Its 2017 15 May 2017 4:43 PM (7 years ago)

i dont know how long i have left this blog.

all i know its been a while.

i have always wanted to write back but was contemplating if i wanted to just continue where i left off, or start a new blog.

I've decided just to continue on this old blog of mine, but i surely need to revamp the whole layout since im not with HaiO anymore (one of the main reason why i didnt want to continue here.. but i guess it was part of my life. i've learned a lot since my HaiO days, and I am a big believer in "everything happens for a reason" ..)

The main reason i want to start writing again is because of my kids. I have 3 now :) i know.. its been so long, i think the last post was in 2013, and my youngest wasnt even conceived yet..haha.. anyways.. i have a lot of writing to catch up with so i'll make this one short.

To my kids, if you guys ever read this one day.

Mama is doing this for you.

Love,
Mama

** i just went thru some old posts and realized a lot of pictures are missing. sad.  its ok tho.. moving forward from here. :)

all about me and him 12 Dec 2016 3:34 PM (8 years ago)

(warning: this entry is going to be very2 musshhyy and all about me and him..for those who thinks that they would not understand or stand the musshyness. Please stay away.hehe~~)

its 4.15 am.

and i cant sleep.

solat dah.baca Quran dah.

I dunno what to do anymore to stop crying..

I just miss him so much!!!!!!!

I'm just not used to be far from him this long..not even when we were as a couple.

urghhhh...I know other people lagi teruk...some husbands have to be offshore for month or years and some has even lost their loved ones..

I just cant help myself..say I'm mengada if you want to..I care not..

so anyways, I thought writing about him would help me.

How I knew him? He was a friend of a friend.

We started off as friends. I first saw him at the library in my second semester at UUM, studying with my friend [a guy of course]. I was there to learn an account topic from my friend. He was wearing a white cap, white sweater and white slipers..my first impression..

OMG, this guy is sOooOooo cute!! heheh~~ [back then he had a very innocent look and still quite fair]

He was very quiet, and focused on his books...He totally ignored me being there..[and i think he switched tables after quite a while because I was soo noisy asking my friend this and that..annoyed I guess..heheh~~]

after the first time seeing him, I met jyue and went on and on about this cute guy wearing all white, and jue was like..."kan die dalam kelas kita..die pki kasut putih kan g kelas"

errrkk..??How could I have not noticed this cute guy?

Heh~~ so anyways, after that I saw him very often during final exams week at the library..it wasnt because of him tho I was at the library all the time, it was bcoz my 1st semester results were such a disaster I had to work triple hard to get my CGPA up. All the time I was there, he was there, we didnt talk..He's the type who ignores the people around him when he studies..

It was not until our intersesion semester that we started talking..I went to the library during our test week [of course!] , and while taking a break from studying, me and a couple of guy friends [it seems then only the guys like to hang out at the library to study..i wonder why] , went out at the library foyer, just to hang..then I asked them..

"Ali tu mmg cam gitu eyh..senyap jer..tak bercakap sepatah haram pun"

then my friend answered, "die takut nak ckp ngan ko tuh..ko start arr sembang ngan die.."

after going back into the library, I went to him and said.."eyh ali, ko takut eyh nak ckp ngn aku?"
He took a quick look at me and said.."manade"..and his ears went all red...!!

hahahaha~~ laaa...pemalu rupanya budak ni..ingatkan sombong...

But that was the starting point, he was ok after that..not quite the chatter box like I was but he did start talking to me..occasionally..when he's not studying that is.. ;p

After I got excellent greds on my second semester, I studied at the library more often, after classes and during tests and exams week, also during the last week to submit any projects [hehe]..the guys were soo helpfull..mmg tak penah kedekut ilmu laa depa ni...

btw, just to inform, the people that I study with at the library, ALL BOYS, except for Ada, but itupun pen will always say, "Ada is a boy wearing tudung"..hehe..Its easier to study and be friends with the guys actually, when they study, they study, no chatting around, or gossiping about other peoples life...they do EAT a lot tho, and it was always me who will be providing the snacks...but well, they teach me accounts, I pay back with snacks...a rather good deal right? Ayu joined us after that, then elyn on the last sem..[but these two were always around klu ade makan2..huhu~~~]

I must add, these boys, mase study..study..mase hoo-haa~~ mmg giler..but one thing, they never [or try too..] tinggal solat, all of them are are mostly from Sekolah Agama..thats why I love these guys, as crazy and hoo-haa they get, they always stick to the basics...they are not like crazy skema, but they are open and honest, there was this one time, during class, ali smses me,

ali: ecah, ko suke ke org ckp ko seksi?
me: aku seksi ke? kan aku pki baju lengan panjang nih..
ali: hmm..tapi kan klu menampakkan susuk badan dan menggairahkan tu seksi..
me: menggairahkan ke aku? [asking sbb terkejut ok!]
ali: hehe..takdelaa..aku memain jerr laa..

the next day, I wore baju kurung, then ali... "haaa..kan nampak sopan n manis..."

danngggggg!!!!!

there were times when other friends would tegur my nails bila dah panjang..[that time i kinda liked to keep my nails long]

a friend: ecah, kuku ko dah panjang, ko saje ke ko takde pemotong kuku..aku ade klu ko nak..
me: hehe~~ takdelaa saje..kenape eyh?
a friend: takdelaa..tak elok..nak amek air semayang pun payah, nak kene makesure air masuk celah2 kuku tu...

maka, the next day, kuku ku pendek... ;)

there are other things, but kesimpulan..they are honest and they dont embarrass you or talk behind your back..they tell it straight forward to you when they see you doing anything wrong.. ;)

So, Hours and hours of studying and hanging out at the library made me really close to these guys..[there were like 6-8 of them then i think] , and after a while, we started hanging out at different places, starting with the cafes, then we started our own annual BBQ night, we went to Kuala Perlis to have seafood, having picnics and sometimes just hanging out at the mall..They did became my brothers.. and having feeling for them was such a No-No..!! geli ok~~

~the geng~

me with pen, ali n aki

we were friends until the 7th semester [practical], and there was this one time when I went out with Shidi n Mus, to watch a movie.. Ali merajuk!! he claimed I didnt asked him to join..I was like.. "ko kan keje..camne nak ajak?" [we was working part time at KFC at the time]

- owh did I tell you? He's like super rajin, he doesnt go back home during holidays, he works, part time..wherever he feels like it, Kedah, Penang, KL...as a salesboy, as a cleaner...everyone else go enjoy themself..and be with their family...but not him...

