Summer traveling starts for our family in a couple weeks and we will be going to Florida, New York and everywhere in between. It's always a legitimate puzzle, getting everything into the car with little ones! I wanted a stroller for travel that folds easily and into a smaller size than my regular stroller, but didn't want to give up the features I love. The Quinny Zapp Flex is so perfect for all of our needs!
On Lincoln: Tank | Shorts | Shoes
My babies always fall asleep in the stroller, so the recline feature is super important for me! I love that this Quinny Zapp Flex folds up easily (it's marked where to push first!) has a reversible seat, reclines for good baby napping and has a large canopy. The cross bar between the handles is perfect for Lincolns little DVD player to hang on with diaper bag straps and this case. It's quite the perfect setup for my 30lb, nearly 2 year old!
Now let's get this travel started! Where are you jetting off to this summer?
This has quickly become one of my go-to summer dishes. I love bringing it to parties, because it's so pretty and delicious!
Recipe:
1 Pineapple
1 purple onion, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
3 Tbsp Lime Juice
1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped
1 tsp Salt
Directions:
Cut pineapple in half lengthwise, being careful to not cut off the top. Using a knife, cut lentghwise along the sides of the core, without cutting through the skin. Cut cross sections in the pineapple skin, still not cutting through the skin. Using a spoon, scoop out the pineapple and place in a separate bowl. You should get chunks from the lines you cut and will only have to dice it up a bit smaller. After removing all the pineapple, cut the core out with a knife. Repeat with other half.
Add remaining ingredients to bowl of pineapple and mix well. Place pineapple bowls on a platter and fill with salsa. Serve with tortilla chips or over grilled fish.
If you look close enough, you can see that those pineapples are happily sitting on Santa's sleigh tray. I brought this to a party and managed to leave my dish, so until I figure out what neighbor of mine has it, Christmas in the summer it is!
Happy first day of Summer! We've had summer warmth for several weeks now and I absolutely love it! I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite beauty picks for the summertime. I'm not a fancy beauty/makeup kinda gal and love me some drugstore finds. I'm not a pro, but these are things I absolutely love and use all the time.
Elf Lip Lacquer - I wear this stuff every single day. I have the color natural and it's the perfect glossy nude.
Banana Boat Self Tanning Spray - I actually use this all year round and less in the summer, but it's the perfect way to get a little color before you thrown on that bikini. I spray it on, rub it in, then let it sit a few minutes before I put pjs on. The next morning, I have a light, natural looking tan. I seriously have never had any orange color from it.
Coola Mineral Liplux - This is new to me, but I am loving it for days on the lake or at the pool. I had a horrible sun blister when I was pregnant with Lincoln and I never go outside without SPF on my lips. This one is great because it has minerals in it, it exfoliates a bit and has a light tint. The color I have is Skinny Dip and it's a light nude.
No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Serum - I found a sample of this in my drawer from an Ulta order. I had just run out of my normal cream and thought I'd try it to hold me over. The little sample lasted 3 days and I was totally hooked. I have dry skin and this serum really moisturizes without clogging my pores.
Cellulite Massager - Don't y'all laugh at me about this, but I think this sucker is actually working. I've been using it for 1 week after seeing another blogger recommend it and while I've gotten some bruising, I can see a smoother appearance. Apparently the bruising goes away. The best way to treat cellulite is diet, but sometimes we can't all be perfect! I'm combining this with diet and exercise to hopefully get my legs back to how they were last summer after Whole30. Maybe I should just Whole30 again!
Maybelline Master Strobing Stick - Looking for that dewey AF look? Yeah, this is it. A little on your cheekbones and down your nose will give you the appearance of just leaving the beach. I don't notice it as much when I don't have a tan, but when I have a little color, I will often just add a swipe of this and call it a day.
I did see that Target has a $5 gift card offer when you spend $20 on beauty products and it works online! Whoop! Most of these products can be bought there, which is a total plus for me. And 5% when you use your RedCard. And no this post isn't sponsored by Target, or anyone else for that matter. Just love what I love and want to tell y'all about it!
We've spent a lot of time at the pool already on summer break and the beach is in our summer travels. One things for sure, I need a suit that will stay put! I've found a few that I love, that give a little more support/coverage for us baby chasing this year!
One Piece
Two Piece Suits

