The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus will be launched midnight tonight (early 27th of September) in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar.
It will be available at select branches of STC, Mobily, Zain, iStyle and Jarir.

Today Apple started selling the iPad mini 2 (with retina display) on their online stores.
Apple also started selling the iPad Air as well as the iPad mini in the United Arab Emirates Online Store (Thanks Sharbeen). These models obviously will not offer FaceTime. Estimated delivery for the iPad Air: 5-7 days, the iPad mini Retina Display: 5-10 days.

iPad Air Wi-Fi: 16GB AED 1,899 – 32GB AED 2,299 – 64GB AED 2,699 – 128GB AED 3,099.
iPad Air Wi-Fi + Celluar: 16GB AED 2,399 – 32GB AED 2,799 – 64GB AED 3,199 – 128GB AED 3,599.
iPad mini Retina Display Wi-Fi: 16GB AED 1,499 – 32GB AED 1,899 – 64GB AED 2,299 – 128GB AED 2,699.

STC, Mobily and Zain all announced that they will start selling the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in Saudi Arabia at exactly midnight of Sunday 3rd of November.
Initial Pricing according to Mobily:
iPhone 5s 16GB 2799 sr, iPhone 5s 32GB 3199 sr and iPhone 5s 64GB 3649 sr.

Apple will be holding a special event tonight at 8 pm Saudi time. Apple will most likely announce new iPads, OS X Mavericks and the new Mac Pro. The event will be streamed on Apple TVs and on Apple’s homepage.

Official Saudi, Bahrain, UAE iPhone 5s and 5c launch date: November 1 9 Oct 2013 5:12 AM (11 years ago)
Apple has announced that the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c will be available in 35 countries on October 25 and in 16 countries on November 1.
The countries are listed in Apple’s press release and it will be available in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE on November 1, not the 4th as we reported yesterday.

iPhone 5s/5c Expected to Launch in Saudi Arabia November 1st (updated) 8 Oct 2013 8:30 AM (11 years ago)
Apple has announced official launch date: Friday November 1st.
Looks like the iPhone 5s (and iPhone 5c) has a launch date in Saudi Arabia and it’s the 4th of November according to this tweet by Faisal AlSaber, a VP at STC.
The date is also the first day of a new Hijri year (1st of Muharram 1435). STC, Mobily and Zain should all start selling the new iPhone on the same day.
Prices of the iPhone 5s are expected to be similar to the previous generation as expected with iPhones. LTE 4G support (Band 3 1800mhz) should be available obviously. FaceTime is disabled in iPhones dedicated to Saudi Arabia and UAE as usual.

STC Finally Enables Personal Hotspot on the iPad 11 May 2013 1:23 AM (12 years ago)
STC has released a carrier update that finally enables the personal hotspot function on the iPad (third and fourth gen) and iPad mini. iPads with an STC data SIM had the personal hotspot feature disabled unlike Zain and Mobily.
Personal Hotspot enables you to share an Internet connection with other devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB.

Umm Al-Qura newspaper, a newspaper mainly used to publish trademark registration announcements, posted an announcement by the ministry of commerce and industry regarding the registration of the “APPLE” trademark in Saudi Arabia. [Thanks Bander.]
That’s good news and soon we will finally have an official Apple service center and online Apple Store in Saudi Arabia.

How to Enable iPhone and iPad 4G LTE with Zain, Mobily and STC 30 Jan 2013 12:45 AM (12 years ago)
Apple recently released iOS 6.1 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. One of the features of this update is enabling 4G LTE in many countries including Saudi Arabia.
Here is how to enable LTE on your device. Share your experience in the comments.
Supported Devices
You will need a device that supports LTE Band 3 (1800Mhz). The supported devices are:
• iPhone 5 with model A1429
• iPad mini with model A1455
• iPad with retina (iPad 4th gen) with model A1460
Zain
Send 4G as an SMS to 959 to enable 4G on both prepaid and billed SIM cards. Speed 4G data SIMs should work.
On iPhone: settings then general then cellular then set enable lte to on.
On iPad: settings then cellular data then set enable lte to on.
Mobily
You must go to Mobily and issue a new SIM card that supports 4G.
STC
STC hinted that their 1800Mhz LTE network will launch after 2 weeks. But for now you can “activate” LTE by sending 4466 to 902.

Apple has released iOS 6.1 yeterday for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The iPad mainly enables LTE on many networks including Zain and Mobily in Saudi Arabia.

This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
• LTE support for more carriers (complete list of supported carriers at www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/)
• Purchase movie tickets through Fandango with Siri (USA only)
• iTunes Match subscribers can now download individual songs from iCloud
• New button to reset the Advertising Identifier

4G LTE in Saudi Arabia will only work on specific models of the iPhone 5, iPad mini and iPad 4 (with LTE band 3 support).