Nways, to make it up with him, we went out on the last day he was in KL, with a friend of mine from school, Mala, it was a friday, and when he went to friday prayers, Mala was like "cute nye budak tu...ko takde hati langsung ke kat die? "

What did I say? "NNNoooo!! manebleh..die tu cam adek-beradek aku jerr..iskk..geli ahh...ape laa ko ni mala.."

but it was true, these guys are my friends, close friends...like brothers to me...it was weird thinking the possibility of me having feelings for any of them...pelikkk ok!!
but then...the last semester came....since we were both taking the same major, we were in the same class, i took only 3 subjects during my last sem, so I had all 3 classes with him [ i think, or was it 2?]...then, we were in the same project group for one of the class..so we became reaaallllyy close..he would wait up for me after class, we would have lunch together, we would meet somewhere before class and go to class together...but there were still no feelings then, well, at my side there wasnt...i think....

and since it was our last year together, we decided to go for a trip, the whole geng with some addition of some of their gfs... it was 4 cars, 15 people, me, ali, dayu, ucop, elyn, pen, nadya
,ada, fikh, G, shidi, uyun, ampal, aki n apit... and somehow, ali ended up in my car... we went to bukit hijau for a picnic, penang for some nasi kandar and lepak2, then kolam air panas because the guys love it so much there and lastly empangan something [cant remember the name] for sight seeing and cam-whoring!! hehe~~

I tell you it was the BEESSSTTT trip everrr..!!! I want to post the pictures, but the gurls were tudung-less at bukit hijau n after the kolam ayer panas, didnt take much pictures at penang..so..cam tak sesuai laa kan since everyone pun dah jadi wife orang kan sekrang....hehehe~

one of my favourite picture from the trip

so anyways, after the trip, me n ali, we were different, i dunno why n how, but the feeling was there..even when we studied at the library, we ym'ed each other [we were sitting next to each other at the time], and ali wrote something like "ko buat jantung aku berdebar laa cah..."
hahahah~~ he wrote that and i went...duupp duppp duuuppp.....urrgghhh...cam nak tercabut jerr..!! but that was it, he didnt continue..hehe~~

after a week or two, he told Ada his feelings..and also he told Ada that he smsed his sister and said "abg rase abg dah jumpa perempuan yg abg nak jadikan isteri abg"

ouuchhh...when Ada told me [of course she told me! We were tight!] I was likee...ermm...speechless!!!!

ye laa...Ali Mirza, the sweet boy, the good boy who was loved by all the lectures, the shy boy..likes me..aisyah..the very loud girl, and the one people say sosial [not so actually!]..but kesimpulan, we were like langit dan bumi..so different in so many ways...i was half laughing and half thrilled!!!

and one night after that, both of us couldnt focus on our studies, went at the foyer to talk...we talked about our past relationships, [i was talking about all my flaws...]..yelaa..he was almost to perfect kan...so i wanted him to know what i am like..what i like and dislike..everything laa..bla bla bla..but actually he knows much about me already, we have already been good friends for 3 years what..and I have always been myself with the guys, no control2..no ayu2 one..kasar n ganas jerr dulu...;p [there was this one time the guys were talking about girls, then I went "ehem2..ade kaum hawa kat sini" then pen said, "uiks? yeke? ko kan lelaki..cuma pki tudung jer"..sabar je laa aku kannn!!!]

hmm..i remember saying "ko boleh ke sayang orang ali?" [since he was known to be very2 heartless~~] - can u imagined, he's been with his ex-gf for 4 years, and not once he showed her to us? there was this one time he was studying, and his gf called, he totally ignored her call! and he only meets her once a week when they were a couple! whhoooo~~ i was the type known to be very clingy~hehe..but true, i like being with my bf, calling, eating together..outings..but not ali [at that time]..

and he said " aku tgk kucing mati depan aku pun aku nangis cah" [erkk?? cam tak menjawab soalan jerr..hehhehee..but i understand kot mase tu...]

the night we talked about everything.. ;)
and when I went back to my room that night, he smsed me:

" ecah, I want to be the one who makes you happy for rest of your life"

wahh..nak nangis beb bace sms tuh..hehehe...but then, we agreed to stay friends until we finished our studies...konon2 tanak kacau since its our final semester..we wanted to make sure it didnt effect our results..;p

KONON!!!!

we were like belangkas after that..we were everywhere together, library [of course!!studying was his opss..our main focus!hehe~~] , breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner, supper together, since at that time we've already start studying at the library from after subuh to midnight [it been like that since the 4th semester i think]

ALL the pictures were taken at the library! foyer, bilik 24 hours, staircase..ALL at the library!!

tadaaaaa....our favourite place in UUM !! nerds! ;p

We took our last final paper together..

picture taken after our last paper using my hp (thats why a bit blur~~)

and Alhamdulillah..being with him...did not effect my grades..well actually it did..in a good way!! ;)

and We graduated together..

in Dewan MAS waiting for our turn...

after the ceremony

i hate this picture actually, my hands look so stiff!!!! well anyway..as long as its with him.. ;)

he gave me this teddy bear for graduation! ;)

**one of the things i love about him is that he doesnt spoil me with gifts, only occasionally, and he forbids me to buy gifts for him too..giler kan..but bila fikir, its good, at least i dont expect him to buy me any, and when he does, the feeling of getting the gift is so much more thrilling!! ;)**

my favourite gift from him is on my 24th birthday, he gave me this

he drew it himself! ;)

On his 24th bday, I gave him something handmade too!! ;)

it was his birthday and our 1st year anni..2 in 1..

