But wait—your answer doesn’t necessarily determine whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert! It’s about so much more than your personality in one situation.
In this video, Anne and I shed light on how introvert and extrovert energy are expressed in my Energy Profiling system. Understanding how and why you move through life the way you do is one of the biggest gifts you can give yourself.

Video Transcript:
Carol: Are you an introvert or an extrovert? The answer may surprise you. Now, when I asked you that question, what did you use to assess your answer? Good chance you considered, what do I act like in social settings? Because I think most people have been taught and concluded that introvert, extrovert self-expressions are, how do you behave in social settings. You know, we have a whole different take on introvert, extrovert and the main takeaway is consider the energy profiling is a study of energy and movement. And so of course, we’re gonna to look at introvert and extrovert as qualities of movement. So Anne, give us the root meaning of intro and extro.
Anne: Intro and extro are both prefixes and intro means inward and extro means to go outward. So there’s the movement right there.
Carol: Yes. And so as I teach in energy profiling, type two and type four are introvert energies.
Anne: An inward movement.
Carol: Yes. And type one and type three are extrovert energies.
Anne: Outward movement.
Carol: Outward movement. And what this looks like is beyond social settings. It’s just, how do you engage with your day to day experience.
Anne: Beyond personality, a lot of the times yes definitely …
Carol: Beyond personality.
Anne: There’s always that question popping up in the energy profiling world, well I’m an introvert or an extrovert because I don’t like social situations or I like small groups of people. And so we define it differently in Dressing Your Truth.
Carol: Yes. And the way, it’s very simple, remember it’s movement. A type one and a type three will move forward. Their energy will move outward engaging them in action, moving forward and they’ll gather information as they go. I say type ones jump forward, type threes push forward. What happens with a type two and a type four?
Anne: Well it’d be the intro experience, type twos and type fours, they first move inward and then move forward. Like, the type twos kinda have this whoosh of a wave, that water feel, you move forward.
Carol: You get a feel for it, gather details. Where a type four will gather information, analytical.
Anne: Type fours is big picture, move forward. And this process can happen very quickly.
Carol: Very quickly.
Anne: It can even be subconscious, but there is that first response to move inward. And maybe this is a very conscious thing, depending on the situation. Sometimes it’s like, whoa, whoa, whoa, I’m moving inward, then I’m moving outward. But it’s always that initial outward or inward movement, with the one and three and the two and four.
Carol: So we really could say every person is both an introvert and an extrovert. Because, as I’m moving forward, I am processing inwardly. As I physically experience the world.
Anne: It’s kinda, what’s that first.
Carol: Yes, but first I…
Anne: [inaudible 00:03:15.288] define it.
Carol: Extrovert is first and then introvert happens while I’m moving. Yours, introvert happens first but then you extrovert yourself and you move forward. And then when we add your secondary energy where I am a three with secondary force, so I’m extrovert introvert. You’re a type two with secondary three, you’re an introvert extrovert. That really changes things up a bit, to say I have that experience of both.
Anne: Yes. And then like a four two, it would be the introvert introvert, that would be more of an inward process, which I think then that translates to social situations. But that’s only one area where that is being expressed.
Carol: Right. And a type one three combo or three one is double extrovert first. So they’re going to be just naturally more outward moving in many more settings in life. So it’s interesting, Anne and I have these extrovert introvert dominant secondary energies expressing. Of the two of us, who do you is more outgoing in social settings?
Anne: Me.
Carol: The answer may surprise you.
Anne: Yeah. Even compared to my type three husband, I’m more social. It’s something I enjoy connecting with people and while I’m doing it though, I’m very much like in my mind, is this conversation going well or I’ll go [inaudible 00:00:00] you know.
Carol: How are they feeling? Are they comfortable?
Anne: There’s that inward quality. More particularly with new people. With people I’m comfortable with and familiar with, there’s not as much processing at the time of course.
Carol: Let’s use the social setting of people you’re not with that often or people that are new. I’m not very outgoing.
Anne: No, you very much keep to yourself.
Carol: Yes. And you’re much more, you know, connecting with people.
Anne: And type ones of course will have a preference to not be as social and type fours can be very chatty. It just depends on the situation, their movement, what’s motivating them to connect with people.
