Get Lost Project Safari Lotus Elise 17 Apr 8:10 AM (yesterday, 8:10 am)

Get Lost Project Safari Lotus Elise

Photographer-turned-builder George Williams has just rewritten the rulebook on safari-style builds, and he’s done it with the last car you’d expect. Meet the Get Lost Project Safari Lotus Elise – a vehicle so wildly out of step with convention that it circles right back into brilliance. Known for capturing cars with his lens, Williams has now turned his attention to reimagining them, and the result is an absurdly charming off-road take on the famously nimble Elise S1.

Get Lost Project Safari Lotus Elise

The original Lotus Elise is a featherweight, low-slung corner carver designed for tight tarmac and maximum driver feedback. Turning that into a dirt-flinging adventurer feels like heresy on paper – but Williams leans into the chaos with purpose. His Get Lost build lifts the Elise by 100mm, fits it with oversized fender flares, rally-style wheels wrapped in chunky all-terrain tires, and swaps out the soft curves of the original headlights for sharp, rectangular LED units. Add a row of yellow spotlights on the bumper, and it starts looking less like a track toy and more like something ready to chase zebras.

Get Lost Project Safari Lotus Elise

But this isn’t just a garage-born cosplay. The Get Lost team engineered a fully custom suspension setup that keeps the Elise’s signature responsiveness while unlocking real off-road ability. The underbody is reinforced and treated with Cerakote to handle gravel and rocks, and a limited-slip differential plus hydraulic handbrake turn every trail into a playground. That dramatic roof scoop isn’t just for looks, either – it feeds air into the reworked engine bay through twin ducts. Details about the engine are scarce, though it’s clear the famously unreliable Rover K-Series engine has been shown the door in favor of something stronger and more dependable.

Get Lost Project Safari Lotus Elise

Look past the lifted stance and knobby tires, and the thoughtfulness of the design starts to shine. A spare tire sits high on the rear deck, integrated seamlessly with a floating wing that wouldn’t look out of place in a WRC paddock. Inside, the Elise’s famously cramped cabin has been reworked with new seats finished in a classy mix of leather and tweed – offering a bit of refinement, along with actual comfort for taller drivers.

Get Lost Project Safari Lotus Elise

The whole build radiates joy. It’s not polished in a show-car way, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s a celebration of going off-script. George Williams built this car for the kind of people who value story over spec sheets, dirt over dyno numbers. As he puts it, “This car invites you to make bad decisions in beautiful places.” Honestly, it’s hard to think of a better mission statement.

Get Lost Project Safari Lotus Elise

Customer builds for the Get Lost Safari Elise are set to begin later in 2025, with pricing still under wraps. For now, the team is collecting letters of interest from those bold enough to want one. Will it be expensive? Absolutely. Will it make sense? Absolutely not. And that’s exactly why it’s so irresistible.

Giorgetti x Maserati Furniture Collection 16 Apr 11:06 AM (2 days ago)

Giorgetti x Maserati Furniture Collection

At the 2025 Milan Design Week, two of Italy’s most iconic names – Giorgetti and Maserati – joined forces to unveil a bold creative collaboration that bridges the gap between automotive innovation and artisanal furniture design. The result is an exclusive collection that captures the spirit of Italian luxury through objects that blur the boundaries between sculptural design and mechanical performance.

Giorgetti x Maserati Furniture Collection

The Giorgetti x Maserati Furniture Collection draws inspiration from the mythical world of nymphs and the sleek, aerodynamic forms of Maserati’s high-performance cars. Each piece in the collection reflects a careful balance between fluid movement and geometric precision, telling a story rooted in both mythology and modern engineering. The Lorelei armchair and sofa, for example, take their name from the mythological siren and translate her allure into soft, enveloping curves and bold, sculptural lines. These pieces offer options that highlight both materials and craftsmanship, including versions fully upholstered in soft leather, or those with elegant wooden inlays that echo the fine detailing found in Maserati interiors.

Giorgetti x Maserati Furniture Collection

Adding contrast and rhythm to the collection are the Ligea coffee tables, whose asymmetrical forms reinterpret the functional elegance of air intakes. Their dynamic shapes, balanced by the tactile warmth of fine woods and glossy finishes, bring a subtle nod to automotive design without compromising their role as statement pieces within a living space. The Teti pouf and storage unit further expand this narrative. Inspired by the shapeshifting sea goddess, the Teti blends organic softness with structural depth. It’s offered in two forms: a soft pouf with a refined base that mirrors Maserati’s signature exhaust system, and a storage version that combines functionality with visual intrigue through a glass-topped vessel that seems to float.