We even had the chance to work together...TWICE! 1st, as teachers at mom's school, second in the office i'm currently working, but then he got a better offer, so he left me here all alone..hehe~~

him as a sub-teacher doing the weekly report (he hates that the most!)

working together in my current office ;)

One day, after picking me up from work, on the way back he was telling me about his day at his new office, and the motivation class [he was in training at that time] he attended, he told me they were asked to list down their new years resolution, and one of his resolution is "to be married to Siti Nur Aisyah by 31 december 2008"

I smiled from ear to ear!! :D

actually..dulu2..we planned to get married at least after 2 years of working, but..i dont know how ..tup2..he's parents came to merisik on 30 dec 2007, both parents agreed it was already bertunang since his mom already sarungkan the cincin, but I still insist it as merisik jer.. ;)

the day they came merisik..OMG i was so SELEKEH!!!! tgk tdung tuh...iskkkk!!!!

3 month after that, on 15 march 2008, we got engaged...
When people say, during the engagement period, darah manis, they were not kidding, me n ali, we seldom argue, but when we were engaged..masyaAllah...we were like cats and dogs...he was sensitive, i was sensitive, there was at one point, we felt like we didnt want to get married..seriouss...
but alhamdulillah...we managed to get thru that period...and because of that we know each other a little bit more than we used to..
and on 13 December 2008, we got married.. ;) Alhamdulillah... ;)

the akad
he's my husband!!!! ;)
Johor's reception
Married life is a bliss~~ I just cant describe how happy I am now..I feel complete when he's around..I am just sooOOoOo grateful, that after all I've been thru, God sent me him to be my partner for life..I cannot ask for more..he's just simply perfect for me...

as husband and wife ;)

a new chapter 8 Apr 2013 10:37 PM (12 years ago)

I've been having problems with what I wanted to focus on for a while since I just love to sew everything. Everything is a challenge and there's nothing I dont like or would not try sewing. This became a little bit overwhelming after a while so I've decided to focus on kids stuff - mainly cloth diaper, baby blankets, dresses coz after trying other diff things, I find that this makes me happy the most. also I am most passionate about.

so far I've been collecting materials, testing patterns, figuring out whats the best materials..bla bla bla... so insyaAllah... I'll be launching this soon.

I pray that Allah will give me the patience and strength in this new chapter. amin.

In Shaa Allah

Cloth Diaper. they ask, I answer. 4 Mar 2013 9:54 PM (12 years ago)

So, i've been getting a LOT of questions about cloth diapers. If you would like to know in detail about cloth diapering, like the materials, types, how much u need, accessories, you could read it at this blog, you can get everything in details.. i tried writing a post about it.. I failed miserably. There's too much to explain in one post and it was like panjang menjela..so I couldnt even bother to finish it.. haha.. I'm lazy like that...

but, I am going to answer some questions that I've been asked so frequently, I can even hafal the anwser.

1- Senang tak pakai Cloth Diaper (CD) ni?

Well, if you were to compare dengan pakai Disposable Diaper (DD) , of course pakai CD ni remeh BANYAK, with DD you only need to buy, use and throw. where dengan CD ni, there's a lot of extra steps to be taken like

* after beli you need to pre-wash the CD at least 3 times (wash-hangdry-wash-hangdry-wash-hangdry) to get rid of the natural oil especially those made from organic fibers also for its absorbency. tahap kesabaran harus tinggi coz I believe parents yg CD bila beli CD baru mesti tak sabar nal bagi anak pakai :)

* then when dah start pakai, after poopoo kene sembur buang poopoo, if kecing then kene rinse, then kene gantung and kumpul for atleast paling lama 2 days, sebab 1 day rugi air basuh sikit sgt CD, more than 2 days CD start berbau.. or at least I wash bila dah ade 10 CD :) jimat air..

* of course the obvious extra step where u need to wash and hang and lipat the CD, comes the season where it rains everyday so lagi lambat CD kering .. and you find yourself kehabisan CD sbb semua tgh jemur..huhu

* and..after a certain time using the CD, when it starts to stink faster than usual, or becomes yellow, kene stripwash the CD..kene blaja mcm mana nak stripwash plak

* plus the different detergent u have to buy, a place to stack the CD (ok this is actually the fun part), a place to hang the CD to dry where you need sunlight..bla bla bla

so kesimpulannya... nope, pakai CD is not as easy as ABC... BUT!! once you get the hang of it, selitkan in your daily routine, I swear you will LOVE IT especially when you see your baby with that big bum of colorful fabric :)

and there's the environmental friendly thing.. :)

2- Betul kerrr pakai CD ni boleh jimat $$$$ ??

Haaa...here's the thing, a newborn needs atleast 30-40 pieces of CD stashed, an older baby about 20-30 CD, depending on your washing cycle... so IF you stick to that amount, sure, mmg jimat...BUT if you are like me, jenis tak boleh tahan diri tgk CD yg comel2.. and asek nak beli CD baru every other day, NOPE.. tak berapa nak jimat sebenarnya coz CDs are expensive!!!....haha..but in my defense, I'm still collecting CDs for Alya, she has less than 20 now, sometimes when its raining, CD die tak cukup, so, it still ok for me to buy more CDs..kan kan kan....

3- Why ade CD yg mahal, ade yang murah, which one you prefer??

actually its more about preferences, and your own budget,

*ade yang economical CD (mostly China brand) prices range from rm15-29/piece

*local brands are mostly middle range priced from rm29-59

*imported brands are more expensive from rm50-100++

 if handmade plak..

*local (very few that make them) mostly range dari rm70-100++ coz the material are very hard to find, mostly kene import, ok semua kene import! and they are not cheap!!