Carol: How you’re feeling today. Now in a familiar group of people, I’m not always as outgoing as Anne either, just depends on the day, that I can be, if…it’s much more comfortable to me to be socially engaging with people I know well. I think we do these two references to our self-expression a disservice a bit when we just make them relative to social settings. So in the world of energy profiling, it’s a much broader look at how you move through life. It is that, do I move forward without having go with the end first, I just am able to move forward and then I process as I go or do I need to have that internal reference, whether it’s details, feelings, analysis, big picture. That’s really the correct assessment in the energy profiling world.
Anne: And that’s just one part of the entire assessment of what type you are.
Carol: Right. Don’t narrow it down to any one specific thing to say which type I am. Too often we take pieces out of it and I’ve heard just literally too many people make references to, well, I’m that type because of one thing. And I’m like that was one thing.
Anne: I think a lot of type ones in particular, because they would be kind of pegged as the most outgoing type in that they’re light, they’re bubbly, they’re maybe more socially…
Carol: There are more type ones that are more outgoing than any other type.
Anne: For sure.
Carol: For sure. We say the majority is in that particular type, they’re going to be more outgoing people, but nothing in energy profiling is a 100%. There are variables based on your background, your childhood influences, was it safe to be you.
Anne: Your secondary.
Carol: Yeah, are you timid in social settings because you weren’t supported as a child to be outgoing and you know, there’s just too many variables there.
Anne: Or supported in learning how to really, that’s something that I’ve had to practice even. So, if that hasn’t really been fostered or practiced, it might make you a little bit nervous in those certain situations.
Carol: You’ve been in many life situations that you’ve had to develop this ability to meet people, help them feel comfortable.
Anne: Carry a conversation.
Carol: Start conversation.
Anne: And there are a lot of times where I’d leave those conversations feeling like, oh, what have I said, what did I do? You know, a lot of that internalizing. We get that question a lot with type ones, are type ones all social? And so I think, especially for that group of type ones where there is kind of this picture of what it looks like, they can feel a sense of relief that, oh, that doesn’t mean I have to be the super social butterfly.
Carol: They’re the most likely though to respond very easily to someone chatting with them in a public setting.
Anne: That’s why I love my type one friends. They’re very easy to talk to.
Carol Yes. They’re very easy to talk to where that may throw off a type four or a type two may not feel as comfortable with that. So I don’t think we should reduce this down to social settings at all because all types have that variable as to whether they’re comfortable and outgoing in social settings. So remember, extrovert means your energy moves outward first. Introvert means your energy moves inward first. And if you’re overwriting that, you’re probably feeling stressed. So honoring your natural movement, whether it be extrovert or introvert, will allow you to feel more peace and ease in being you.
So share in a comment how this has helped you. Because I know this helps create some real ahas and gets rid of some old stereotypes that you may be living under because being your true self is a natural process that’s meant to be effortless.

At Dressing Your Truth, we believe trends should work for you, not the other way around!
This summer, we’re celebrating Powder Pink and Mocha Brown — two beautiful trends that, when chosen correctly for your Type, will effortlessly elevate your style.
Let’s walk through how each Type can rock these trending colors and a few tips for choosing the perfect tint, tone, shade, or icy tint for you.
For Type 1 women, your natural energy is buoyant, animated, and fresh. So when you’re looking at Powder Pink, you want a light, lively version — think airy, bright pink with a cheerful pop. It’s a color you probably already love wearing!
When it comes to Mocha Brown, it’s important to choose a crisp, medium-light brown — not too heavy, not too dark. Classic rich mocha shades are too weighty for your bright energy. A crisp brown in pants, skirts, or even a playful pattern can be a fantastic way to ground your outfits without losing your lightness.
Tip for Type 1s: Look for Powder Pink that feels fresh and sweet — not muted or dusty — and pick Browns that feel bight and crisp.
For Type 2 women, everything about your energy is flowing, soft, and connected. Your Powder Pink should have a gentle, slightly muted tone — think of a pink that’s almost romantic, with a soft wash over it. Nothing too bright or harsh.
Your Mocha Brown should also reflect this softness. A beautiful, muted mocha — not too dark, and definitely not too rich — will blend perfectly with your natural grace. Whether it’s a pair of pants, a flowing skirt, or a soft sweater, look for browns that feel blended and cozy.
