June Challenge Simply Magnolia 21 Jun 2021 4:58 AM (3 years ago)

We're back with another challenge over at Simply Magnolia

The theme for this month is:

You can make whatever you like as long as your card/creation has Magnolia products on it.

What could be more Swedish than a Crawfish Party (kräftskiva)..
It starts in the beginning of August (this tradition started because the crawfish harvest in Sweden was, for the most of the 20th century, legally limited to the late Summer). You boil the crawfish together with water, beer, some sugar and fresh dill. It is served cold and eaten with you fingers. You eat the crawfish together with some bread, salads, Västerbotten cheese pie and other dishes served in buffet-style. Let's not forget about the beer and the snaps - very important! You sing drinking songs like Helan går and wear silly hats. I mean, what can be more fun than this! 😀

I decided to make a mini pocket letter invitation with this theme in mind. I have used Pinch Peal Eat Repeat and Crawfish Boil from the Crawfish Boil collection from 2020 by Magnolia. I coloured the images with Spectrum Noir Classique Markers. The patterned papers are also from Magnolia - Scandinavian Map from the Summer Memories collection and Wave from the You are My Hero collection. I cut a photo sleeve from Echo Park in half and used the 4x6 sheet for my pocket. I closed the sequins pocket using my fusing tool kit by We R Memory Keepers.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

- Challenge Up Your Life:
- Creatalicious Challenges, Challenge # 213: Anything Goes with the option of at/in the Water
Dream Valley Challenges, Challenge # 250: Summer Fun
- Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges, Challenge # 2125: Anything Goes

Top 10 2020 30 Dec 2020 2:52 PM (4 years ago)

The year 2020 has finally soon come to and end and I have scrolled my blog and found my top 10 for this year. It has been a crazy year and creating cards has definitely helped in these difficult times. I am looking forward for a new year and hope that 2021 will be a better year.

I had a creative year and much of that is because of the three design teams I have been a part of. I am so happy that I could join these design teams. It brings me so much joy and creativeness to be a DT and also that I hopefully can inspire others with my creations.

I would also like to thank everyone who left me a comment during the year. I really appreciate them and cherish them.

Happy New Year to you all! Wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2021.

Julglädje med snöboll, Sötaste nissen med halsduk och stor tröja, Julglädje med julhjärta 20 Dec 2020 1:09 PM (4 years ago)

I found the cutest little Christmas elves over at Skogstokiga. I coloured them with Spectrum Noir Classique Markers. The patterned papers are from the A Gift for You by Maja Design. I decorated the cards with corrugated cardboard, cheese cloth, sequins and gems. I also used the Snowflake Duo dies and embossing folder by Tim Holtz/Sizzix. I created the cards for my closest colleagues so I wanted the cards to be a bit similar.