*dr US (mostly yg handmade dr US) harga around rm70-200 - mostly is the postage..skrg ni makin mahal shipping from US

i did buy economical CD first, sbb dengan alasan nak jimat kan, but after a while I changed to imported brands like simplex, itti bitti, grovia, eli monster.. mainly because of the material and cutting, I find that material yg economical CD ni stinks pretty fast and the cutting does not fit very well, habis merah2 peha alya... so I was like takpelaa spend sket asalkan Alya pakai selesa kan..plus performance performance..!! does not leak, does not stink, does not stain easily and boleh pakai lama...we call it ROI :)

Alya in her red Itti Bitti,

Alya's collection of her Itti Bitti..

you can get ready stock of Itti Bitti here

but now, I'm slowly making my own CD for alya coz like I said, quality CDs are super duper expensive! hehe :) buying the materials are not that much cheap, but at least ade laa jimat sikit :)

my 1st attempt

I made this after drooling over a super talented momma yg buat ni kat US, it was selling for rm190!! crazy!! tak tahan try buat sendiri..oklaa :)

alya modeling mom's creation :)

*people are asking if I'm taking orders, insyaAllah soon..tengah kumpul material, not easy to get in malaysia, semua kene order + import*

4 - Ape yang bestnya pakai CD ni?

Sebab die COMELLLLL!!! hahahhaa...seriously, I can go all, its environmental friendly and safe for your kids bla bla bla.. but seriously it is, you know how many chemicals are used to produce a DD? too many!! they are still studying the effect it has on a human body.. also they still dont know how long it takes to dispose a DD .. you can read about it here .. I dont wanna scare people..haha..

but I love CD because they are cute on alya..I mean, you have to have a good reason to dress up ur kid right..like going out or kenduri...but with CD, you need no reason...you can put on cute diapers on her everyday!! :) heee ~~

5- Boleh explain tak types of CD?

too much to explain.. sila baca disini

hehe..ngelat tak???

6- What kind of CD do you recommend for a newborn?

Prefold and covers of course!!

because a newborn needs 30-40 CD coz in average a newborn needs to change every 2 hours or so, that makes like 10-12 CD per day.. the thing is newborn ni takdelaa kencing bnyk mana pun, so by using prefolds and covers ni, u can easily just change the prefold and use back the cover as long as tak kotor kene poopoo or anything, so you would probably need like 10-15 covers and 30-40 prefolds, covers cost from rm30-60/piece , and prefolds cost rm13-25/piece, depending on material, I super love hemp, coz it absorbs more than cotton, but for newborns cottons are good enough :)

7- when do I start buying/stashing CD?

I started on my last month of pregnancy, wrong move! start early, like on your 5-6th month, coz CD are expensive, and you need a lot, so, buy sikit2 so that tak terasa sangat nak kene beli sekali gus... I mean, mr hubs wont be too happy if he spends rm1k on CD in a single buy kan... and normally husbands are not so supportive when it comes to CD :) so sikit sikit is the key! for sure!

Ok laa, itu jer for now, baby dah bangun...if you have anything to ask, just buzz me on FB or email me :)

freedom of speech? 26 Feb 2013 9:42 PM (12 years ago)

sometimes when I'm really bored. I blog-walk. I love to read what people write about their lives. especially those with kids. it gives me ideas what to do with my kids. for the present or even for the future - thank god for pinterest since I'm so forgetful these days.

anyways, once in a while, I stumble across some negative writings/post .. like people writing about ketidakpuahatian towards a certain individual in their lives.. intentionally or not.. I frown.. I get it, its your own personal blog. some say "this is my personal space..you dont like it..butt out.."

the thing about blogging or the internet mostly is that it is public. for everyone to see and read. you want to write something bad about someone. write it in your own diary - offline! where no one can read it, no one can talk bad or make bad assumptions about the person you're talking about..

some also defend themselves and say something like that its not wrong and mumble the word freedom of speech.

of course, if theres any truth to the story, legally, its not wrong.

but I believe, growing up, we were taught not to intentionally hurt people's feeling, right.. and for a muslim, its sinful. intentionally writing something to hurt someone. you have issues, work it out with the other person.. if you write bad things, other people will talk, then other people will dislike the person. kira mcm menghasut jugak laa kan.. thats like double triple your sin already...

but well, we are human. we make mistakes. a reminder to myself also.. lets all spread love and not hate, yes?

gambar tiada kene mengena dengan post. :)

short family vacay 26 Feb 2013 1:12 AM (12 years ago)

hubs been working like crazy a lot lately. coming back at 5am. not sleeping. so I forced him to take leave and bought a voucher from Streetdeal.my for a 1 night stay at Gold Coast Morib Resort plus 2 tickets to the waterpark. it was actually my uni friend, Elyn who asked us to join them, they bought the voucher a few month back, and since the deal was still on (and still is! check it out here) I said why not. Hubs really needs some family time, and it would be fun to go with friends anyways :)

it was said that the journey to Morib from KL would only take an hour, but it was more like 2 hours for us + sesat lagi.. the kids both slept throughout the journey since both of them slept at 2 am the night before (I know! kids nowdays huh?!!) so it was a tantrum free journey for us.. :) alhamdulillah..

when we arrived, it was already 1.30 pm, checkin time was at 3pm, so we decided to have lunch and wait till we checked in and solat first before we went in the waterpark.

the food at the cafe, are priced as a normal hotel would price their food (nothing below rm15) but the food were surprisingly good and in a huge portion, so if you decide to have lunch there, you could share a plate of mee goreng with your partner no problem :)

due to the huge crowd (even on a sunday) the checking in took longer than we expected. the system was kinda weird too, you check-in at the reception counter, but you have to collect your keys at another area, which was ridiculous coz they had to find our names manually... but well..whatever..

then we went to the waterpark and spent like 30 minutes there coz turns out my kids both not a huge fan of water or maybe waterparks, im not sure... aqil took one ride on the water slide and called it quits, alya cried the moment i put her in the water (she could have been sleepy also hence the crying) .. i convinced aqil to go in the water, but he end-up almost drowning (he slipped while he was in the water, and panicked and could not get up) it happened in a split second and lucky hubs realized, and quickly grabbed him... he cried and cried and cried and of course after that he was totally scared of going back in..

so we ended up playing - flying the kite at the beach..

or more like - ba was playing,

mama and alya were looking

and aqil was posing @____@ anak sape ntah...

the next day, we tried another round at the waterpark.. but before that...

had some mother-daughter time in the jazuki

(kerana ba and abg aqil tak bangun tdo lagi)

a buffet breakfast was included in the package deal. the food were good.. and variety.. go early tho..

alya was so bored. she slept!
 @________@

he stayed far away from the pool...

friends. as you can see. aqil stayed away from the pool. did get him to change into his swimwear but no way into the pool :(

then it was time to go home..

it was his birthday that day, but since we already had cake 2 days before, so no cake for the birthday boy.. kesian.. maybe tunggu Tok Wan Zek balik eh sayang..

