Review: Inglot Creamy Concealer in 63 28 Mar 2013 11:36 AM (12 years ago)

I absolutely hate it when my under eye area looks dry or cakey.. But because of my dark circles, I tend to pack concealer on just to cover them.. So I'm always on the look out for a concealer that gives me full coverage without the cakeyness.. So I decided to check out Inglot and see what they have to offer..

Best Skincare Product Ever! 13 Mar 2013 6:06 AM (12 years ago)

I'm always on the lookout for something to help diminish my dark spots (post acne marks and tiny sun spots) and believe you me, I have tried almost everything out there.. From Clinique to Estee Lauder to Kiehl's to Sisley and the list goes on.. And none of the products I have used lightened my dark spots as much as this product did..

Review: Inglot Freedom System Palette - Eye shadows & Lips 7 Feb 2013 1:35 AM (12 years ago)

The more I try Inglot products, the more I fall in love with the brand.. The quality of their products is superb.. And for the price point, it's just amazing!

Inglot's Freedom System Palette is great.. You get an option of getting a simple plain palette or one with a mirror and a brush which is I went for.. The palette is so slick and awesome for travelling..

Here are the Eye shadows and Lipsticks I picked..

Words cannot describe how happy and grateful I am for everything God has given me.. And on the 15th of November 2012, God has granted me the best gift ever...

My Little Baby Amna

Life already feels different.. It's amazing how this tiny little thing has stolen my heart even before I met her..

Here is a quote that describes how I feel..

"No one will ever know the strength of my love for you..
After all, you know what my heart sounds like from the inside"

Although it wasn't easy and I know things will get harder and my life will change completely, Motherhood is truly a blessing

That and my curiousity about some products =P

That One Eye Shadow I've Been Searching For.. 26 Sep 2012 6:55 PM (12 years ago)

I'm a Brown and Bronze eyeshadow kinda girl.. I just think they suit me the most.. But sometimes, I just want a very natural effortless everyday look.. So I've been on the hunt for a good light all over the lid shadow.. And because I have sort of deep set eyes, light shades NEVER look good on me.. They kinda make my eyes look too close or something.. I dunno but they just don't look right..
That was until I came across this beauty...

Forgive Me But Tom Ford Made Me a Savage! 12 Jun 2012 11:31 AM (12 years ago)

Ain't nothing better than a blush that works as a bronzer and blush in one. I just couldn't resist the loveliness of the texture and shade of Tom Ford Blushes so I went ahead to check out what other shades they have to offer.. And this baby came home with me..

Product

- A very unique bronzy shade with a slight red and peachy undertones as well as very fine rosy shimmers that give a beautifully subtle sheen
- Not as dark as it looks in the pan so don't be scared
- Very pigmented so you need a little bit
- Blends well on the cheeks
- Good staying power

Who Will Like This?

- Anyone who is looking for a blush that works as bronzer and blush in one
- Anyone is wants that bronzy summery look without looking muddy
- People with medium to dark skin tones.. This will look amazing on them

Who Won't Like This?

- People who have a naturally pinkish skin tone as this can make you look redder because of the reddish undertones and the rosy shimmers

My Final Thoughts: Despite the dark scary colour in the pan, this shade looks surprisingly natural on the skin.. I love the effortless glow it gives.. And as you can see from the comparisons above, I haven't found anything like it.. It's truly one of a kind..

Which blushes stand out in your collection?

Review: Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Foundation SPF25 11 Jun 2012 12:19 PM (12 years ago)

My skin goes through phases.. Dry or very dry.. So finding the right kind of foundation can be a challenge as many foundations cling on to dry patches or accentuate certain problem areas..

So when Bobbi Brown came out with moisturizing foundation that provides good coverage, I just had to get my hands on it..

Product
- Easy to blend
- Medium Coverage
- Not the most light-weight foundation.. You can feel that you're wearing something on your face
- Good shade selection
- Must be powdered even if lightly to ensure longevity
- Dewy finish
- Provides great hydration
- Contains sun protection, Shea Butter and Evening Primrose. It also claims to help replenish & strengthen skin over time

Application Method

I prefer using my finger tips to blend it into my skin, just like the way I would apply my moisturizer

Who Will Like This?
- People with dry skin, this is an amazing foundation!
- Anyone who is on the go and isn't too religious about moisturizing their face before foundation, this foundation is 3 in 1.. A moisturizer + a foundation + Sunscreen
- Anyone who cares enough to have ingredients that feed their skin in their foundation

Who Won't Like This?
- Anyone who has oily skin or T-zone as it will feel too greasy on their skin
- Anyone who prefers a matte or satin finish

My Final Thoughts: I really like the way this foundation feels on my skin and how easy it is to apply.. The key is to use a tiny bit at a time as to not pack the product on which can result in it feeling too heavy on the skin.. I especially love the dewy finish it gives my skin.. Makes it look healthy and glowy in a good way..

What type of foundations do you prefer to wear?