Tip for Type 2s: Choose Powder Pinks and Mocha Browns that feel soothing and calming, with a slightly dusty or muted quality.
Type 3 women bring a dynamic, rich energy to everything they do. You need colors that match your substantial and textured nature. For Powder Pink, you’ll want a deeper, more “dirty” version — a pink with a little more warmth and richness.
Mocha Brown is a natural fit for Type 3s! This is where you can go for a rich, true mocha brown — earthy, deep, and grounding. Whether in jeans, colored pants, or textured skirts, this deeper brown anchors your dynamic energy beautifully.
Tip for Type 3s: Embrace deeper, richer versions of these colors. Look for Mocha Brown that’s earthy and strong, and Powder Pinks that carry a little more weight and depth.
Type 4 women embody precision, clarity, and boldness. Your version of Powder Pink should be a pure, cool, icy pink — nothing faded or muted. Think clean, almost icy pink, with a sophisticated edge.
When it comes to Mocha Brown, this one’s not for us. But there are other great colors to complement your Power Pink.. Try black, white, icy burgundy, or a clean “nude” for your skin tone.
Tip for Type 4s: Select Powder Pinks that feel refined, polished, and clear. Stay away from anything blended or muted.
When you choose the correct tints, tones, shades, or hues of trending colors like Powder Pink and Mocha Brown, you don’t just wear the trend — you own it.

As women, we dream of finding the perfect pair of jeans.
We think, “They must be out there somewhere in the world, right?” It would feel so good to slip into those jeans and know you can walk with total confidence.
Great news: It’s 100% possible. We’ve found a tried-and-true method of helping every woman find her dream jeans.
Ready? Let’s find your perfect pair.
The secret is to match your jeans to your Energy Profile. A pair of jeans should fit like a second skin and match your individual form of personal energy. When you know which Type of woman you are, everything else unfolds naturally from there.
Above all else, your jeans must make you look and feel great. Your perfect jeans are comfortable, flattering, and always feel like a warm hug from your best friend.
If you’ve ever felt a bit frustrated by shopping for jeans, you’re not alone. The average American woman owns seven pairs of jeans but is only happy with one or two of them. She’s spent hours shopping, with little to show for it.
To improve your odds of finding the right pair, here’s a quick education on the three basic characteristics of jeans: rise, fit, and wash.
Low-Rise: Low-rise jeans have the thinnest waist in terms of height above the hip. The top of the jeans sits at or below the hip, far below the belly button.
Mid-Rise: Mid-rise jeans sit between the hips and the belly button, giving more support to the midsection than low-rise jeans can offer. This prevents the dreaded muffin top.
High-Rise: High-rise jeans extend close to the belly button, creating a large expanse of fabric between the hip and the waist. They provide maximum support around the waist and can give the look of long legs.
Boyfriend Jeans: Boyfriend jeans are women’s jeans that resemble the look of men’s jeans. They have the silhouette of skinny jeans, but with an overall looser and more relaxed fit.
Straight Leg: A straight leg jean is the same width from the knee to the leg opening and gives a long, lean look. They do not taper in at all from the knee to the ankle.
Bootcut: As their name implies, bootcut jeans were designed to accommodate boots. They’re a bit more narrow at the knee than they are at the leg opening, and are a basic fit that has been in style for decades.
Flare: Flare jeans are a type of wide-leg jeans that are narrower at the knee, then flare out as they flow down to the ankle. A true flare-leg jean has at least a twenty-inch leg opening.
Skinny: Skinny jeans have a slim fit that runs closely along the body with no extra or flowing fabric. From the knee down, they taper in and wrap closely along the calf and ankle, usually ending at or above the ankle.
Wide Leg: Wide leg jeans are cut straight from the hip and continue in a loose, roomy silhouette all the way to the hem. Unlike flares or bootcuts, they maintain the same wide shape throughout, creating a flowing, relaxed fit.
Dark Wash: Dark wash jeans are either black, dark grey, or the darkest indigo blue denim. In a dark wash, there is typically no fading or distressing on the jeans and they are a solid, dark color.
Light to Medium Wash: Light and medium wash jeans come in a variety of denim washes that give an overall mid-tone look. They may be white, light blue, distressed blue, or medium blue or grey denim.
Colored Denim: Colored jeans come in a solid color in a tone like yellow, green, red, pink, or purple.