If your kids love the water, this is an OK place to go.. but dont go on weekends...crowded, and the place is kinda small, and there's also a private Jacuzzi in every room so you could also get some romantic time with your partner when the kids are asleep.. its a win win situation here :)

If you buy through Streetdeal.my its only rm168 for 1 night stay and 2 adult tickets valid for the 2 days stay :) thats really cheap kan? the deal is on till December 2013 so u have plenty of time to plan your trip.. :)

Cheshire Oak and Manchester City 18 Feb 2013 3:32 PM (12 years ago)

UK/Paris trip take 3.

(read previous post here and here)

after the damage we did in Bicester Village (see here) , you think we would have at least insaf a bit and put shopping on a hold for atleast a day or two. you thought wrong, the next day, we went straight to Cheshire Oak, well it was a 3-4 hours drive from Cardiff to Ellesmere Port so we did get a good rest before we started our next shopping spree.. :)

Actually we went to our hotel first - stayed in Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port (highly recommended!!) .. solat and whatnot before we went to Cheshire Oak, which was just only 5 minutes drive from the hotel.

Cheshire Oak is another Outlet paradise, where I actually prefer more than Bicester Village coz there's a lot more choices and brands in Cheshire Oak, given the place is like triple the size of Bicester Village (maybe bigger!) .. check out the brands here... I swear if it wasnt because we had another 8 days in the UK, i would have spent all my money there! we didnt get to go in every store coz of the limited time we had there, but I did manage to go to the ones that I aimed earlier, like Warehouse, Coast, L'Occatine, Clarks, Marks&Spencer, Mama&Papa, Fossil, Ted Baker apentahlagilupalaaplakkk..

the clarks store there was much more bigger and with a lot more choices, went to Warehouse and bought a top for only 10 pounds!! theres no way we could get that price in Malaysia kan.. got a few tshirts for bff Ayim, also a Ted Baker messenger bag for only 35 pounds!

1st day there, we only had 3 hours to shop.. mmg tak cukup masa...btw the place is a quarter million squarefeet!! giloss!!

the only picture of us shopping! was trying our best to go in every store (which was impossible)

both stuffed animals from Mama&Papa, i think 6 pounds each? got 2 pairs of Clarks shoes for hubs (20pounds each!), a pair each for the kids :) puas hati :)

the next day we got up really early and went to Cheshire Oak (again!).. this time we had more time :) and..

this is what happen when u have more time.... @___@

next stop was the Mark & Spencer Cheshire Oak Eco-Store . its the largest M&S in the world! like seriously! its huge!! besar LCCT kot.. 2 stories..if you're into M&S punya barang i think you'll go crazy.. plus it was having christmas sales so lagi laaa kan... I think we spent 2 hours + in the store because we still had a long journey ahead of us that day.. no pictures in the store coz we were busy going uhhh--ahhh...at the stuff and prices!

Our next destination was Durham which was another 4 hours journey from Ellesmere Port, but we made a pit stop at ManchesterCity Stadium coz hey..dah lalu..haruslaa singgah kan.. :) it was already 1550 when we arrived, so we only managed to take a few pictures before the sun went down

Im not even an MU fan but I still went crazy buying the stuff there..

:)

then we had nasi arab for dinner at a place nearby, it was the most delicious nasi arab ever!!! i dont remember the name, if i could find the picture of the food I will update this post later.. till then... toodlesss~~

so I turned 29 last month 12 Feb 2013 4:49 PM (12 years ago)

"one more year till I hit the 3 series"

honestly, that was the only thing I was thinking about on my birthday. No joke! I never thought about it before and never knew it was going to be a big deal. I mean, everyone is going to grow up and add years to their age right? no biggie.. but the more I thought about going to be 30, the more depressed I became. I was not in a good mood.

seriously! and this is only my 29th birthday. I dont know what mental state I will be in when the actual 30th birthday comes. I hope I dont do something stupid. Like go fake my ID or something. lol!

So what did I do on my birthday? Since I was depressed (inside. I have a good poker face you know) and the only thing that girls do that make them happy (for a while) is SHOPPING!

sent the kids to my cousin. and I went to Sunway Pyramid to shop for new clothes. Which made me even more depressed when I could fit size M anymore..ok laa...kinda exaggerating here. I could fit M but since my new years resolution is to wear more loose clothing. M is out of the picture. but I did bought that Forever 21 top in M..hmm..cutting kot..

I also had..

Zanmai Sushi!!!!

This is my absolute favorite!! like nothing can beat Zanmai Sushi, whenever hubs and I want to indulge ourselves with expensive food. this is our go-to place!

and here's the story how I end up getting to eat free Sushi on my birthday

there I was, queuing up to dine at Zanmai Sunway, and I realized, I was the only person alone, everyone else were with a friend, or a group of friends. really didnt help with my depression at the time, so I sms-ed my good friend Ayim (also a good friend of my hubs) who worked nearby asked him if he had gone out for lunch already.. I told him where I was, and being the great friend that he is, he came to my rescue and blanjer me sushi for my birthday..!! Ayim, if you're reading this!! thanks!! :) I would say I love you but thats gonna be kinda weird coz we dont say that stuff to each other despite how close we are. haha..

later that night when I reached home. was staying at moms that week (cant remember why~ well I always am there pun) , mom and dad surprised me with a cake!!! yesss!! I am 29, married with 2 kids still mommy and daddy bought me a cake! gosh! I have the best parents I tell you!

the next day, hubs blanjer me sushi Zanmai (again! I know!) also we went for karaoke just the 2 of us :) I've been wanting to go karaoke since I was pregnant with Alya, but didnt get the chance..so this time I wanted to sing puas2..

but he ended conquering the mic! haihhh!! no laa..joke joke... (marah die satgi hahaha)

despite being depressed about the age and all, I am still thankful. Thankful that Allah has given me 29 wonderful years. Thankful for the family I grew up in. Thankful for the husband I am blessed with. Thankful for the two children who are now my heart and soul. Thankful for all the rezeki Allah has given me. Thankful for the hardship Allah put me through to make me a better person.