Giorgetti x Maserati Furniture Collection

This collaboration isn’t limited to interior pieces. To complement the furniture, Maserati developed a one-off version of its all-electric Grecale Folgore. Dubbed the Maserati Giorgetti Edition, the vehicle extends the same aesthetic values into the automotive realm. The exterior boasts a unique Gleaming Dusk paint finish, a moody and reflective hue designed to shift with light and movement. Copper accents highlight the brake calipers and trident badging, creating a subtle interplay between color and material that mirrors the detailing in Giorgetti’s creations. Inside, the synergy continues. The seats are wrapped in Giorgetti’s custom four-thread woolly fabric, bringing warmth and texture to the cabin. The headrests are adorned with Trident logos made from grey-blue wood inserts – an unexpected detail that feels more like high-end furniture than automotive trim. Even the door sills have been personalized with laser-etched poetry, turning an everyday touchpoint into a moment of surprise and reflection.

Giorgetti x Maserati Furniture Collection

What makes this collaboration resonate beyond design circles is the shared philosophy behind it. Both Giorgetti and Maserati have long histories rooted in Italian excellence, but neither has been afraid to experiment with new forms, materials, and ideas. This project isn’t just about limited editions or surface-level branding. It’s a thoughtful exercise in cross-disciplinary storytelling, where the emotional language of furniture design is translated into the aerodynamic grammar of a luxury vehicle, and vice versa.

The Giorgetti x Maserati collaboration represents a vision of luxury that is both grounded in heritage and open to interpretation. It invites users to not only admire the forms and finishes but to inhabit them, whether through the tactile comfort of an armchair or the precision feel of a steering wheel. This is design as dialogue – between disciplines, between brands, and ultimately, between the object and the person who lives with it.

Aston Martin x Bowmore ARC-54 Whisky 14 Apr 9:25 AM (4 days ago)

Aston Martin x Bowmore ARC-54 Whisky

Bowmore and Aston Martin have once again joined forces to release what may be their most impressive collaboration to date. The ARC-54, the final chapter in their acclaimed ARC series, is a 54-year-old single malt that balances heritage, precision, and design in extraordinary fashion. Distilled in November 1968, the whisky spent decades maturing in a mix of 2nd Fill European Oak Sherry Butt and 3rd Fill American Oak Hogshead. After more than half a century of aging, Bowmore brought these two elements together in a final 15-month unification – 61.8% from European oak, 38.2% from American – a composition inspired by the Golden Ratio.

Aston Martin x Bowmore ARC-54 Whisky

The result is a whisky that is as much about artistry as it is about rarity. The nose offers layers of sweet vanilla, buttery shortbread, and soft butterscotch, deepening into notes of tropical mango, peach, and orange zest. Toasted oak, candied walnuts, and a hint of eucalyptus mint follow. On the palate, there’s a rich wave of green apple, bergamot orange, lime juice, salted caramel, spiced ginger, cinnamon, and the unmistakable touch of Islay peat smoke. Bottled at 44.3% ABV, it’s a complex and refined profile that speaks to decades of craftsmanship.

Aston Martin x Bowmore ARC-54 Whisky

But it’s not just the liquid that turns heads. The ARC-54 arrives in a handblown glass decanter shaped with the curves and motion of Aston Martin’s Valkyrie hypercar. The design aims to look dynamic even when standing still, echoing the sleek aerodynamics of the automotive icon. With only 130 bottles available globally – up slightly from the 100 of the ARC-52 – it remains a highly limited edition. Retailing at £71,000 (around $91,000), this is a whisky for collectors, connoisseurs, and admirers of both design and distillation.

Aston Martin x Bowmore ARC-54 Whisky

Though it’s not technically Bowmore’s oldest release (a one-off 55-year bottle auctioned for over half a million dollars holds that title), the ARC-54 represents a high point in their collaborative journey with Aston Martin. It’s a toast to legacy and innovation, bottled with purpose and presented with unmistakable style. And don’t forget to check the most expensive whisky in the world.

