It wasn't even close.
The Recall effort against Los Angeles County District Attorney has failed. Like, really failed. So what happened. I know what happened. We all know what happened. I won't get into the dirt at this moment, there will be plenty of time for that. In the meantime, here is the OFFICIAL STATEMENT from The Dean of Democracy, Mr. Dean Logan, the Registrar Recorder for the County of LA LA Land...
Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Completes Petition Verification for District Attorney Recall
Attempt Petition found insufficient to qualify the recall for the ballot
LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced the RR/CC has completed the examination and verification of all 715,833 petition signatures submitted for the recall of Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon.
Based on the examination and verification, which was conducted in compliance with the statutory and regulatory requirements of the California Government Code, Elections Code, and Code of Regulations,
520,050 signatures were found to be valid and 195,783 were found to be invalid.
To qualify the recall for the ballot, the petition required 566,857 valid signatures; therefore, the petition has failed to meet the sufficiency requirements and no further action shall be taken on the petition. A summary breakdown of the invalid signatures is as follows:

• Different Address: 32,187
• Mismatch Signature: 9,490
• Canceled: 7,344
• Out of County Address: 5,374
• Other: 9,331
The RR/CC has notified the proponents of these findings. Per California Elections Code § 11301 and Government Code § 6253.5, proponents of the recall petition may examine the petition signatures if desired, provided that such examination must commence no later than 21 days after the certification of insufficiency of the petition.
The mission of the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk is to serve Los Angeles County by providing essential records management and election services in a fair, accessible, and transparent manner. For more information, visit LAVOTE.GOV and follow us on Twitter @LACountyRRCC.

Name: Randy Economy
Occupation: Small Businessowner
Age: 62
(optional)
I have been fighting to make California better my entire life. As an investigative journalist I helped expose the biggest corruption scandal in Los Angeles County history, leading to the criminal indictments of four members of the Assessor office and saved taxpayers millions of dollars.
I stood up
to California Governor Gavin Newsom when I served as the Senior Advisor and
Official Spokesman for the recent recall campaign. I conducted more than 2,500
media interviews exposing his draconian policies while he dined maskless at one
of the most expensive restaurants on the planet.
As your
representative on the Board of Equalization I will continue to put California
first. With hyperinflation and spiking crime rates making California the California dream almost impossible to
achieve, taxpayers deserve and need someone to fight for them.
It stops
now.
I will
support everyday Californians, stand up for our small business, champion our law enforcement and will ensure
that taxpayers always get a fair hearing.
I care
deeply about our state because I was born here and have lived here my entire
life. I am also the grandson of an
amazing proud Greek immigrant who came to America “Live the American Dream.” I
will not let that dream die with our generation.
My life has
been a great training ground up to this point, and now I am ready to make
California’s government more accountable to the people.
Join me, and
YES, this campaign really is about the ECONOMY!