Also thankful for the brain and the beautiful skin.. hey I'm not kidding... everyone is blessed with different things, good hair, great body even though these people eat like there is no tomorrow!, good health and wealth, and for me, great skin :) I didnt really ever had any acne problem. and I dont even really need to have a good beauty routine or buy any expensive facial wash or whatnot, I could go to the store and buy any brand and it will suit me, heck, I can use a cheap body soap bar and still alhamdulillah my skin is OK... and tell you what, I have never done a facial. EVER.

this is not be bragging about my skin. this is me just giving facts and being grateful for being blessed with good skin.. I have other issues you know, bad-dry-frizzy hair, a yo-yo weight problem, no butt! but whatever. lets celebrate the good we have :)

out with a date with hubs- keeping the makeup to a minimum coz hubs dont like me in those heavy makeup.. i think this was like compact powder, eyeliner, mascara and lip balm only.

but having said that, having good skin or not still you can never be able to fight the law of gravity... or the law of aging.. I may not have obvious wrinkles yet, but hey there are still there..and I do feel like my skin is not as bouncy as before...if you know what I mean.. so I guess, the time has come to at least try put some effort to care about the skin right.. I was not about to go for the night cream, masque, peeling anything like that, just something simple, like a serum..so I got this

La Praise Vitalift Serum

and even though it has only been a while since I used it, I can feel the difference... I would do a before and after shot but I dont think you can really see it coz of the not so obvious skin problem..i think for my case, its more like a feel kind of thing, which is perfectly fine for me :)

Its water based, and very light, it absorbs pretty quick and you can really feel the difference after using it, like the feeling you get after wearing a mask, but you dont wear masque everyday right?! there's just no time for that! this one is easy peasy, twice a day (i wear it just once tho-i am that lazy!) after washing your face.. and ur done!

Its main ingredients are stem cells from fruits and plants (I'm not big on scientific names, but if you want to know you could drop me an email and i'll tell you) and the serum is suppose to make ur skin more bouncy and tight, helps inactive skin cells to activate again, balance ur skin PH, make ur skin youthful.. all those things that a serum are suppose to do laa senang citer...

and for a price of RM108, I think its affordable.. I mean serum are usually expensive kan (jeling mom punya estee lauder) .. and the most important thing that it works! I think you can read a lot of great testimonials out there about this serum... but if you are anyhow interested with the product you can just drop me an email at escallonia08@yahoo.com or watssap me at 0132221175.. and i'll assist you the best way I can :)

Everyone said Bicester Village is a must 11 Feb 2013 4:51 PM (12 years ago)

Our next itinerary after Paris was the UK Tour. Pelik eh? normally people will go for Europe tour but Mom wanted to show us the place where we grew up, where atif was born, where I went to school hence, the UK tour. It was a 5 days tour up north of the UK. We went to Oxford, Cardiff, Chester/Cheshire Oak, Manchester and Durham. but I will write it in a few posts if not I dont think there'll be enough space..

So first stop, Oxford. Oxford is just one hour drive from London. we kinda reached Oxford pretty late coz of the drama we had with the car rental (which I will write about later) so we didnt get to do nothing much that night coz all the shops closed early in winter pun.

In Oxford we stayed in a cozy BnB called the Adam Guess House. The rooms were quite small, but the breakfast was gooddd...or maybe because it was our first english breakfast during the trip, I guess I registered it in my head as SEDAPNYA. lol!

the room interior

the breakfast - come to think about it ~ biasa jer laa.. haha

after breakfast we went straight to Bicester Village coz everyone say klu pergi UK we must go to this place.. untuk ape lagi kan...shoppingg.... I would say the place is just slightly bigger from JPO, but the brands are more interesting then JPO .. there's Prada, Mulberry, Tods, Celine, Burberry, Gucci, DVF, YSL, Dior, Fendi if you're looking for some high brand.. or the normal Clarks, Pandora, Cath Kidsons, Ralph Lauren, Ted Baker... ok there's no way I can list all the brands here, you can check it out youself here if you're planning to go..

The prices? Cheap! not dirt cheap like you can go buy 10 prada bags, but its like maybe 40% less than malaysia? I didnt really go to every butique and check the prices but lebih kurang laa..I saw one Prada wallet which I know retails RM1800 in Malaysia, for only 180pound.. which is like RM900 jer after convert..thank god it wasnt in the color I liked.. huh

So I know when anyone talks about shopping place..they want pictures! but coz we were so busy shopping (or more like window shopping for me) we didnt really took that many pictures..but here are the ones we took..

]

syiqin was mostly my babysitter for the day :)

2 floors - super packed! I guess because it was Christmas sales kan. Prices? Ok laa.. less than 100 for a shirt?

Erin also helped babysit when the momma so busy looking at things

ok here's the story of this kid at Bicester village. Aqil was passed from one to another. like if I was holding Alya, someone else would help with Aqil, and when I pass Alya to Atif or mom, Aqil would be with me, but I dont know how, at one time when he should be with me, I was so confident he was with Atif (Erin and Syiqin were in Cath Kidson) but when I met atif, Aqil was not with him... I kinda went frantic for a bit... looking for him..and guess what... mom found him sitting on a chair... ALONE!! he saw my mom and said.. " tok wan zek, mama mana?"

OMG!! I feel like I wanted to kick myself in the butt for being so reckless.. but lesson learned... after that, thruout the trip, I always made sure who he is with before I take my eyes off him and go looking at anything....