Lord & Taylor is having their friends and family sale right now and I linked several piece from there! You can take 30% off almost everything with code FRIENDS. We're off to the pool. Hehe. Have a great Wednesday!
Hello, Summer.
13 Jun 2017 9:41 AM (7 years ago)

Happy Summer! I'm way excited that my sweet boys are done with school and the calendar is finally looking less filled. One thing I really can't believe, is how much these kids grew in a single school year!
We kicked off summer break with a day on the lake with some of the boys friends. We ate at our fave spot on the water and stayed out until the sun went down.
On Saturday, we finally did something we have been talking about for awhile and built a fire pit! It was actually pretty simple and I think I'll post a tutorial once we have it all prettied up around it.
It's already provided a couple smores nights just since Saturday!
Sunday was one of my favorite events of the year...the mother son baseball game! It's become tradition to play it at the boy's end of season party and I love it. The moms lost by 1, but fun was had by all.
How cute are these baseball donuts a local shop made for the party?
Monday was one of the best in awhile. I woke up to two little heads relaxing on the deck like old men.
We celebrated school break with mimosa Monday at the pool while the kids got all their energy out.
Then finished the day with friends and more fire time.
I hope all of your kids are out of school and that your summer is off to a good start! This is the first year in awhile that we aren't traveling in June and I think I like the settling down time before the vacations!

Today is all about my favorite summer style, dresses! I love feeling girly and dressing up, so a dress is usually my go-to. Living in the south, it gets really, really hot and a dress is usually the thing you can wear to keep the coolest. A little air flow never hurt anyone!
Lately, I've been having a moment with floral maxi dresses, in particular.
Other styles of dresses that I've been loving lately are the cold shoulder style as well as a shirt dress. This black cold shoulder has a peekaboo crochet midsection and would be a perfect coverup!
I was brave the day I wore this white shirtdress to dinner with kids, but I love an all white summer look. Put it in a dress form and I'm sold!
I'm co-hosting alongside Living in Color and Stylin' In St. Louis today to talk about summer style. They host a link-up each Thursday and you can find tons of style inspiration in the links below!

Have you started your Father's Day shopping yet? I haven't! Ahhh! But I feel like I have a lot of good ideas for your man. Problem is, I've already purchased most of these for my husband! But that just means I'm sure they'll be hits for you.
1. Boat Shoes - I LOVE how these shoes look and The Hubs wears his all the time on the boat. He's been wearing them for a couple seasons now and they're holding up well.
2. Decanter Set - If your man likes any kind of liqour, there's no better way to store it than in a decanter. A little monogram just makes it more special.
3. Sonos Speaker - I think we have 3 of these around our house and they will always be a top gift suggestion from me. You can sync them to play the same music, or separate songs at the same time in different rooms. Totally worth the money!
4. Monogram Beer Carrier - There are many weekends that we walk to neighbors for a little BYOB hangout. My Hubs isn't a beer drinker, but if your man is, this is the perfect way to bring your booze in style.
5. Charging/Storage Station - Instead of having to look all over the house for your things in the morning, how nice is this station that holds all the essentials?!
6. Portable Charger - The Hubs and I both have one of these and they are fantastic for charging on the go. I use mine on the boat, at the pool or when I'm just out for the whole day.
7. Key Holder - Another station type thing, this one hangs on the wall and I think it looks so cool!
8. Oregon Trail Game - I got The Hubs this for Christmas last year. We both grew up playing this game on the computer and it's such a fun nostalgic game to play now!
10. Robe - Y'all know I love a good robe, but guess what? Women aren't the only ones who dig a little cozy!
11. Nike Pullover - You can't go wrong with a Nike pullover. For cooler summer nights or cold weather weekends, your man will sure get some good use out of this classic.
12. Stitch Wingtip Shoes - If you have a trendy guy, these are SO COOL. I love the detail and they will add a serious bit of style to a work outfit.
13. Bluetooth Record Player - Hipster meets technology with this bluetooth record player. Looks like the classic, but functions with much more ease.
One thing I forgot to add in my image above, is a Nest thermometer. It works electronically and even be controlled with Alexa! Which I think I need!
If you have any suggestions for others, feel free to drop them in the comments below!