Review: Burberry Sheer Luminous Compact Foundation 3 Jun 2012 11:30 PM (12 years ago)

With my dry skin, I don't usually reach out for powder that much.. But when I swatched this at the Burberry counter, I just had to have it.. And here's why..

Product

- Amazingly smooth texture
- Gives a beautiful velvety finish
- Doesn't dry up your skin
- Does not control oil
- Longevity I would say is average.. Not so bad.. Depends on how hot your weather is
- Light to Medium coverage

Application

- Although this foundation comes with a sponge, I never really use it unless I want to touch up during the day.. But I love applying this with Sephora Mineral Powder Brush #45.. It buffs the powder in sooo nicely

Who Will Like This?

- Anyone who is looking for a powder that won't dry up their skin
- Anyone who wants a powder to set their makeup without messing with the foundation's finish much
- Anyone who likes their powder to give that little bit of extra coverage

Who Won't Like This?

- People with oily skin as this does not control oil

My Final Thoughts: I love this powder.. On days I don't feel like wearing foundation, I apply concealer and then buff this powder on top for a velvety flawless finish.. At first it looks matte but after a few minutes when it blends in and gives a lovely glow to my skin.. Amazing amazing powder..

What's your favourite powder?

Brighten Up Your Summer With Tom Ford Cheek Colour in 03 Flush 14 May 2012 11:40 PM (12 years ago)

Feels soooo good to be back!!! And with what?! A blush post of course!! =P

I decided I wanted to try at least one product from Tom Ford.. And when I saw this blush, I thought it HAD to be this one! It's a gorgeous gorgeous colour.. I did my best to capture it on camera but I still feel that it doesn't show its true colour...

Product

- VERY pigmented.. I use a stippling brush with this as you need the tiniest amount
- Has a subtle sheen to it that it won't accentuate pores
- Gorgeous bright almost neon coral
- Good staying power
- Blends well

Who Will Like This?

- Anyone who is brave enough to at least try it.. I feel that it's the kinda colour that would suit even paler skin tones

Who Won't Like This?

- Anyone who isn't willing to spend that much money on a blush

My Final Thoughts: I absolutely LOVE this blush! It gives the most beautiful corally glow to the cheeks without looking like a clown.. I dab the colour on the apples of my cheeks and my look is transformed completely!

What is your favourite bright blush?

Delyteful Speaks Again... 1 Jan 2012 11:59 AM (13 years ago)

I am so terribly sorry for the long silence on this blog.. I sorta kinda got engaged and now I'm getting married in 3 days!!!!! So you can imagine how hectic it's been for me.. This is the last post as a single woman.. When I come back (in February), Ima be a married woman! Haha It's crazy really how things work out sometimes..

So on to beauty!

I've been thinking so much about what I'll be taking with me on my honeymoon.. I want products that are easy to apply and of course ones that are long lasting.. And here are some of the products I've found while going through my beauty stash...

Coverage: Light to Medium
Finish: Between a satin and dewy finish on me as I make sure I apply a rich moisturizer beforehand.. But I think it leans more towards a Matte finish
Application: Finger tips
Cons: The shade tend to have a slight pink undertone

The reason I'm taking this foundation out of all the foundations I have, is because this is super easy to apply and blends in so well.. It also gives my skin such a beautiful natural glow which is always what I'm seeking.. Not to mention, it's a skincare type of foundation.. Works well for those with sensitive skin!

Application: Fingers.. Blends like a dream
Longevity: Not too bad.. But I love that it doesn't crease..
Cons: If you have oily eye lids, you'll have to use a good eye primer with it

I've braged about this product here.. Love how easy it is to apply and how beautifully it transforms my eyes.. Also, this can be worn as bronzy highlighter!

Application: MAC 188 Stippling Brush
Cons: Dries really fast and once it does, it's really hard to blend out

This thing seriously does not budge which is what I love about it the most! You can read more about it in my blush post here.. The only issue I have with this is that you have to work super fast with is coz it dries quickly but I just adore this shade!

Finish: Satin.. Moisturizing yet not too glossy
Cons: Not very long wearing

This is pretty much the only baby pink lipstick that works well on my skin tone.. It's what I thought MAC Creme Cup would be.. Beautiful baby pink with tiny gold flecks that give the lips a nice subtle sheen..

And these are just a few of the products that will be coming along with me to my honeymoon.. Again I apologize for the very very very late post and I wish you all an amazing new year with new opportunities...

Be the best you can be!

Peace
xoxo

Hair Me Out! 23 Oct 2011 11:55 AM (13 years ago)

So let's talk about hair shall we?

I'm very picky about what I use on my hair because it took me a long time to get it healthy again.. So here's what has been working for me.. And what hasn't..

*Note: All TRESemme products have been sent to me by the company and I did not purchase them with my own money

 S  H  A  M  P  O  O  S

 Lush Rehab Shampoo

When it comes to my hair, I much prefer natural products.. And Rehab is just that.. It gives me clean hair without the extra chemicals other shampoos have.. It's non-drying & the smell is ok.. Herbally..

Would I Re-Purchase? Definitely!