It is sad to have learned about the passing of Catholic Priest Rev. Fr. Adrian M. San Juan today at the young age of 44. I have posted a beautiful homily he conducted at a Diving Mercy Healing Mass back on December 11, 2016.
Fr. Adrian was the Administrator of my previous home Parish of Saint Linus Catholic Church in Norwalk, California. He died suddenly on Saturday afternoon. St. Linus is an amazing church, and Fr. Adrian will be deeply missed by so many near and far.
Since so many of us have been prevented from attending Mass in 2020 because of Covid, I have watch Fr. Adrian conduct mass on Facebook Live and he was always full of Hope, Kindness, Compassion and Love. This is so sad. He had the singing voice of an Angel. What a beautiful Spirit.
I have been a proud member of the LA Press Club for the past decade and journalists have rights in covering news events as they unfold. We have watched "fake" journalists live streaming for months in Portland and Seattle, and while you have a camera and a live stream, it doesn't make you a journalist. So with that being said...here in the statement from the LA PRESS CLUB that was sent out late Sunday night.
"On Saturday night, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputies attacked an innocent person and the Constitution of the United States.
Video recordings leave no room for doubt about the misconduct by the LASD personnel against KPCC/LAist reporter Josie Huang, who was doing her job and documenting protests and arrests in Lynwood, CA.
It’s also deeply concerning how deputies treated evidence during the incident. Video shows them abusing the recording device being used by Huang, which they later left unprotected on the public street. At best, this appears to be extreme negligence in their handling of evidence. At worst, they may have been attempting to destroy evidence and suppress journalistic recordings.
The Los Angeles Press Club strongly condemns these actions and demands that LASD and the deputies involved provide a public apology to the victim. We also demand that LASD ensure that all charges against Huang are dropped. We join AAJA-LA, SPJ/LA, and the Los Angeles journalism community in this stance.
We are also asking LASD to provide assurances about tangible steps the Department will take to prevent anything like this from happening again. That includes an assurance that they will not put out misleading statements as happened in the hours following the incident. We also invite LASD to have a dialogue around the process they use to identify journalists, including what credentialing means in a Constitutionally protected profession. We want to support a healthy, constructive relationship. Both law enforcement and journalists should be held to a high standard, and both should welcome earnest questions and dissent about their roles.
That role of law enforcement is critical in a civilized society. The public expects them to maintain safety, protect people, enforce laws, provide reliable information, and de-escalate dangerous situations. It’s clear that the deputies involved failed all of these basic standards during the incident at St. Francis Medical Center around 11 p.m. on September 12, 2020.
Videos and photos from that night show that officers aggressively arrested Huang while she was recording the arrest of a protester. This alone was a violation of her First Amendment rights as provided by the U.S. Constitution. At no time did she interfere with the arrest. At no time did she take any action that any reasonable person could construe as a threat to the deputies. When deputies approached her, she clearly identified herself as a member of the press, and clearly identified that she was working for a prominent newsgathering operation that is a pillar of the Los Angeles community.
At least five deputies were recorded handcuffing Huang and causing her physical injury, and recordings capture her screaming in pain. This is the second time LASD has been involved in causing physical harm to a reporter from the same outlet who was simply doing their job in a responsible, legal and Constitutionally protected manner.
It is especially tragic that this occurred in the wake of a horrifying attack against LASD deputies just hours earlier. Our hearts go out to the two deputies who were shot while in their car as they did their job and we join the prayers for their recovery. We condemn the actions against these deputies. Violent attacks of all forms are wrong, inexcusable, and have no place in our world