I know we're 6 days into June, but since I get so many questions about my monthly meal planning, I decided to share the menu! I didn't get around to making it until yesterday, so we ended up eating some junk. That's what happens when I don't plan!
I keep our menu on the DIY menu and calendar board in our mudroom. It's a lifesaver for me to keep track of everything and when I can see the month's plans with it, it's easier to set a meal to a specific date.
You can see my monthly meal planning and shopping post for how I got started with all of this. I don't monthly shop anymore, because our eating habits have changed since our Whole30 results, but I do plan the month and try to shop weekly. I need to update that post with my current schedule, but at least you can get an idea from that.
I try to add in a new Pinterest meal every week. Sometimes they never get added again and sometimes they're huge favorites! I put a * next to the ones I haven't tried yet. All the others are winners!
{Carnitas Bowls - a new fave}
June Meal Plan
Thursday 1 - Out (Callan's graduation)
Friday 2 - Leftovers
Saturday 3 - Chicken Tacos
Sunday 4 - Chicken Nuggets (seriously, plan before the month starts so you don't eat this!)
Friday 9 - Out (last day of school celebration!)
Tuesday 13 - Tacos (I eat mine as a salad)
Friday 16 - Lemon garlic chicken (crockpot)
Saturday 17 - Burgers, sweet potato fries, salad
Sunday 18 - (Father's Day) Filet mignon, mashed potatoes, green beans
Tuesday 20 - Sheet pan roasted veggies and sausage
Friday 23 - Out (company in town for the weekend)
Sunday 25 - Pizza
Monday 26 - Marinated grilled chicken, salad
Tuesday 27 - Mahi Mahi with pineapple salsa, roasted potatoes, green beans
Thursday 29 - Tacos
Friday 30 - Chicken Stir Fry, rice
Now, don't go thinking I'm some crazy organized person. It is the 6th of the month after all! This is one area that I feel really helps my family with our health as well as our budget, so it's important to me!
I start by putting meals on the dates that have events, like company, baseball games, etc. Then I fill in around those dates. We tend to do chicken most often and I add in beef, pork and fish, each about once a week. Sometimes we'll get crazy and go out when it isn't planned. Sometimes we end up with a lot of leftovers and will skip a planned meal. But for me to stay in the shape I want and to eat dinner at a reasonable time at night, this works great for me!
If you have any questions about meal planning or recipes, let me know!

Happy Monday! We had such a relaxing weekend that was much needed! I told y'all on Instagram during the week that I was making a transition from a diaper bag to a mom purse! I'm not sure why I waited so long, honestly. It's been so nice carrying around a smaller bag and my back is sure thanking me!
I knew I wanted a nice neutral color that I wouldn't have to worry about changing to match different outfits. I also knew I needed a bit of space, as well as some inside pockets to make it all work. I went to Concord Mills Mall here in Charlotte, since they're having their Annual Bag Sale, and found this Michael Kors beauty for a great deal.
So let's talk about what is actually in my bag now. I thought about what I really use on a regular basis while I'm out, then started filling based on most important things. With Lincoln being 21 months, we really don't need tons of stuff anymore and I probably could have done this several months ago!
Wallet. I have a Michael Kors folding wallet that I got from the Concord Mills store a few months ago. It's the same color of the bag and the long, skinny design fits great.
Small Cosmetic Bag. I have a small, zip top bag that keeps my lipstick, chapstick, a little brush and a couple makeup items in it.
Diaper and Wipes. I just keep 1 diaper and a small wipe clutch in my bag now. It's very rare that Lincoln would need more than 1 diaper change while we're out and usually he doesn't even have any.
Snack Cup. I like this Munchkin Stainless Steel one because the flaps are soft and it doesn't hurt his little fingers.
Sippy Cup. These Munchkin 360 cups are my favorite lately. They don't leak unless they're violently thrown onto the floor. Haha.
Small Toy. He is really in love with his Blaze race car and I love that it's a little toy that keeps him entertained when we go places.
To make this smaller bag work, I still keep my Mom Car Essentials basket in the trunk with backup diapers, snacks and a change of clothes, just in case. Usually the only thing I use out of it is more snacks!
Concord Mills Annual Bag Sale runs May 26 - June 30, so you locals still have time to shop! There are additional savings off bags from many of the retailers, including Michael Kors, Coach, H&M, Vera Bradley and more! My bag was 60% off, plus the bag sale discount of 20% off on top of that! Head to their Facebook page to enter to win a $500 Simon gift card in the Handbag of Your Dreams Sweepstakes!
What is the most important thing you keep in your purse?
Have you ever made a diaper bag to purse transition? If so, when?

