A La-D-Da design from the 2008 Sept Just CrossStitch Mag. Halloween issue'

I changed the fabric to 28 ct Spring Meadows Green and used a #4 purple Kreinik for the stockings.

Stitched with DMC 4130 (used every bit of 2 skeins) on 28ct white linen, 
then dunked into a bath of hot water steeped with onion skins.
It was a little too white, and the bath gave it a gold glow!

I also wanted to fool around with stitching horizontally and vertically with variegated floss, so I stitched the sides of each pumpkin horizontally and the center section of each pumpkin vertically.  
I think you can see the difference.

My in-laws are from Clitheroe so this was a special piece for me.

Well, even though I posted the finished stitching back in February, I didn't quite have it done in time for Mother's Day!  I'm going with the saying that it's better late than never.  Just a simple flat finish, displayed on an easel.