British Corvette Concept Blends Heritage and Hypercar Style 10 Apr 7:20 AM (8 days ago)

British Corvette Concept Blends Heritage and Hypercar Style

GM just pulled the covers off a British-designed Corvette concept that looks like it was smuggled out of the future. Built at the automaker’s brand-new design hub in Royal Leamington Spa, this mid-engine, electric-leaning concept reimagines the Corvette not through American muscle, but through a distinctly European design lens. The result? Gullwing doors, split windshields, and bodywork so sculpted it could pass for a limited-run hypercar.

British Corvette Concept Blends Heritage and Hypercar Style

Led by Julian Thomson – best known for his work on the Lotus Elise, Range Rover Evoque, and several Jaguars – the design team had free rein to rethink what a Corvette could be. GM calls this a “blank page” project, not a prelude to a production model. But make no mistake: elements here are likely to echo in the next-gen C9 due later this decade.

British Corvette Concept Blends Heritage and Hypercar Style

At first glance, the most dramatic feature is the central spine that slices through the front windshield and stretches all the way to the tail. It’s a modern twist on the 1963 Sting Ray’s split rear glass, and it’s not just for show. This “Apex Vision” design element adds structural stiffness and, surprisingly, improves forward visibility with its panoramic wraparound glass.

British Corvette Concept Blends Heritage and Hypercar Style

The body itself is split in attitude: the top half plays tribute to Corvette heritage with curves and fenders nodding to the Mako Shark concept, while the bottom half is a sculpted aerodynamic playground. Air channels snake through the sides, eliminating the need for wings at lower speeds. But when performance is the priority, the car can deploy dynamic fins and shift its aero profile to maximize grip – similar to how modern hypercars like the Koenigsegg Jesko adapt on the fly.

British Corvette Concept Blends Heritage and Hypercar Style

Open the dramatic gullwing doors and things get even more futuristic. The seats appear molded directly into the structure, the steering is a rectangular yoke, and the center spine may even serve as a display interface. It’s minimalist, functional, and undeniably spaceship-esque.

The concept’s footprint leans fully into exotic territory. At just over 40 inches tall and nearly 86 inches wide, it sits lower and broader than the C8. Its ride height and seat position are aggressively low – think track-only race car low. That’s made possible by a structural EV battery design integrated into the chassis, rather than mounted on top of it.

British Corvette Concept Blends Heritage and Hypercar Style

Performance tech doesn’t stop there. There’s a race car-style pushrod suspension to keep the hood line razor-thin, plus massive 22- and 23-inch wheels. But the wildest touch might be the fan-based aero assist, drawing inspiration from Formula 1’s outlawed ground-effect systems and the modern Gordon Murray T.50. The goal: vacuum-sealed grip for serious cornering.

The entire body structure is 3D printed – or “additive manufactured” – to allow more complex, lightweight designs. That means fewer parts, more rigidity, and shapes you couldn’t make with conventional tooling. The full-glass doors integrate seamlessly with the Apex Vision spine for uninterrupted visibility without compromising strength.

British Corvette Concept Blends Heritage and Hypercar Style

This concept is just the first in a series of three global Corvette design studies GM is rolling out in 2025. Another is rumored to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this July, and a separate GMC concept is also in the pipeline, promising a chunky, angular design with dramatic lighting.

This UK-built Corvette won’t be hitting the road, but it’s more than just a design exercise. It’s a statement – about where the Corvette brand might go, how GM sees the electric future of performance, and what happens when you let a British team reimagine an American legend.

Bremont Terra Nova Jumping Hour Bronze Watch 9 Apr 6:18 AM (9 days ago)

Bremont Terra Nova Jumping Hour Bronze Watch

The Bremont Terra Nova Jumping Hour Bronze is one of those watches that quietly grabs your attention – and keeps it. Inspired by early 20th-century trench watches, it brings together old-school military style with some very modern mechanical know-how. It’s got a compact 38mm cushion-shaped case made from vertically brushed cupro-aluminium bronze, which not only feels solid on the wrist but also develops a patina over time. That means the more you wear it, the more it becomes uniquely yours.

Bremont Terra Nova Jumping Hour Bronze Watch

What really sets this watch apart is the jumping hour complication. Instead of traditional hands, it shows the time through small windows on the dial – a style known as “montre à guichet.” The hours jump forward at the top of each hour, while the minutes and seconds tick along in their own little windows. There’s also a compass-style sweeping seconds hand layered over a Wayfinder logo in the center, which ties in nicely with the watch’s outdoorsy, exploration vibe.