Knowing your Energy Type is extremely important when it comes to picking your perfect jeans. With the help of four friends – Hilary, Amy, Christine, and Sherri – we can find your ideal denim.
A Type 1 woman like Hilary needs jeans with a lighter wash that matches her light movement and bright personality. She’s very animated and doesn’t want any extra fabric to weigh her down.
That’s why these lightweight blue jeans with a light distressing are the perfect look for Hilary. The lines are crisp and form-fitting with dainty bottom hems.
When you’re a Type 1 woman, your light steps shouldn’t be slowed down by heavy hardware and embellishments. At most, a few small touches on the back pockets add some zing.
A Type 2 woman like Amy is known for her soft, subtle wit and forgiving personality. In the same way, her jeans should be very soft and pliable.
Amy looks terrific in fitted but forgiving jeans in a blue or grey wash with muted top-stitching. The fabric has some stretch that comes from a denim blend with a bit of Spandex or Lycra.
Flexible jeans look and feel best with about 20% to 40% stretch range. Try on stretchy jeans, and you’ll immediately feel the difference. Raw 100% cotton jeans will feel quite scratchy and stiff by contrast.
Low-contrast buttons and embellishments, along with blended hardware, set off Amy’s graceful and flowing style. See how these jeans suit her energy so much better than a pair of stiff, straight jeans would?
Dynamic and determined, Christine’s wardrobe is full of rich, textured fabrics that compliment her vigorous personality. As a Type 3 woman, Christine needs denim that offers substantial weight, styling, and texture to match her energy. Grainy, dirty-washed and dark-washed jeans look great on her.
Christine’s energy can easily handle some heavy hardware, so she feels just-right in jeans that are wrapped in edgy brassy or gold embellishments. Studs and gold stitching really suit her style.
A Type 3 woman may find herself attracted to jeans with sleek design line angles. She can pull off a boot-cut or slim fit look with ease, but wide-leg flared jeans just don’t suit her energy.
Sherri is a Type 4 woman who is sophisticated, precise, and wants to have some fun with fashion. She looks fantastic in a tailored, sleek pair of jeans with clean and simple design lines.
For this look, the color can be fully saturated denim in a variety of solid hues. In fact, her jeans should be totally free of fading or washes that would distract from her bold look.
In terms of topstitching, she should go one direction or the other: either high contrast or no contrast at all. Her jeans will complement her bold blouses and high-fashion accessories.
Now that you know your Type of beauty and Energy Profile, you can start shopping for jeans with purpose and confidence. Here are our top tips for finding the best jeans every time.
We’ve seen women experience stunning before-and-afters that truly transform their view of wearing jeans. Maybe they just needed a darker wash, a higher waistband, or a bit of stretch denim. Maybe they just needed a break from mom jeans.
Sometimes women who were wearing slouchy, baggy jeans discover a love for skinny jeans. (No joke – It happens!) And women who have never felt comfortable in jeans suddenly experience the pleasure of a perfect plus-size hourglass fit.
What changed for these women? Now they’re dressing according to their Energy Type, not their body shape or fleeting trends. It makes all the difference in the world.
Don’t give up on finding the perfect pair of jeans! They’re out there. When you’re Dressing Your Truth, buying jeans is a fun and transformative experience.

While structure and polish are always on-brand for a Type 4, she played with romanticism and statement sleeves in a way that felt elevated and modern. Her looks featured icy pinks, sleek Ponte pants, and bold, contrasting patterns—especially a unique check-and-stripe combo sweater that nailed the stripe trend.
Her jewelry choices balanced clean lines with soft sophistication—think smooth silver teardrops, structured box chains, and elegant pearls. For makeup, Kalista embraced the one-shadow trend, using After Hours to create depth with just a single color. A brown lip (Alexa) pulled everything together with minimalist impact and timeless appeal.

We had an unforgettable session during our latest Style School Hair Live, welcoming back the ever-talented Emily—longtime friend, expert stylist, and one of the original team members behind Dressing Your Truth. For those who’ve followed us since the early days of our salon and retail space, you’ll remember Emily’s transformative work with countless women over the years. And today, she’s still working her magic—only now, she’s bringing two decades of professional hairstyling experience infused with the insight of Energy Profiling.
