The Patriots entered in to the Thursday’s game with 8-2 record, where as Lions enter with 2-8 after losing the game against Buffalo’s. Pavelec won for the first time since the collapse at the start of the opening race of the season to save 32 in the Thrashers' 5 -1 victory over Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.
23 year old goalkeeper, collapsed two minutes into the opener Oct. 8 opener against Washington and the constant concussion when the back of his head hit the ice. He stayed for more than two weeks and lost in regulation time and twice in shootouts before beating the Wild.
Andrew Ladd and Fredrik Modin each had a goal and an assist as the Thrashers end a sequence of three defeats and snap Minnesota's winning streak to three games.
Ben Eager, Jim Slater and Nik Antropov also scored for the Thrashers, and Dustin BYFUGLIEN Tobias Enstrom and had two assists.
Antti Miettinen scored a power-play goal for the Wild in the third period to avoid first shutout of the team of the season and avoid becoming Pavelec third shutout of his career.

It seems that a clash of two teams in opposite directions as the Texans appear to be in desperation mode, while the Chargers seem to have some momentum after a big win at home against Tennessee last week.
The Chargers have a lot of injuries to their receipt of the troops, and it seems that Pro Bowl tight end Antonio Gates will come out of this contest as well.
this is a short week for Texans, but playing at home a second straight week. Do well in the role of underdog to take points at home.

San Diego (3-5) vs Houston (4-3: San Diego Chargers, NFL best teams in the second half in the past four seasons, that many division titles over that stretch. The Chargers are looking to win back to back games for the first time this season when they go for their fourth win in as many attempts against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
San Diego run of four consecutive titles in the AFC West could be in danger after a slow start. However, the Chargers (3-5) took a little life to a 33-25 victory over Tennessee on Sunday to take a series of three defeats.
The charger should not look too far back to see that they can recover from an 3-5 start. In 2008, they had three wins in halfway point, but continued until the end 8-8.
However, a .500 record not enough to reach the playoffs this season with Oakland 5-2 Kansas City 4-4 already ahead of them. Rivers had another outstanding game last weekend and it seems to emulate the success of the Houston team that ranks last in the NFL against the pass, giving up 299.4 yards per game. Rivers went 27 of 36 for 305 yards and two touchdowns against the Titans,Chargers rally to help a 19-14 deficit in half.
Rivers will lead to another major challenge for the Texans (4-3), trying to fall back on a short week after losing 30-17 to Peyton Manning and Indianapolis on Monday night.
The Texans were 0 for 6 in the third down in half and trailed 17-3 at halftime. Matt Schaub was dismissed three times and threw an interception that Houston fell to third place in the AFC South.

Just two weeks after being sent off the head coach Bill Belichick and New England Patriots, Randy Moss returned to Foxborough on Sunday, a member of the Minnesota Vikings.
Rumors have been rife about what they did the patriots to move the Pro Bowl receiver, especially given his good behavior during the past two years, and the playmaking ability they have. Anyway, Moss will be back on Sunday, and sure to get enough response from fans as he tries to help his new team back on track.
New team of Moss,lost two of their last three since they got their first win of the season and struggled to get going.
The strength of their schedule has obviously been a big part of why their last three opponents all the playoffs last year. Minnesota will not be many breaks in the rest of the way and must find a way out of the darkness of the controversy in Paris and back on track from this week.

In the first round, Dallas cowboys scored 10, where as NY Giants scored only 7. In the second round again cowboys scored 10, but this time NY giants scored 17 points.
At the end of the quarter, NY Giants were in leading position at 24 points and Dallas Cowboys were at 20. In the third quarter, NY Giants showed same tempo and score 14 points, where as Cowboys haven't score even a single point.
In the last round, cow boys did well and scored 15 points, but NY giants scored only 3 points.

The Ducks, who won the Pac-10 title in 2009 for the first time since 2001, exceeding both the Associated Press and USA Today coaches polls, but they are in second in the BCS rankings behind Oklahoma.