Inside, it runs on the BC634 movement, developed in collaboration with Sellita. It’s automatic, ticks at a smooth 28,800 vibrations per hour, and gives you a generous 56-hour power reserve. In short, it’s built to last and keeps excellent time.

Bremont Terra Nova Jumping Hour Bronze Watch

You can get it with either a brushed bronze bracelet that matches the case or a vintage-style tan leather strap if you’re going for something a bit more classic. Both options look great and feel high-quality, so it really comes down to personal preference.

Bremont Terra Nova Jumping Hour Bronze Watch

Only 100 of these watches are being made, so if you’re thinking about getting one, it’s not something to put off. It’s a piece with character, precision, and a story to tell – whether you’re wearing it out in the field or just admiring it over coffee. Also be sure to check our list of the best gold watches for men.

High Fashion Takes Off with $60,000 Louis Vuitton Bag 8 Apr 6:08 AM (10 days ago)

High Fashion Takes Off with $60,000 Louis Vuitton Bag

It’s not every day a handbag looks like it’s ready for takeoff, but the Louis Vuitton Airplane Bag by Virgil Abloh was never meant to blend in. First seen on the runway during the Fall/Winter 2021 menswear show, this piece is one of the most audacious and unforgettable designs from Abloh’s time at Louis Vuitton. Shaped exactly like a jet – cockpit windows, tail, engines, and all – it’s a physical representation of the brand’s century-long association with travel, turned into a literal and surreal accessory. Crafted in LV’s signature Ebene Monogram coated canvas and finished with silver-tone hardware, the bag is lined in black textile and comes with practical additions like a shoulder strap, handle connector, luggage tag, and its original dust bag.

High Fashion Takes Off with $60,000 Louis Vuitton Bag

Back when it first appeared, the $39,000 price tag shocked more than a few people online. Social media lit up with reactions, jokes, and disbelief. Someone even compared it to buying an actual vintage aircraft. Despite the online roasting, the bag had its fans – including Chris Brown, who once claimed he owned the only one in the United States. But beyond the memes and hot takes, this bag marked a moment. It was part of Abloh’s ongoing commentary on luxury, design, and meaning, bringing his “tourist vs. purist” philosophy into the spotlight again.

High Fashion Takes Off with $60,000 Louis Vuitton Bag

Fast forward to today, and the same bag has resurfaced at Sotheby’s with a new price: $60,000. The condition is near-mint, the shape still bold, and the timing – now that Abloh is gone – makes it feel even more like a collector’s item. Whether you see it as art, irony, or simply high fashion doing its most outrageous trick, there’s no denying this airplane bag is a time capsule from one of the most influential creative minds in fashion. And don’t forget to check Louis Vuitton’s Easter Chocolate Collection.

Panerai Jupiterium Planetarium Clock 4 Apr 6:09 AM (14 days ago)

Panerai Jupiterium Planetarium Clock

In 1610, Galileo Galilei pointed a rudimentary telescope toward the night sky and discovered four moons orbiting Jupiter, defying the long-accepted belief that everything revolved around Earth. This monumental observation reshaped our understanding of the cosmos. Honoring this legacy, Panerai has created the Jupiterium, a planetarium clock that merges Galileo’s astronomical breakthrough with the brand’s mastery of fine mechanics.

Panerai Jupiterium Planetarium Clock

At the center of this intricate display sits Earth, surrounded by the celestial bodies Galileo studied – Jupiter, its four largest moons, the Moon, and the Sun – all revolving around it in a re-creation of Galileo’s geocentric perspective. The mechanism is housed in a transparent sphere adorned with zodiac constellations painted in Super-LumiNova, which rotates once every 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 4 seconds to match a sidereal day. Inside, a patented system drives real-time orbits and even captures the rare retrograde motion of planets like Jupiter, simulating the optical illusion of a planet moving backward in the sky.

Panerai Jupiterium Planetarium Clock

The mechanical core powering this movement is a manually wound perpetual calendar that will remain accurate until the year 2099 and is capable of continuing until the year 9,999 with occasional maintenance. The movement consists of eight barrels, each with a four-meter-long spring, allowing for an impressive 40-day power reserve. The retrograde function, one of the rarest complications in horology, is handled through a complex set of gears and counterweights, allowing Jupiter and its moons to appear to move backward and forward just as they do in the sky when Earth overtakes them in orbit.

