Hello,
This is a mini slimline card I made using Perfect Blend from Gina K Designs. I am so enjoying making these slimline cards. It really surprised me that I enjoy it so much because I don't like making a full size slimline card. I am very happy I gave this style a try. Supplies are all Gina K Designs and are listed below.

Hello,
Today I have a card i made last weekend using Playful Penguins and Star Struck from the
Joyful Holiday kit from Gina K Designs. This is a technique Gina shared recently in a
5 minute card video and I love how it looked so I gave my try at it and am so happy how it turned out. I didn't use a negative die cut for this one and only masked off the areas in white then I embossed the star fall image in white and then ink blended in the center. These dang penguins are so fun.

Hello,
Today I have a card I made for the monthly challenge for Gina K Designs. This month the challenge is to make your background by ink smooshing in fall colors. I smooshed the background then I added a little liquid pixie dust to give it some shimmer. To carry on with the shimmer I added glitter gel pen to accent the butterfly. All other products used are Gina K Designs.

Hello,
Well I am starting on Fall and Halloween cards. I love this time of year, it is my favorite for card making.
This one is for the
September challenge at Gina K Designs. The challenge is to make a background using ink cubes. Gina did a great video on how to make a 5 minute card. For my card I made another mini slim line card, they are so fun to make. I used Best Witches stamp and die set. Wild lilac and slate inks. The hat is colored using copic markers. The sentiment and layers were cut out using master layouts #7. All supplies used are Gina K Designs.

Hello, today I have my first mini slimline (3 1/4 x 6 1/2) to share. This one is for the
August Monthly Challenge at Gina K Designs. The challenge is to use multiple sentiment strips. One of my first idea for a card using Woodland Friends was to make a nighttime card. I started by cutting out a piece of GKD white layering weight card stock using master layouts #7. To make the sky I used blending brushes leaving the center the lightest with the following colors in this order: powder blue, blue raspberry, blue denim, in the navy. Then I stamped some white pigment ink on my glass mat and spritzed some water on it. Next using a small paint brush I sprinkled the stars in the sky. For the moon I cut out a the smallest circle from master layouts #7. To create the craters on the moon I heated up a piece of Simon Hurleys stamping foam and pressed it against the texture on my wall. After inking up the foam with moonlit fog I stamped off 3 times on some scrap paper before stamping on the moon with a light hand. The scene is created using master layouts #6 and the owl was colored using prisma pencils and gamsol. Then sentiment flags are cut using master layouts #4. All products used are Gina K Designs except the stamping foam and prisma pencils/gamsol.

Hello again,
Another card I made. This one is for a challenge on Gina K Designs & StampTV Friends group on Facebook. Each week Karen Day Hightower has an inspiration challenge and I do love inspiration challenges. For this one I used the new Mandala Maker 2 and It's All About You stamp sets. This was so fun to make and I am looking forward to making many more mandala cards. The ink colors are powder blue, blue denim, in the navy, faded brick and sweet corn. I finished off with a few rhinestones.

Christmas In July
28 Jul 2021 10:02 AM (3 years ago)

Hello,
Today I have a card I made for Gina K Designs monthly challenge. This month the challenge is Christmas in July. Well you can never start to early on the getting Christmas cards made. For my card I used Sparkle and Shine. I decided to give a non traditional color scheme a try, and I have to say I really pleased with how it came out. I embossed the tree in white and then with blending brushes I added turquoise sea to highlight the tree. The sentiment is popped up with foam tape and I added some Angel Aura rhinestones. The panels and sentiment were cut out using master layouts #2 and #4. All of the products used are from Gina K Designs.

I made this for the monthly
challenge at Gina K Designs. The June challenge is to make a background. I decided to break out my alcohol inks and make this background for a birthday card. I also used the ink to color Clear Dew Drops, sentiment stamps are from Lace Flowers and the stitched layer was cut using Master Layouts 2 all from Gina K Designs.
Enjoy,
Brenda

Hello,
Today I have a card I made using
Gina K Designs stencil bundle Bold Flowers. This a bit out of my comfort zone for colors. I normally don't make blue flowers, but I am loving how this came out. I used snowfall stencil for the background.

Hello,
Today I have a card I made for
Make a Card Challenge. They have a sketch challenge this week and it was helpful to get me back in my room to play. I used Ruffled Flowers and Bold Flowers stencil bundles from

Happy Easter
21 Mar 2021 1:58 PM (4 years ago)
Hello and happy Spring. I am in California and we are starting to see the signs of Spring everything is starting to bloom. Unfortunately we very much need more rain. At any rate I am enjoying the sun while hoping for some more rain before the heat cranks on.
Today I have an Easter card I made for this months challenge at Gina K Designs. The challenge this month is to create a masked blended sunrise. This is my take on it. I started with masking off a 1/4 inch boarder and blended from the bottom. Lucky Clover, Applemint, Lemon Drop, Sweet Mango, and Coral Reef. After removing the tape I stamped the daffodils and sentiment from Easter Blessings. I finished up with cutting my layers with Master Layouts 1. All products are from Gina K Designs.
Thank you for stopping by and be safe,
Brenda
Hello,
I wanted to try making a one layer card that still had the look of a layered card. The top panel is inset into the bottom layer which is the negative form the die cut. It still needed a back though for support.
I used Gina K Designs Flower Child, A Little Love bundle, and master layouts 3 and 4.
Thank you for stopping by and stay safe,

Hello and Happy Saturday!! I have a card I made for the
Love is in the Air at Gina K Designs. This card was made with A Little Love bundle from Gina K Designs. I also used Master Layouts 3 and 4. I am enjoying this bundle so much. I will also be entering this into Simon Says Stamps challenge to use your

I played a little today and whipped up this card using Gina K Designs Better Together stamp set and some ink blending. I love this color combo, it is so peaceful. I also used Master Layouts 2 and 4. These dies sets are the bomb and make layering card panels so easy.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope all is well with you. I have a couple of gift bags I made for my son and DIL. They love extra dark chocolate (as do I) so I wanted to give them a little treat for tomorrow. I made these bags and filled them with their favorite chocolates.
I used the bag gift bag folding board from We Are Memory Makers for the bag it self. The heart and love dies are cut using Gina K Designs Master Layouts 4 The stamped heart is also Gina K Designs from A Little Love set. A few weeks ago Gina did a video using smalls strips of paper to make the background in a die cut image and she mentioned you could also use washi tape. Well I am embarrassed to admit I have a bit more than a small amount of washi tape that I almost never use. Today was the time to pull it out. I really enjoyed using it this way.
I hope you all have a wonderful and special day.
Stay safe my friends and thank you for stopping by,
Brenda