Lush Big Shampoo
I use this salt based shampoo once a week and I LOVE what it does to my fine hair.. It gives it volume and lightness that feels absolutely amazing! The trick is to only use this once or twice a week as it can dry out your hair.. But it's an absolute must-have!

Would I Re-Purchase? Again and again

TRESemme Anti Hair Fall Shampoo

You know how some shampoos make your hair kind crispy and hard that you feel the NEED to apply conditioner afterwards? Well this doesn't do that.. It lathers up really nicely and makes your hair smooth.. Well in the shower at least.. After a month of using just this shampoo I felt that my hair was drier and frizzier than usual.. Maybe it's the amount of chemicals in this.. But I couldn't continue using it.. And as for the hair fall, this did nothing for it..

Would I Purchase? Nope

Liante Apple Shampoo For Normal Hair

Another favourite of mine.. I have to always have this in my shower.. Even if I'm trying out other shampoos.. As this never fails me.. Smells amazing.. Leaves hair clean and fresh.. Only problem is that I can only find it at my Jean Paul Salon in Dubai.

Would I Re-Purchase? Absolutely!

 C  O  N  D  I  T  I  O  N  E  R  S

Tresemme Anti Hair Fall Conditioner

This wasn't as bad as the shampoo.. It worked pretty well as a conditioner.. Doesn't smell bad either.. Got nothing bad to say about it..

Would I Purchase? Probably not only because I love my current conditioner more

Liante Pineapple Conditioner for Damaged Hair
This I absolutely love! It's my favourite conditioner.. Makes my hair super smooth and smells amazing.. I've bought so many bottles of this already..

Would I Re-Purchase? Already have and always will

 H  A  I  R    M  A  S  K  S

Fekkai Protein Rx Anti-Breakage Treatment Masque

First this that needs to be mentioned about this product is that it smells AMAZING! This makes my hair so soft and untangled.. A really great deep hair conditioner..

Application: After I shampoo my hair, I skip the conditioner and I apply this on the lower part of my hair.. Never on the top as it can make your hair oily.. I put my hair up and leave it on for at least 3 minutes before I wash it of..

Would I Re-Purchase? Yes!

TRESemme Hair Mask for Extra Dry Brittle Hair

Hmmm I had hopes for this product but it didn't do much for my hair at all.. I didn't like the smell.. It didn't hydrate my hair as well as other masks have..

Application: Same as the Fekkai Masque

Would I Re-Purchase? No

 L  E  A  V  E - I  N    T  R  E  A  T  M  E  N  T  S

Lush R&B Hair Moisturizer

Love love love this product! I did mention this product my previous Lush post here.. This totally kept my hair healthy.. I used to NEED a trim every month, but since I started using this, I don't need to get a trim as frequently as it keeps my ends moisturized and healthy..

Application: I use this when I get out of the shower while my hair is damp.. Not wet.. Concentrating on the lower part of my hair

Would I Re-Purchase? Of course!

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Now this is one of the most effective hair savers! After religiously using this for over 6 months my hair thanked me! It left my ends healthy and shiny..

Application: I apply this on damp hair to the ends only! And once your hair is dry, there is zero oil residue and the ends look defined and just lovely!

Would I Re-Purchase? Always

 S  T  Y  L  Y  I  N  G    P  R  O  D  U  C  T  S

TRESemme Heat Defence

Love the ease of use of this product.. I spray this on wet hair and I go on with my styling confident enough that my hair is protected.. Smells lovely too!

Would I Purchase? I will

TRESemme Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray

This is an amazing spray! It held my curls for days without making them crispy or eeky.. Really good hair spray for those who are looking for something that keeps your hair looking natural and hairspray-free ;)

Would I Purchase? Yes Yes!

What are some of your favourite hair products?

Review: UNE 100% Mineral Foundation 17 Oct 2011 7:10 AM (13 years ago)

I love the whole concept of mineral makeup.. I love that they don't harm the skin as much as other cosmetics do.. The first mineral foundation I've tried is Bareminerals.. And as much as I love it.. I just had to give UNE a try...

Product

- Light to Medium coverage
- Blends really well that it looks like you're not wearing makeup
- Doesn't accentuate pores or dryness
- Gives a beautiful glow
- Feels super light

Application

I really enjoy applying this with my Sephpra Mineral Powder Brush in #45

Who Will Like This?

- Anyone who wanted to love Baremineral foundation but it just didn't work for them because of breakouts, dryness or pores
- Anyone who is looking for a very light-weight foundation
- Anyone who loves their foundation to add that little bit of a glow to their complexion

Who Won't Like This?

- Anyone who isn't a huge fan of powder foundations

My Final Thoughts: I LOVE this powder a lot more than my Bareminerals.. It doesn't accentuate my pores the way Bareminerals does.. In fact, it actually blurs them out! It also brightens up my face in a really natural and healthy way.. Been really enjoying this powder heaps! I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a mineral powder foundation..

Would I Re-Purchase? Definitely!

What's your favourite Mineral Foundation?
Have you tried anything from UNE?
