 plate, using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.
Shadow stamped the tails using CjS 165.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
While I'm happy I've seen whales, my next hope is that I can see a whale breach; it's on my bucket list!

Waves
28 Apr 5:30 AM (4 days ago)

I love to watch the waves in the ocean and take a lot of pictures of the waves coming in, rolling and then crashing to the beach. Really, anything to do with water, I'm in. I did a day trip to specifically to Nazare (IYKYK) when I did a European cruise a few years ago as I really wanted to see the 50, 60, 70 or even 80+ feet high waves and although they were large, they weren't the monster waves I was looking for but we still seen lots of waves and the coast line was still stunning. Apparently they were the really big waves the day before we visited but it is one of those things onthat you have to be at the right place at the right time. I do hope to return someone and see them. In the meanwhile, these waves will have to do!
Started with a base of Morgan Taylor Powers of Persuasion, no top coat.
Topped with a coat of Stella Chroma Ghost, PPU September 2022. Layering Ghost was the right call; it added a lot of umph to the base!
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped with image from Marianne Nails n. 53 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, Moyra SP 19, and Painted Polish Stamped in Periwinkle, no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Sailing Away!
25 Apr 5:30 AM (7 days ago)

I'm on a cruise right now, soaking up the sun, lounging by the pool, snorkeling and swimming in the ocean and enjoying all the buffets! Cruise calories don't count! Actually, the last few cruises I've been on, I actually lost weight! I think from all the walking, getting in over 20,000 steps a day, eating all the fruits, etc. Anyway, the next few posts are going to be fun in the sun and water mani's that I didn't do specifically for this vacation, but rather, random mani's here and there that I've done over the years and not year shared but are appropriate for the theme. Thanks for looking!
Lina Born to Sail 01
Started with a base of two coats of Glisten & Glow You've Been Hazed (A Box Indied April 2014), no top coat.

Did layered stamping using Lina Born to Sail 01 plate, using Funky Fingers Guesso.
Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Thanks for looking!

One little fiber wrecked this mani. It's too bad I didn't notice it earlier and could have removed it before I took all the pictures for these nails, but it is what it is.
Started with a base of Cupcake Polish Suitor on a Scooter, two coats, no top coat. I love this holo; it is a great shade of blue; not too dark, not too light and has oodles of holo in it! Holo all the days!
Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped using Moyra 21-Retro, using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
Thanks for looking!

Beachy Blues
10 Apr 5:30 AM (22 days ago)

I did these nails in the heat of summer last year and I think they are perfect summer nails. I think they need to be repeated!
Started with a base of two coats of Morgan Taylor Take Me To Your Tribe, no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. I always top my basecoat with quick dry and let it dry about 5 minutes before doing any sponge gradients as I find it doesn't lift the polish during the sponge process.
Did a sponged gradient using Morgan Taylor Take Me To Your Tribe, BKind Sauble Beach and Quo Stormy Night. Interesting fact; I was about 5 km from Sauble Beach when I did these nails!
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped with an image from UberChic UC 28-03 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.
Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

This is a simple mani that is everything I love about nail stamping; an interesting image that shows the beauty of the polish underneath. Here's what I came up with!
Started with a base of three coats of Potion Polish Autumn Drive, no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped using an image from Creative Shop 75 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
My nails haven't looked like this for so long that I see these pictures and thing, whose nails are these! I hope they look something like this soon!

These nails are mesmerizing! They are also the second oldest nails on my camera roll that haven't been shared yet, dating back to June 28, 2018! Wow! I know they are older nails as I don't do this pose any more. I don't remember consciously deciding to change it, I just know over time it has changed. I won't say evolved as that implies that it's better and I can't say that is the case lol! Although I suppose this pose is better for the new rectangle images on IG now!
Started with a base of two coats of Different Dimension Kiss Me Under The Light of a Thousand Stars, no top coat. It's no secret this is one of my favourite polishes. I have several backups and use it often when I just can't pick which polish to use!
Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped using an image from Apipila Super Placa M using Funky Fingers Dark Knight, no top coat. (This might be Pueen 59; not sure though.)
Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
I have around 300 manis in draft and probably the same number still to upload from my camera; however, it is getting harder and harder to post manis that aren't blue or daisies lol, and I do try to change things up when I'm not sharing holiday or themed nails. I haven't been regularly doing my nails the last two or so years since my nail issues started so a lot of what is being posted is from the archives. So I hope you enjoy the shared ones, even though I may be sharing a string of blue or daisy ones!
Thanks for looking!
Timeless!
2 Apr 5:30 AM (last month)

Cobalt blue and white never go out of style, IMHO, and these are a good reason why I feel this way! The white just pops against this awesome shade of blue! Here's what I came up with!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped using image from Lina License to be Sexy 01! using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

I think the addition of the layered flakies really adds to this mani; so glad I added it before the stamping! Here's what I came up with!
Started with a base of two coats of Quo Sweet Lollipop, no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Sugar Bubbles SB 062
Did a sponged gradient using Quo Sweet Lollipop and Orly Gotta Bounce.
While that was pretty, I wanted to add a little extra, so topped with a coat of Fancy Gloss Witchcraft.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped using Sugar Bubbles Sb 062 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.
Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Thanks for looking!