In this event, Emily joined Anne in studio for a joyful, in-depth look at this season’s most wearable hair trends. From face-framing layers to lived-in color, they broke down what’s working right now and how to make these trends your own—based on your Type and lifestyle. The session also featured live consultations with real women from each of the four Types, giving the community a front-row seat to personal, transformative suggestions.
Let’s dive into the highlights from the event.
Emily discovered Dressing Your Truth as a working stylist and quickly saw its impact—both personally and professionally. As a Type 1 with a secondary Type 2, she brings a light, optimistic energy into the salon, paired with thoughtfulness and sensitivity that helps her clients feel seen and supported. Her approach? Co-creation. Emily emphasizes working alongside each woman to craft a style that reflects not only her physical features but also her personality and preferences.
“I bring my skill and expertise, but also create a space where clients feel empowered to contribute to the vision. It’s a win-win. I get to hang out with amazing women and help them feel beautiful.”
Emily and Anne kicked off the live session by reviewing the four hair trends featured in our recent Style School seasonal guide. These trends are stylish, approachable, and easy to tailor to every Type.
These soft, strategic layers bring movement around the face and suit all hair lengths and textures. Whether you’re adding a fringe or subtle shaping, this trend is incredibly versatile.
“They create support for shape and style,” Emily shared. “It’s one of those trends anyone can adapt—no matter their cut or hair type.”
Think soft, imperfect curls with a lived-in finish. This relaxed texture gives a natural, effortless vibe and works great for Type 1s and 2s, but can be adapted beautifully for all Types.
“It’s about embracing variety and texture—less polished, more organic,” said Emily.
Not a haircut, but a style statement! These playful updos leave a few romantic tendrils loose, adding softness and dimension. Perfect for warm days or a fresh change without a big commitment.
“This is where face-framing layers come in again—adding lightness and shape even when hair is pulled up,” Anne noted.
Natural-looking, low-maintenance hair color is in. Think softer roots, more blended highlights, and color that grows out gracefully. It’s all about enhancing what you already have.
“Whether it’s demi-permanent color, finer weaves, or dropped highlights, this trend honors your natural tones with less upkeep,” Emily explained.
In one of the most beloved segments, Emily gave personalized hair consultations to four guests—each representing a different Type. These moments showed how applying trends and tailoring them to Energy Types creates results that are not only beautiful, but deeply authentic.
Mariah, from Oklahoma, was stuck in a limbo between long and short hair. Her thick hair often ends up in a bun, hiding its beauty. Emily recommended face-framing layers and soft fairy waves to reintroduce movement and bring attention back to her joyful Type 1 energy.
“You’ve done the hard part—growing it out,” said Emily. “Now it’s time to make it work for you, not against you.”
Leslie’s fine, thinning hair lacked the movement and fullness she wanted. Emily suggested lifting her length slightly and incorporating airy, soft layers and curtain bangs to create gentle structure around her face.
“Sometimes less length gives the illusion of more fullness,” Emily explained, “especially with fine textures.”
Dynamic and expressive, Shawni was ready for something fun—but was tired of stylists giving her generic cuts. Emily introduced textured, layered looks with piecey fringe to add movement, edge, and volume, honoring both her Type 3 intensity and Type 2 softness.
“You want that rockstar edge with a soft touch,” Emily noted. “Let’s bring that personality out!”
After 16 years with a classic bob, Valerie wanted a change. Emily proposed a “Bixie”—a bob-meets-pixie cut—to bring structure, statement, and movement without losing the sophistication Type 4s crave.
“This look adds visual interest while keeping the clean lines you love,” Emily said.
The live session wrapped with quick tips on:

Whether you’re ready to refresh your look, refine your secondary Type, or try something totally new, this season’s Style Coaching call is packed with inspiration and insight. I had the pleasure of working with eight Lifestyle women—two of each Type—to help them identify their secondary Type and personalize this season’s trends. We looked at what works and why, from bold prints to powder pink.
Style School isn’t about being trendy—it’s about being true to your Type.
Let’s be clear: Style ≠ Trend. Trends change. Style is who you are. We teach you how to take spring/summer trends and adapt them to your Type and lifestyle so you feel confident and beautiful. That’s the power of the DYT system.
A trend is what’s in. A style is what’s you.