Happy Friday! This has been a whirlwind week around here. I had to really narrow down my favorite things today!
My sweet middle little graduated from Preschool last night! He has grown so much this year and we are so proud of him!
My big boy won his championship baseball game! He's been on the winning team now 2 seasons in a row. I cheered like my life depended on it and love being his biggest fan.
Snap & Shop Snack Tray - this thing is so cool! Lincoln loved every minute of a BJs run this week and I had free hands to fill the cart faster. Win-win!
OPI Infinite Shine 2. I love this new OPI in Patience Pays Off. It's the prettiest light pink!
Sileni Sauvignon Blanc. I'm not sure that I've ever had Sauvignon Blanc before, but I had this at a baby shower this week and it's so good! It's a light and fruity wine that's perfect for summer!
New Mom Purse. I'm slowly making the transition this week from diaper bag to Mom purse. Y'all. My arms are loving me. And I had a solo trip to Target and I could carry the bag without just fishing my wallet out from the inside of the diaper bag!
Ellie Box. I have been getting an Ellie Box every month for the last few months and I LOVE the pieces that it comes with! Each month, they send 5 pieces (2 accessories not pictured here) and new gear is so motivating to get my butt moving! This month, it's all about the back. So many cute details on the backs of the pieces!
The people at Ellie Box are so nice to give 3 of you readers next month's box! You'll get 1 subscription box, specially curated with 5 pieces that I'm pretty sure you'll love.

Don't the summer holiday's just bring out all the nostalgia?! Celebrating America, honoring the amazing men and women who fought for our freedom, time with family and friends and warm summer days that turn into long weekends. Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day are holidays that I look forward to every year and that I'm proud to celebrate.
Almost every year, my in-laws come home, right before Memorial Day, from a few months in South Africa. This year is no different and tomorrow they'll be here to spend a week with us. I really look forward to this time each year to catch up after not seeing them for awhile and for our boys to spend time with their Grandparents. These absolutely adorable boys, to be exact! This year, they'll be decked out in Gymboree Americana line to celebrate the weekend!