Cath Kidsons window display

We actually planned to only spend 2 hours in Bicester because our next destination was 3 hours away and sunset was really early during winter at 4pm but how can you spend 2 hours when we wanted to go in every single shop!! we end up spending 4 hours there.. I only bought Clarks for the kids tho coz I was saving my money for the next outlet shopping in Cheshire Oak.

btw, Clarks there is pretty cheap..I got a 7pound shoes for Alya and 12pound for Aqil there...puas hati :) you have to go to Bicester if you go to London, I think you can take the train or taxi there from London :) Or just rent a car :)

till the next post.. bye!

Babywearing in Paris/UK 9 Feb 2013 3:05 PM (12 years ago)

theres a lot of pictures me carrying alya. but these are among my favorites...

I carried her almost all the time. everywhere. mainly because she was uncomfortable in the stroller plus it was easier and more mobile for me to carry her. also to feed her. NIP (nursing in public) was easy! that picture of me at Eiffel Tower. I was breastfeeding her! Its that easy. Alhamdulillah.. it was undoubtedly tiring but I wouldnt do it any other way. The bond you have when carrying your child. priceless :)

and I super love this picture Atif carrying Aqil when he refused to walk...

Babywearing is the way to go! Anytime. Anywhere. Always.

Bonjour Le France :) 9 Feb 2013 2:02 PM (12 years ago)

So our family trip. Where do I start?

If I were to write how we decided to have a family trip in UK/Paris. it will take ages. to cut the story short. for me, it started when Mom said "you want to go to London with the kids? I'll pay for the return tickets.." and the rest was history, 3 month of planning. and there we were.

Paris.

What can I say.

City of Love?

City of Lights.

Well, whatever it is called. I fell in love with it the moment we arrived.

The beautiful people.

The beautiful clothes.

The beautiful handbags. I must say, being in Paris for only 3 days somehow made me fall in love with handbags. Like I must have all those lovely handbags I see. No joke. I really want them.

but lets not talk about handbags. It will take forever. and you will see no ending to it.

Lets talk about the crazy adventure we had getting on the train to go to Paris. So we arrived at Heatrow at 7am like that, and we took the subway to atif's (my lil bro who is studying there) place to deposit the stuff we didnt want to bring to Paris - it was only 3 days in Paris so we figured backpacking made more sense then carrying all our huge luggage. anyways, the plan was to deposit our stuff and straight to Kings Cross where we would take the train to Paris. but well, us being us, plus having 2 kids in the bunch, we kinda lepak first and changed and whatnot. mom wanted to take the cab to the train station but atif insisted on taking the subway and we barely made it on the train! we didnt know we had to take everything off at security checking and at the end of it I was coat-less running with Alya in my arms getting to the train which by the way started moving as soon as we were on it! drama #1 there.

arrived in Gare Du Nord. everything was in French! it took us a while to get to the taxi stand. got on the cab straight to the place we stayed. Hotels in Paris? CRAZY EXPENSIVE. so we turned to airbnb and rented an apartment instead. Corresponded with the owner via email, he gave us his number but bijak, no one had international roaming.. so drama #2 obviously, how to get in touch with the owner? Nadia (my SIL) was the bravest of us all asked the taxi driver if we could borrow his cell, so problem solved, or so we thought. we managed to call the person, saying we were going to arrive in like 10 minutes time, and he asked us to wait downstairs and he will be there when we arrived. so we waited..and waited.. and nope..no one to greet us, it was dark. and cold. and we didnt know how to reach him, and suddenly, a lady was opening the door and Nadia went running into the building before the door closed and asked the lady to call the owner for us... I swear Nadia is just... brave..and I love her for that!! haha.. or it might be her survival mode kicked in coz we were freezing and tired and she was 5 month pregnant at the time.. so anyway we got in - The apartment was super huge, the deco was modern and i wished it was mine! it was in the 2nd arr. which was considered in the town area. anyways it was walking distance to Notre Dame, so basically, everything was near, bus stand, taxi stand, supermarket, metro.. atif, mom and nadia went to get dinner after we settled in, Alya and I immediately dozzed off once we hit the bed.

omg - just realized mcm karangan sudah. ok..i'll try to make it short.

next day - woke up early (jet lagged - i was jetlagged the whole week!) - had my dinner/supper at 2am, skyped with ayah, ate again, watched TV, slept, woke up again and it was finally morning!

we walked towards Gare Du Nord coz the nearest checkpoint for the Big Bus Tour was there it just made sense to find breakfast in the area and the place didnt dissapoint us, there were so many cafes to choose from till we had to let our nose decide for us :)

by walking I mean with stopping taking pictures along the way.. :)

had parisian breakfast which was yummy..but because we were so hungry tak sempat nak amek gambar :)

then we got on the bus and started our big bus tour in Paris

I wish I could post all the pictures we took in Paris, but that will be just crazy..

The Big Bus Tour, there were 11 stops all together (eh yeker? tak ingat) but we didnt get off all coz there was not much time, I think we only got off Eiffel Tower jer kot..oh and that street where we saw the Laduree shop..

tamak much? lol! anyways, the weather on the 2nd day there was actually pretty nice. It didnt rain. well atleast not until we were done with the tour but it was still cold freezing for us so it was hot chocolate and coffee at every stop.

of course started with a skema shot first

then the awkward I-dont-know-how-to-pose shots

and the I-Love-My-Kids-To-death shots

the cheeky boy!!

love you to bits boy!

then ending with the all in family shots

one of my many fav shots there.

we then headed to Laduree for the oh-so-famous macaroons..

oh! oh! before that, we were looking for toilets and I swear I think these french people dont go to the loo when they're shopping coz it was so hard to find one! and when we did, there was only one of them! and not to mention no baby room so I ended changing alya's diapers at the back of some shop.. drama #3!

there were a lot of places we didnt get to go coz of the time restrain, I wish we had time to go to these places

Galeries LaFayette, the largest LV store in the world, also the christmas market - was really looking forward to the handmade soaps :) but nvm, insyaAllah klu ade rezeki pergi lagi :)

the last day there, it started pouring since morning so it was so hard for us to walk anywhere.. we spent the whole morning in a souvenir shop where we got halau-ed from the first shop for asking discounts (hey! we did want to buy a lot!) - drama #4! the next shop we went to the owner was from Penang so he kinda layan-ed us very nicely and gave a lot of discount :) but already he untung a lot coz we really shopped! hehe..