This season, we’re seeing trends like mocha brown, powder pink, maximalism, romanticism, statement jewelry, and bold stripes. But how do those work with your Type? That’s what Style School is here for. You’ll see real examples from our guests of how trends can support—not overtake—your personal style.
I kicked off the call in a soft pink dress, stacked jewelry, and mono-shadow makeup—playing with the romanticism and quiet luxury trends while staying true to my Type 3/4. From there, we moved quickly through eight guests, offering insight, encouragement, and trend-based outfit ideas for each one.
(3:14) Meaghan – 1/4, wanted confirmation of her secondary—and she got it! Her bold prints, clean lines, and simplified accessories confirmed her as a 1/4. We showed her how romanticism, mocha brown, and powder pink can all come together in a structured yet playful look.
(7:19) Stefanie – 1/3, sparkled with personality and a closet full of jean jackets (10 of them!). Her love of movement and bold patterns confirmed her as a 1/3. Her outfit incorporated vertical stripes, wedge heels, and statement earrings—a perfect match for her fun and sassy side.
(16:06) Mary – 2/3, had been dressing in dark tones but was ready to explore something lighter. Her love for texture and substantial accessories confirmed her as a 2/3. We gave her a soft yet structured outfit with statement sleeves and jewelry, showing her how romanticism can work with her strength.
(21:10) Halli – 2/4, radiated calm, soft energy—and looked stunning in monochromatic styles. She confirmed her secondary as a 2/4. We styled her in a mocha/powder pink combo with delicate stripes and statement jewelry that’s still and placed, just like her.
(34:20) Janet – 3/4, has been stepping up her style in a big way—and it shows! With her structured looks and sleek hairstyle, she’s clearly a 3/4. We styled her in a lace-trimmed mocha outfit that balances edge and elegance, and it’s clear she’s found her stride.
(40:40) Audrey – 3/2, had everyone guessing 3/1, but her fluid movement and outfit variety pointed to a 3/2. We paired her bold cardigan with softer, solid pieces to match her energy. Her look proved that type 3 doesn’t have to be loud—it can be purposefully soft and dynamic.
(46:44) Amelia – 4/1, used to hide in solids, but her love for movement and playful patterns declared her a 4/1. We gave her a bold floral top and deep denim to try something new—with a challenge to try a bold lip! The look brought out her beauty and confidence.

Part of getting rid of them is understanding what causes them in the first place:
And I’ve got tips to help you get the root of those issues so you can treat these issues without spending money on expensive procedures.
(0:21) – 1. Reducing sugar. I know you’re probably tired of hearing me talk about this, but it makes such a difference in your skin health! Sugar is inflammatory, plain and simple. Does giving up sugar feel impossible? I used to think so too. The first step in letting go of sugar is maintaining adequate hydration with a quilty electrolyte.
(1:40) – 2. Jade Rolling. The Anti-aging Skincare Line that I offer is incredibly effective and gentle. One of the products I love to use for puffiness around my eyes is the Jade Roller.
(3:03) – 3. Eye Corrector Serum. I use this alongside the Jade Roller and wow—what a difference. Just put a few gentle dabs of the Eye Corrector Serum under and around your eyes, and then use the small part of the roller as I show you in this video.
(5:22) – 4. Bonus Tip: Have you considered stress? This could be another layer for you, and it’s worth looking into. Are you making choices that are incorrect for you? That are causing you to be unhealthy? If so, I highly recommend getting involved with my Healing Center to help you unblock and release that stuck energy that’s keeping you self-sabotaging in cycles.
It’s easier than you think. I’m a woman of practicality and simplicity, but I used to have so many products for my skin. My brand new line only has 5, and I know you’re going to love them!

Your personal style is more than just clothing—makeup and hair are powerful ways to express your fun, fresh energy! This season’s trends bring softness, movement, and effortless beauty while still feeling playful and light.
I’m Jaleah, your Type 1 Expert, and I’ll show you how to take these trends and make them totally Type 1! I’ll break down each trend, explain how to adapt it for your Type, and share tips for secondary Types.
As a Type 1, we love possibilities; these trends give you plenty of room to play! Lean into what excites you, and go lighter on anything that feels too heavy—I’ll help you find the perfect balance. Let’s jump in!
Brown-toned lips continue to be a go-to choice, offering a timeless, natural look that enhances your features without overpowering them. This color is effortlessly flattering across skin tones, making it a perfect everyday staple or an elegant, understated statement. Whether you prefer a sheer, barely-there tint or a more defined matte finish, mocha lips bring a soft, polished touch to any makeup look.