There are sixteen games to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday of the third round of the Champions League
The big game on Tuesday night sees two European giants clash at Bernabeu as Real Madrid host AC Milan a match in Group G. Real is now managed by former Inter boss Jose Mourinho under him, they have allowed only three goals in nine games this season.
They look great defensive side, in spite of AC Milan who rising to the second in Italian Serie A this weekend has a record of poor road so far this season, winning only one of their four games away.
On the other side with a good defensive record is Shakhtar Donetsk. They have conceded only two goals in their last seven matches in all competitions, and they travel to London as they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenals have scored twenty goals in their four wins and one defeat before their own fans. They have kept a clean sheet in only two of those five games.
On the one hand, not having such a good season so far is Manchester United. They have yet to win away from home in the Premier League, let slip a two goal lead against West Brom at the weekend. Wayne Rooney has refused to sign a new contract with the club leading to suggestions that will be sold in the January transfer window.
They welcomed the Turkish side Bursaspor at Old Trafford on Wednesday and will be very focused on a win to try to calm the form of noise last week. The English Premier League returns this weekend following the International break and we’re looking at the biggest matches happening plus providing you with our thoughts on where the best betting value lies at the sportsbooks.
The first game we’re looking at is the Merseyside Derby on Sunday afternoon as Everton host city rivals Liverpool at Goodison Park. This match is always a highly charged and fiery encounter, but with the off field problems that have plagued Liverpool and the poor starts that both sides have had on the field, we expect there to be more bite than usual in this one. Everton will be the more confident of the sides as they are playing at home and they picked up their first win of the season last time they played, while Liverpool were beaten at home by newly promoted Blackpool. Current form says that this game should be easy for Chelsea, especially as they beat Villa 7-1 near the end of last season and they have won six of their seven league matches this season. However, Chelsea have won only one of the last ten matches between them and Aston Villa played at Villa Park, so we don’t expect this to be one way traffic. This is another game we’re leaning towards the over market and we’re putting our money on over 2.5 goals at 1.78.
The final game we’re looking at sees title chasing Manchester United host newly promoted West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford. United are having lots of problems on the road this season and are yet to taste victory on the road, and their star striker Wayne Rooney is going through a goal drought. Despite this they have won all of their games at home and they have scored three goals in each game! West Brom will feel confident of getting something from the game due to the problems that United are having, especially as they won their last away game – away at Arsenal! However, West Brom have now beaten Manchester United since 1984 and we feel that things will stay this way for another match at least and we’re putting out money on a home win at 1.15.

Superstar of Miami Heat, LeBron James scored 22 points in 26 minutes in Tuesday’s exhibition match against CSKA Moscow, but in third quarter he left out due to contraction of his leg muscles.
It was just four minutes left for the third quarter; LeBron James left the court carefully catching his right back of the knee. After the 96-85 Miami victory, James said he was fine.
"I knew it was a cramp right off the bat," he said. "I've had them plenty of times so I knew what it was. I'm fine and I could be ready the next game if I needed to play."
The audience who were present at the American Airlines had already experienced a superstar who went down with an injury in the first preseason game. Now, it happened again in the second home competition.

Raiders have beaten Chargers in the fifth game of NFL Regular Season 2010. On Sunday, the game was kicked off at 4:15 PM.
During the initial phase of the game, Raiders played superbly with a gain of 12 points and Chargers did not score any point. But, Raiders could not balance themselves on the same track in the 2nd quarter. They just scored 3 points and Chargers scored 17 points.
If we observe the scores, then Chargers led the game over Raiders by the end of the first quarter. Both the teams accomplished 7 points in the 3rd quarter.
In the final quarter of the game, Raiders scored 13 points and Chargers could score just 3 points.
We congratulate Oakland Raiders for their victory and let’s wish them good luck for their upcoming match-ups.

This Friday and Saturday sees the third round of qualifying matches for the 2012 European Championship football tournament in Poland and the Ukraine. Many of Europe’s biggest sides are in action, but where are we putting our money this weekend?
The first game that we’re looking at sees Portugal as the odds on favourites to beat Denmark on Friday night. Do Portugal deserve their billing as favourites for this match? In our opinion, no chance! Portugal were beaten 3-2 in their World Cup qualifier at home to Denmark and secured a 1-1 draw in Denmark in the return leg, and at the World Cup they played four games and failed to score in three of them. Since the World Cup they have played two Euro 2012 qualifiers and have been beaten by Norway and drew 4-4 at home with Cyprus. I see them losing this match and we’re backing a Denmark win at odds of 5.68 at online sportsbooks.
Another team that had a poor World Cup was the 2006 World Cup winners, Italy and this Friday they take on Northern Ireland in Belfast. Both sides are undefeated in their opening European Championship qualifying matches, with Northern Ireland having upset the odds by beating Slovenia in their only game and Italy coming from behind to beat Estonia and then thumping the Faroe Islands 5-0. Since their poor showing in South Africa, Italy have replaced many of the older players in their squad and they are looking a better side that they have done since they won the World Cup and they will want to extend their winning run to three games. However, Northern Ireland are a difficult side and we’re leaning towards this game ending as a draw, which we’re backing at odds of 3.17.
Continuing with our theme of sides that did poorly at the World Cup, we now look at the France v Romania match. France were woeful in South Africa and scored just one goal in their three matches before being eliminated at the group stage and were beaten by both Mexico and South Africa. Things got worse for them too as they were beaten 1-0 at home by Belarus in their first European Championship qualifier. They also looked poor in their second game, but two late goals saw them win a competitive match for the first time November 2009 against Bosnia-Herzegovina. Romania has drawn both of their opening games Albania and Belarus, and the last three games between these two sides have ended level also. Because of these we’re backing the draw at odds of 3.31.

India won the first test match against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Mohali by one wicket. Zaheer Khan received Man of the match award for his eight wickets haul.
In this match, Sachin Tendulkar passed 1000 Test runs in a calendar year for the sixth time in his entire career.
VVS Laxman (73) give the historic victory to India with the help of tail enders, Ishant Sharma(31) and Pragyan Ojha and stayed as a not out batsman.
After the match Dhoni said, "This is one of the best matches I've played, this game was full of emotions."
He added, "We lost Ishant in the first innings, which meant we had to field just 3 bowlers. The bowlers did superbly to peg them back in the 2nd innings, we could have got the lead but we couldn't. Ishant showed a lot of character and VVS was very special always"