Panerai Jupiterium Planetarium Clock

Built with 1,650 components, primarily crafted from titanium for strength and weight efficiency, the Jupiterium is housed in a glass box resting on a mahogany base, measuring 75 by 86 cm and weighing around 110 kg. Its dial, set below the celestial display, features Super-LumiNova-coated hour markers, Arabic numerals, and hands, along with a linear perpetual calendar and a 40-day power reserve indicator marked ‘40 giorni’. The dial and rehaut are engraved with ‘Jupiterium’ and ‘Calendario Perpetuo’ in Italian, tying together the astronomical and horological roots of this creation.

Panerai Jupiterium Planetarium Clock

Italy appears prominently on the miniature Earth inside the sphere, placed to face the observer and pay tribute to Galileo’s heritage and Panerai’s own Italian roots. This thoughtful detail reinforces the connection between past discoveries and present-day innovation. Presented at Watches and Wonders 2025, the Jupiterium stands as a tribute to human curiosity and craftsmanship – a fusion of astronomy, mechanics, and design that invites the viewer to reflect on our place in the universe.

Jetson One eVTOL Aircraft 3 Apr 6:11 AM (15 days ago)

Jetson One eVTOL Aircraft

Swedish startup Jetson is turning science fiction into something much more real with the Jetson One, a personal eVTOL aircraft that weighs just over 250 pounds including its batteries. Built with an aluminum space frame and carbon fiber body panels, it uses eight rotors mounted on four arms to lift a single passenger. The Jetson One is fully electric, delivering a peak power of 88kW and a top speed of 63 mph. Flight time averages around 20 minutes, making it practical for short commutes or recreational use. It can ascend at 25 feet per second, and most flights are expected to stay between 15 and 30 feet off the ground – just enough for that “landspeeder” feeling from Return of the Jedi , which the creators are openly channeling.

Jetson One eVTOL Aircraft

One of its standout features is simplicity. You don’t need a pilot’s license to operate it in the US, as it qualifies as an ultralight aircraft. That means no flying at night, over cities, or near airports – but aside from these restrictions, it’s good to go. Controls are beginner-friendly, allowing new users to get airborne within minutes. Safety is built into the DNA of the craft with a triple-redundant flight computer that will either hover or land if the controls are let go, lidar for obstacle avoidance, a rapid-deployment ballistic parachute, and a design that includes structural crumple zones. Even in case of motor failure, the aircraft can stay airborne.

Jetson One eVTOL Aircraft

Priced at $92,000, the Jetson One is sold as a kit that doesn’t require much effort to assemble. Once complete, it becomes a roughly 190-pound craft with an upper weight limit of 210 pounds. It’s already proving to be in high demand – early production runs for 2025 and 2026 are sold out, with the company now accepting orders for 2027. Jetson built just 12 units in 2022 and plans to at least double production annually. With such limited supply, they’re being selective with buyers, hoping to place units in the hands of experienced and influential enthusiasts who can help showcase the product to the world.

2026 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante 31 Mar 8:02 AM (18 days ago)

2026 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante

Aston Martin is taking open-top performance to a new level with the 2026 Vanquish Volante. It’s not just a convertible version of the coupe – it’s a statement. With a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 under the hood, the Volante delivers a staggering 824 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful front-engine production convertible in the world. All that power goes to the rear wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox, propelling the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 214 mph. That’s identical to the hardtop, despite the Volante carrying an additional 209 pounds – something Aston Martin calls a minimal increase, given the reinforced chassis and added luxury of open-air driving.

2026 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante

The K-fold fabric roof opens in 14 seconds and closes in 16, operable while driving at speeds of up to 31 mph or remotely from the key fob. This means you can go from coupe-like comfort to convertible freedom without missing a beat. The ride remains precise thanks to reworked Bilstein DTX dampers tailored to the Volante’s dynamics, and stopping power comes from carbon ceramic brakes – six-piston in the front, four-piston in the rear. It all sits on Pirelli P Zero 21-inch tires, shared with the coupe. Inside, you’ll find the same dual 10.25-inch digital displays and driver-focused layout, with the only addition being the roof control button. While the sound insulation is excellent, the titanium exhaust begs you to leave the roof down and enjoy the symphony.

2026 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante

CEO Adrian Hallmark calls the Volante a new peak in Aston Martin’s 60-year legacy of open-top motoring. Production kicks off in the third quarter of 2025, and with fewer than 1,000 units to be built annually, exclusivity is guaranteed. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s expected to start above the $434,000 coupe – likely around the half-million mark. Also be sure to check the most expensive cars in the world.