...something happened this past week here in Riverside County that really caught my eye and as far as I can tell, not much media has been brought to this case.
Seven people are dead...brutally killed in what law enforcement officials believe is a illegal drug operation gone bad...like really off the rails bad.
Since the massive fires are burning all over the region and state, not much attention has been paid to this case. The media is already spread thin in their reporting these days.
As an investigative journalist who has covered these type of crimes in the past, this particular case is off the charts in so many ways.
No suspect(s) is/are in custody. Was this a cartel type operation gone bad? Any video cameras on site? Who were the people shot and killed? Where did they live? Why did this drug operation go unnoticed by local officials?
Below are the details from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Sheriff Chad Bianco and his top brass held a presser about the case. Stay tuned. I am going to follow this...
On Monday, September 7, 2020, at 12:33 AM, deputies responded to a residence in the 45000 block of Highway 371 in the unincorporated area of Aguanga, for a report of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Once deputies arrived to begin their investigation, they located a female adult suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics immediately transported the female to a local hospital for medical treatment. Deputies found six additional victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All six victims at the location died as a result of their injuries. Despite life-saving efforts by medical personnel, the female who was transported also died from her injuries. In total, seven victims died as a result of this incident.
Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit and Hemet Station responded and assumed the investigation. Evidence located at the scene indicated the location was being used to manufacture and harvest an illicit marijuana operation. There was over one-thousand pounds of marijuana and several hundred marijuana plants located at the scene.
The area was searched for a suspect; however, the suspect(s) remains outstanding. Investigators are currently working on leads, and the investigation is ongoing. This appears to have been an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the general public.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Central Homicide Investigator Paz at (951) 955-2777.
Here we go again. I am thrilled to publish the names of 15 additional people who have been arrested in Portland, Oregon on Day 102 of rioting in the once beautiful Rose City.
According to the Portland PD, the alleged thugs started a large fire in the street outside of North Precinct, prompting some arrests during a protest Sunday night into Monday morning. It didn't go well after that...
The PPD said in a statement that "On Sunday, September 6, 2020 at about 9 pm, a march began from Alberta Park at 2001 Northeast Killingsworth Street. The march proceeded to Northeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard at Northeast Emerson Street, the location of the North Precinct Community Policing Center."Like millions of other Americans, I have laid in my bed and watched Portland turn into a warzone controlled by thugs each and every night for the past 101 days. I am sleep challenged in 2020. We are all sleep challenged for that matter.
Who needs to watch Real Housewives or reruns of Celebrity Rehab when you can watch the shit show in Portland every night from the safety of internet streaming services. I have been watching live streams from Portland on Periscope and Facebook Live.
Good news...people are actually getting arrested.
These are not peaceful protesters. Their not cocktail drinkers they are Molotov cocktail throwers.
These are violent thugs armed with homemade weapons and explosives...above are photos from the Portland PD of the weapons seized last night...a simple bottle of Joy detergent turned into an explosive device containing gasoline.
Protesters are also dressed up and wearing military flack jackets with the word "Press Member" sprayed on. Newsflash. These are not "journalists," they are thugs playing a role. Just because you have a cell phone and a subscription to a streaming service DOES NOT make you a credentialed member of the media. It makes you a phony fraud. I am THRILLED that TWO of these FAKE JOURNALISTS were ACTUALLY ARRESTED this weekend. About time.
The following are those who were booked in the Multnomah County Detention Center on Saturday night, early Sunday morning (September 5th and 6th, 2020) Remember...those arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Evan Burchfield, 34, of Portland -- Charged with Assaulting a Public Safety Officer, Riot, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, Interfering with a Peace Officer
A Norwalk man has been charged with allegedly casting votes in three elections on behalf of his mother who had passed away, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced yesterday in a statement to members of the media.
Caesar Peter Abutin was charged in case BA488819 with one felony count each of fraud in connection with votes cast and fraudulent voting. He pleaded not guilty today and is scheduled to return for a preliminary hearing setting on October 28 in Department 50 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.
The case was filed for warrant on July 31.
Deputy District Attorney Marian Thompson of the Public Integrity Division is prosecuting the case.
Between October 2012 and November 2014, Abutin is accused of voting in three elections, claiming to be his 67-year-old mother who passed away in July 2006, while also casting votes for himself.
If convicted as charged, the defendant faces up to three years in state prison.
The case was investigated by the District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigation with the assistance of the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Office.