then we went to The Louvre, but nobody was really in the mood to take pictures because it was raining and crazy cold..

see muka aqil how? whyyyy are you torturinggg me mama!?!?!!!

but we had to right? bila lagi nak g kannn... :)

then we headed to Gare Du Nord to catch the train back to London, which by the way we barely made the train! again!

but this time we did reach the station early, so here comes drama #5 - we wanted to have coffee before we got on the train and went into this cafe, we wanted to order but nobody served us so we taught maybe it was self service and we bought coffee at the stall right outside the cafe coz it looked like its a part of the cafe, when the servers realized it was not their coffee...they asked us to leave very rudely! we tried to explain that no one served us, they didnt even gave us the freaking menu! and we kinda got into an argument and things got really heated up - but one thing mmg i noticed the whole time we were in france, French people are rude!! the only people who were nice were the cafe we had breakfast the 2nd day, and the bus driver (who was not even french!) lain ~~ hampeh!!! mom said never again would she go to Paris ~~ T__T

so another coat-less run with alya on my arms to catch the train - full of drama I tell you! but atleast it wasnt a boring trip no?

these were what I got for myself from Paris coz we didnt really had time to shop there.. but alhamdulillah... I always wanted to taste the macaroons and get the keychain :) isnt it pretty :) the price is 29euro if you're wondering - please dont convert it into MYR..i know its kinda ridiculous for a keychain! (I saw it was selling for rm209 in ebay ke? CRAZY!) but well, at least I got something nice from Paris right :) no regrets there.

so thats it.. our adventurous trip to Paris :)

will blog about the other places we went slowly, editing pictures and writing posts are really time consuming .. it took me 3 hours for this post alone!

hope you enjoyed the pictures. if you're in my friend list in FB you could check the rest of the pictures HERE
I didnt make the pictures open to public, i'm sorry!

COLLAGEN = GREAT SKIN 11 Oct 2012 5:51 PM (12 years ago)

did you know drinking collagen is the IN THING right now?

I HAD NO IDEA!!

Till the company came out with a new product BB Plus Collagen drink

Since I never really had problems with my skin + the fact that I HATE taking supplements -- I set this one aside..

at first...

until mom hit me with her " I started taking care of skin since I was young..." really made me realize...OMG...i have been neglecting my skin all this while coz silly me for thinking I would be having mom's perfectly great skin when I am her age ~ no kidding! I really thought it was genetics man!!

BUT NO!!!!! mom has been taking supplements and doing all the facial since she started working..

gulp.

HELP! never had a facial my whole life! and I am lazy when it comes to cleanse-toner-moisturizer routine ~ dont even talk about eye-cream or night cream at all!

so now I'm saying hello to my new best friend (ok maybe not the best yet - need to break the laziness of taking supplements)

and the best thing is ~ it helps my whole skin and not only my face (logic laa kan sbb dah consume masuk trus ke badan! haishh!!)

need more info about the product? you can read it here ... i'll make a post about all the benefits and all after this ~

AND IT DOESNT TASTE LIKE FISH AT ALL!! (???) haha... coz it says the main ingrediant taken from fish kan..

this is how it looks like inside the box - 20 sachets per box :)

and this is how it works

and will result in

7 Hasil Kulit Cantik
1. Kulit wajah berseri dan cerah
2. Kulit lebih anjal dan tegang
3. Kulit lebih halus dan gebu
4. Kulit lebih lembab
5. Kulit lebih licin serta kurang garis halus dan kedutan
6. Kulit lebih cepat sembuh dan pulih
7. Kulit kurang kesan kerosakan akibat sinaran matahari

PRICE : RM180 per box of 20 sachets

*or get it free when you purchase 1 set of Premium Beautiful**

contact me if you are interested okehh :)

fashionvalet - Make The Pitch 10 Oct 2012 7:22 AM (12 years ago)

as much as I'm itching to start watching my TV series now, I felt like writing this post first, coz I just cant get over how amazed I am after watching FashionValet's Make The Pitch on youtube just now..

I have been a Proudduck reader for the past 3 years or so (who isnt right? Vivy's writings are just hilarious! and insightful and always fun to read) .. naturally that is where I knew about FashionValet.. anyways, klu ade lagi org yg tak tau, FashionValet is a online fashion store that caters our local designers..cool kan...ok honestly, not being a fashionista, i didnt really get whats the big deal..but after tgk how Vivy has been promoting local brands..and also being surrounded by those who loves fashion...I now understand why its important to support our local designers..

tho FashionValet.net is a must see everyday, sadly to say I havent made any purchase yet, sad kan..bukan tak support local designers or what...just that im seriously not that into fashion. i love simple. and mostly. I like to DIY... there's nothing more satisfying than wearing your own designs :) or maybe I just havent found something I really like yet (ok tipu ~ ade yg suka ~ but I'm too cheap to spend on clothes T__T) maybe one day ~ soon ~

eh ~ melalut plak eh...so back to the topic ~ Make The Pitch... I've heard about this program before, tapi tak penah tengok, then I saw vivy nyer post about they got the investment, trus rasa nak tengok ~ i must say, I'm super impressed ~ not because they got the investment, but just because they entered the show ~ eventho both of them are from family with money, but, they chose to find their own capital, to make it on theer own ~ tabik spring boleh ~

anyways, you could see their pitch here

the numbers are super impressive! and vivy was super serious!

then the semi finals

and the finals ~ where they got the RM1 million investment ~~ crazy kan

love Vivy nyer expression masa dapat the rm5k cheque tu ~~~

sweet and powerful couple right.

Inspiring kan?

Congratulations FashionValet for the investment :)

Semoga dipermurahkan lagi rezeki. InsyaAllah...

*maybe not all of us could do exactly like what they have done, but we could always take this as an inspiration and try what works for us kan... insyaAllah :)