For the holiday weekend, we are pretty predictable and I love our traditions. We will spend the majority of the time on the lake. Boating is one of our favorite family past times and Memorial Day weekend is the kickoff of the summer boating season. I vividly remember family traditions that we had when I was my kid's ages and I think that my kids will grow up, fondly remembering days on the lake. Not to mention, I love getting my tan on when the boys are happy riding around! Baseball is a big part of our lives, (I do have 3 boys after all!) so we will spend a good bit of time playing whiffle ball in the backyard and watching our favorite team on TV.
Our Memorial Day menu is pretty classic summer foods. My boys always vote for burgers and hot dogs and I already have a special crab sauce that I buy in Florida to serve with our shrimp boil! My in-laws love it almost as much as I do and we do a big spread on newspaper on the back porch. There will be a lot of watermelon juice dripping down little arms and probably a good bit of stain remover on their cute new Gymboree Americana clothing. But the memories will far outlive the stain scrubbing!
Gymboree has the cutest red, white and blue clothing for girls and boys and right now, everything is under $12.99 with free shipping! You better stock up for the summer now!
What are your summer holiday traditions?
Any favorite activities or recipes? I want to hear them!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! Ours held the last games of the season for both my big boys and tonight starts playoffs! I'm the crazy cheering mom, who may like to yell at the ump a little. Hehe. We also had a grown up boat night with some friends, which was so nice and relaxing. It's a whole different feeling to be on the boat without worrying about making sure little people are sitting on their butts!
Today, I wanted to chat a bit about fitness with y'all. I'll be honest with you. Fitness for me kindof ebbs and flows. I get into the swing of things and then I back off. I put on a few pounds and then go hard core. It's a struggle keeping a balance, but that's exactly what my goal is. I don't want to live my life feeling like I'm restricted, but I want to be healthy for myself and for my family. I love racing my boys and knowing I can keep up in a wiffle ball game!
Here are a few sure fire ways I use to get myself motivated that I want to share with you!
My Workout Motivators:
New Workout Clothes - I am completely obsessed with Carrie Underwood's line, Calia. I got my first piece, simply because I really love her music and I thought it was cool that she had clothing. Well, I got hooked. I've gotten several pieces and I love them all!
A different, more playful brand I'm loving, is Hippie Runner. I mean, we all need tacos, right?!

Hydrate - I really try hard to keep up my water intake. But, I get so darn bored with it! I'm a big fan of seltzers and if you pour it over ice and top with a fun straw, you might even feel like you're enjoying a mid-day cocktail.
Meal Plan - I know I probably sound like a broken record about this, but I can't preach it enough. Meal planning is my biggest and most powerful tool for staying on track. It prevents the last minute fast food run, relieves stress of "what's for dinner" and also saves on my monthly groceries. I wrote this post on my monthly meal planing years ago and plan to update it really soon. For now, though, it's still got my tips on how to start!
Document - I'm a big list maker! I love checking things off and my workouts are no different. I like to make a calendar and check off as I finish my workout. I also think it's very important to take pictures and write down your measurements so you can really see the changes in your body. I love to see a difference in how my clothes fit, but it's also great to have hard evidence!
Find "Your" Healthy - There isn't a diet, meal plan, or workout program that works for everyone. You have to find that thing that works for you. For me, my diet goals are gluten, dairy and sugar free. Basically a Whole30/Paleo type diet, but I do brown rice and beans. That said, I'm an 80/20 type gal. I eat pizza with the family on occasion and just had my favorite burger over the weekend. Which brings me to my next point...
Let Yourself Live - I hate calling it a cheat meal or day, really, because that implies doing something wrong. I think it's not only right, but a good thing, to not live completely strict. If I put so much pressure on myself to eat a certain way all the time, I find myself craving the things I'm not "allowed". If I know there is a certain time I can have a little something, it makes it better. Sometimes I don't actually give in, but it's nice to know I "can".

Hope to see you tomorrow on FB Live!
Hope you've all had a great week! The Hubs was gone a couple days this week and I always feel a bit frazzled parenting solo. So glad he's home now and we have a pretty relaxing weekend ahead. Here are some of my favorite things this week!
- I grabbed this mug at Walmart this week! I don't see it online, but I was eyeing is this one in store, too!
- Clean Juice Davidson opened last weekend! I'm SO excited to have them close to me and it's such a gorgeous spot. When I got back to the ballfield with my drink, it was quickly confiscated by my child. Haha. What a great way to sneak some veggies!
- I ordered this cactus rug and it's supposed to be in today! I'm semi stalking the mail man...itsn't it just the cutest for summer?!
Tonight, we have a sitter and are getting out for a date night! I love the snot out of my kids, but momma is excited about some carefree time. It's good for the soul, y'all. Don't forget to take at lesat a little time for yourself and your marriage/relationship this weekend!
Happy Friday!