LOS ANGELES – On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) has confirmed five new deaths and 332 new cases of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Five of the six deaths reported yesterday occurred in people over the age of 60, and one death was reported for an individual between 50 – 60 years old. Two of these individuals, including the person between 50-60 years old, did not have any reported underlying health conditions.
Additional information regarding some of the new cases is pending further investigation. Over the last 48 hours, there have been 676 new cases.
To date, Public Health has identified 2136 cases across all areas of LA County, including 37 deaths.
Upon further investigation, one case reported earlier was not a LA County resident.
As of Sunday, oday, 453 people positive for COVID-19 (21% of positive cases) have been hospitalized.
Current Health Officer Orders prohibit any public or private gatherings or events and temporarily close all beaches and hiking trails throughout the entire County.
Only essential business remain open, and individuals are asked to stay home except to obtain essential goods or services. Health Officer Orders will continue through April 19.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to all the families and friends of individuals who have died. I ask that everyone please do your part to not infect others or become infected yourself by adhering to the public health directives and practicing social distancing,” said Barbara Ferrer, PhD, MPH, MEd, Los Angeles County Public Health Director.
“More than ever, it is crucial that we practice social distancing, and if we are sick, even with mild illness, make every effort to self-isolate from others for at least 7 days and 3 more days after being symptom free. Everyone should make plans for how you will manage in case you need to self-isolate or self-quarantine. Those who have been in close contact with a person who is positive for COVID-19 should self-quarantine for 14 days. If we all commit ourselves to stay home, stay away from others when sick, and stay 6 feet apart when out, we will save lives. "
Public Health has issued the following guidance for people with mild illness during this time of increased spread:
If you are mildly sick, stay home for at least seven days and until 72 hours after being fever and symptom free.
Call your doctor if you are concerned and/or your symptoms worsen. Individuals who are elderly, have underlying health conditions or pregnant should consider contacting their providers earlier when they are sick.
Additional things you can do to protect yourself, your family and your community are on the Public Health website, www.publichealth.lacounty.gov.

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) has confirmed one new
death and 71 new cases of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The individual who died was older than 65
with underlying health conditions and resided in Culver City. Because there are positive cases across the entire
County, the public should not think one location is safer than the other, a spokesperson with the County of LA said in a statement on Sunday afternoon.
The county also confirmed that the upscale community of Brentwood has already registered 23 confirmed cases of the virus with West Hollywood the next higest with 19 cases, and growing.th
Beverly Hills has 9 cases confirmed in the 90210 and my hometown of Cerritos now has two confirmed cases.
Additional information regarding
some of the new cases are pending completion of investigations. Over the last 48 hours there have been 132
new cases.
To date, Public Health has identified 409 cases across all areas in LA County including five deaths.
Upon
completion of investigations, 12 cases reported earlier were not LA County residents. As of today, 84 positive
cases have been hospitalized.
Public Health is investigating all new cases and will notify close contacts who are household members,
intimate partners and healthcare professionals to assess and monitor them for signs and symptoms of illness.
All confirmed cases are being isolated and close contacts are quarantined. It is critically important that
everyone adheres to all the social distancing measures and practice good public health hygiene, including
washing hands as frequently as possible.
“We are deeply sorry for the passing of loved ones and send our prayers to the families and friends of those
who have died from COVID-19," said Barbara Ferrer, PhD, MPH, MEd, Los Angeles County Public Health
Director.
“It is critical that everyone practices social distancing, obey the Safer at Home Health Officer Order
and assume that anyone can have COVID-19, and anyone could unintentionally infect others. Please know
that the actions you take today to stay 6 feet away from others and limit all non-essential activities outside
your home are the best way for us to slow the spread of COVID-19 and save lives.”
The cities/communities that have the highest totals are Brentwood at 23 and West Hollywood at 19.
Here is the breakdown by city;

Did you hear the news.
Corrupt California State Assemblyman Chad Mayes has literally told the Republican Party to piss up a rope and tonight he has bolted from the party to join the growing list of voters who do not belong any political party here in California.
Mayes in my Assemblyman.
He is a traitor and cannot be trusted.
He "a pompous self serving politician who has burned every bridge possible in Sacramento ever since he arrived in the lower house for his own self interest. He betrayed his wife by having an extra-martial affair with another GOP Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen. How did that work out? ....and worked with Governor Jerry Brown to raise our gas taxes and on and on and on.
The California Republican Board of Directors unanimously
rescinded their endorsement of Mays (sic). Chad Mayes has let the Republican Party down just as he has let down the
voters of California."
Someone inside the California Republican Party should have seen this coming. I don't need to get into every detail on the past voting record of Mayes...however....someone needs to run against this CLOWN and they have exactly 30 hours to file against him....