It's been a few posts since I last shared these daisy nails that I keep on rehashing over and over so here's another version! Here's what I came up with!
Started with a base of Orly De-Stressed, with accent nails of Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Candy Floss.
Kelly Negri KN 33

Dotted all floral centers using Painted Polish Stamped in Starfruit.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
Thanks for looking!
Bright Pink!
24 Mar 5:30 AM (last month)

It doesn't happen often, but this is one of those times that I wish I hadn't have stamped these nails. They turned out decent enough; however, they were so bright and then the stamping diminished them a bit. Pretty, still, but the bright was stunning!
Started with a base of two coats of All Mixed Up Lacquers I Am The Confusion (June 2024 PPU), no top coat.
Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
UberChic UC Isn't It Romantique
Stamped using UberChic UC Isn't It Romantique with Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.
Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
These nails still turned out nice, but the pink was so bright; I loved it!
Shells!
22 Mar 5:30 AM (last month)

Another tropical mani with these shell nails! I think this base is perfect for these nails as it looks like the beautiful blues of the ocean where you find shells!
Started with a base of Femme Fatale Floral Coral, HHC October 2022, no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped using B. 11 Summer Paradise using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.

Waves!
19 Mar 6:00 AM (last month)

I used to do these gradient type of nails all the time but I haven't done them in a while. These nails are from 2021 and I'm not even sure I've done them since, although I'm not sure why as I think these are kinda cool! Here's what I came up with!

Polishes used, starting at thumb and going clockwise, all Picture Polishes, Cosmos, Freya's Cats, Forget Me Not, Alice and Ariel, no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Here's one of the St. Patrick's Day mani's I did this year. I think they turned out pretty cool and hope they inspire anyone with very short nails.

These nails were done less than a week ago; as you can see they are just growing out, which is why I haven't done more than a couple St. Patrick's Day nails. Buttttt, a day or so ago, I noticed what looked like a little free edge so clipped one nail down even more so no more mani's for a few days.

I was one of those kids who played with Barbie's with my friends. We made a Barbie house with many levels, Barbie vehicles, Barbie beaches, sewed clothes for all the Barbie, did their hair, their nails, etc. So much time by myself and my friends playing with Barbie's! I also spent a lot of time looking for Barbie accessories. I had Barbies that had shoes that didn't fit that well and was constantly looking for a shoe or boot that had fallen off! Also, the earrings and ring that often fell out and were so small and I searched forever looking for them all the time as I liked to keep things all together and it would bother me until I found them lol. Come to think of it, I still have those Barbie's someplace in the basement. I hope my grandkids like to play with Barbie's as much as I did!

I went on vacation not too long ago and it has prompted me to post some themed nails including this one. Here's what I came up with!

4 Mar 5:30 AM (last month)

I think I've shared enough winter nails for the season, although I do have a few more nails that I haven't shared and they might show up between now and spring! But I'm thinking of warmer weather, so am going to share a few tropical or nautical nails over the next little while. Starting with this one! I love the look of these nails; it's hard to believe that I did them almost 5 (!) years ago! Here's what I came up with!
Started with a stamper smoosh base using Fancy Gloss Neon Yellow, Neon Green, and Neon Blue.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
MoYou Tropical Collection-17
Stamped using MoYou London Collection-17 using Funky Fingers Dark Knight.
Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

We had a few warm (for winter) days after our big snowfall and it was good because so much of the snow was able to melt. The snow banks were soo high and there wasn't a lot of places to put it so the melt really will help if we some accumulation. But we are in another deep freeze; it's suppose to be -17C tonight which is chillyyy! Here's what I came up with!
Started with a base of Pahlish Olaf (Black Friday 2024) on thumb, three coats of Moon Shine Mani Peace and Love on the Planet Earth on the index and pinky and Morgan Taylor Powers of Persuasion on the rest. I first put a coat of Polished for Days Lilac Soft Focus on all nails the the Morgan Taylor.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Take care out there; stay warm and drive safely!