Time for another edition of #WhatMollyWore on Instagram! The weather is officially hot here, so this is probably the last of the true spring clothes!
Don't forget to join me tonight on Facebook Live, along with Heather of My Life Well Loved and Liz of Pure Joy Home to chat all things fashion! I'd love to hear your questions, so drop them below or shoot me a DM!
Speaking of fashion, did you know that Shopbop clothing is Amazon Prime eligible? Hello mailman. My porch is about to fill up!
Happy Mother's Day!
What are the chances you're getting exactly what you want today? I mean, is it really possible to make kids stop dirtying their diapers or complaining about something?
Motherhood is hard, y'all. But you already knew that! Being on call 24/7 can lead to quite the frazzled, hot mess of a woman and I don't know about you, but it's not a good look on me. I've had 3 c-sections, spent endless hours working on body builder quads from all the bouncing to sleep and have even (accidentally) sipped my own child's pee. I really feel like I should get a huge medal, close to the size of Flavor Flav's clock, but that might be an obnoxious gift for myself!
Sometimes I get jealous of the girls who have their mom right down the street, where they can drop the kids off to take a breather every now and then. I have a group of girlfriends here and we're all in the same boat with none of our mom's nearby. In thinking about Mother's Day and how the best way is to spend it, I figured we should take matters into our own hands and celebrate our own darn selves. I planned a tropical bunco night, complete with all things girly and we Buttered ourselves up, with JaM Cellars Butter Chardonnay.
There wasn't a child in sight and we used our night of freedom laughing a lot, eating snacks we didn't have to share with anyone and drinking Butter. The alcoholic kind. When the weather warms up, I'm a total chardonnay fan and I love the fruity, lemon taste of Butter Chardonnay. At under $20, you can totally justify drinking it on the regular. My grandma always said that butter makes everything better and if she were here to sip this one with me, she would say this Butter is no different.

Motherhood is the hardest and yet most rewarding job in the world. It's not only okay, but totally necessary to celebrate that hard work! Make sure that you're taking the time to spoil yourself every now and then. Or everyday. I won't tell! Have some Butter and dance while you cook dinner. Sit in your backyard and watch your kids play instead of cleaning up after them. They're the reason you drink anyway, so go ahead and bring that wine with you! Use this store locator to find JaMCellars Store Locator to find the Butter closest to you!

A Georgia Weekend
11 May 2017 10:58 AM (7 years ago)
Lincoln and I drove down to Georgia last weekend to celebrate my brother and sister graduating from high school and with their Associates degree. They were homeschooled, just like I was, and were able to dual enroll for the last couple of years. It was so nice to be together with the whole family and to get to celebrate with them!
This is the original 7 members of my family!
There's a big gap between the 3 of us older girls and the 2 younger kids. The dynamic is different than most families, but it's wonderful! I'm currently trying to get both of the younger ones to move in with me!
My parents still live in the same town my dad was born in. Where they lived when they were newlyweds. Where my grandparents are buried. We moved around a ton when I was younger, but I lived here for a bit as a teenager. It's small and there isn't much to do, but it has so much charm and so many memories.
On Friday night, we got together with lots of extended family at my Aunt and Uncle's house for a southern style BBQ. Potato salad, banana pudding and glass bottle coke were all part of the menu. We sat around and sang while my brother played guitar and caught up with everyone we haven't seen in awhile.
Saturday was the graduation ceremony. I didn't expect to see much of it since I had Lincoln, but they were streaming it on a big screen, so I didn't miss anything. Even my baby sis belting out the National Anthem.
Not sure if we have an "overly excited to document moment's family" or what, but our whole herd was out taking pictures long after everyone else had left!
The sis directly younger than me, Whitney, makes the prettiest cakes and made a cute graduation hat for the day.
That night, we drove over to Tallahassee, FL to eat dinner at Harry's Bar and Grille. It was my first time and it was delicious! Didn't hurt that they had $5 margaritas in their happy hour while we waited, either!
After dinner, we spent a bit taking some pictures and checking out the plaza before we headed home. I was so happy to get some good shots of my brother and his cute girlfriend, my sister's little ones, my baby sis and Lincoln!
Graduation day also happened to be my sister's Birthday, which we celebrated with another cake made by Whitney! This unicorn was so impressive!
There's nothing like time with family and I'm so grateful that I got to spend some time with them!