Not naturally. Mocha lips lean grounded, muted, and sophisticated, which aligns more with Types 2, 3, and 4. For a Type 1 woman, whose energy is animated, bright, and upward, mocha tones can feel too heavy or flat if not adapted thoughtfully.
Choose a sheer or glossy mocha tint—think milk chocolate with a hint of shimmer or peachy-brown undertones—and layer it with a brighter lip liner or gloss to keep the energy buoyant and lively. Look for words like “glow,” “shine,” or “radiance” on the label, and avoid anything labeled matte or ultra-pigmented unless you’re blending it with something brighter. Balance the look with a brightening blush or a pop of color in your accessories.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Light, Playful
Say goodbye to complicated eyeshadow looks! The one-and-done trend is all about applying a single shade across the lid for a quick, polished finish. Whether you go for a soft matte, a wash of shimmer, or an easy-to-apply color stick, this trend enhances your eyes with minimal effort. It’s simple, modern, and perfect for everyday wear!
Yes—with a twist. The “effortless” part fits a Type 1 woman’s light, carefree approach to beauty. But the “chic” and often neutral-toned execution of this trend can lean a little too understated if it’s not done in a Type 1 way.
For Type 1, it’s all about fresh color, sparkle, and movement—this trend shines when it’s kept light and bright. Opt for playful pastels, airy shimmers, or soft champagne tones in creamy textures or light-reflective finishes that add a touch of bounce or twinkle to the eye. Keep the application fun and spontaneous with a wash of color that isn’t heavy or overly defined.
Bonus tip: Try a pop of unexpected color like soft mint, peach, or petal pink for that extra cheerful touch!
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Light, Sparkly
Brown mascara and eyeliner are finally having their moment! (For many of us, this trend is just catching up!) Many women in the Dressing Your Truth community made the switch to brown mascara years ago after learning that black wasn’t the best fit for their Energy Type. Now, the beauty world is embracing what we already knew—softer definition creates a more natural, flattering look! Whether you prefer warm chocolate tones, subtle taupes, or even colorful mascara for a fun twist, this trend keeps your makeup fresh and effortless while complementing all eye colors.
Type 1s can absolutely embrace this trend—it just needs to match your naturally animated energy. Brown is a neutral that works beautifully for Type 1s, especially when it’s light, warm, or golden-toned. The key is choosing a version of this trend that feels bright, fresh, and uplifting, rather than heavy or muted. Choose mascara formulas that are soft, glossy, or defining rather than heavy or matte. A flick of light brown liner adds lift and definition without weighing down your features, and a touch of shimmer or a bright inner-corner highlight keeps the look lively and sparkling.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Light, Fresh
This season’s hair trends are all about soft, natural, and airy movement, bringing an effortless elegance to every style. From face-framing layers and fairy waves to princess updos and lived-in color, these trends lean into a light, blended, and feminine feel—aligning more naturally with Type 2 energy, with a touch of Type 1 freshness. But don’t worry, I’ve got tips on how to bring defined structure to these trends so they work for you, too.
Face-framing layers are a go-to trend for 2025, adding movement, dimension, and a flattering touch to any hairstyle. These layers enhance natural beauty by softly contouring the face, whether styled sleek, tousled, or voluminous. The best part? This trend is adaptable to all hair lengths and textures, making it a versatile update for any Energy Type!
Face-framing layers can work for Type 1s—with a few fun tweaks. While the soft, draped style can feel too muted, it’s easy to personalize with bouncy, airy layers that add movement and lightness. Ask for shorter layers that flick out or curve gently, and avoid anything too long or blended. Style with a side part, curtain bang, or a little tousled texture, and use volumizing or shine-enhancing products to keep the look fresh and animated.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Bouncy, Playful
Fairy waves bring a whimsical, effortless feel to hair with soft, natural-looking waves that add movement and dimension. Unlike structured curls, this trend embraces an airy, undone look—perfect for creating a light, dreamy, and romantic vibe. Whether worn loose, half-up, or with delicate accessories, fairy waves offer a versatile and flattering style for all Energy Types!
Not naturally—but easily adaptable. Fairy waves can feel too soft or “settled” for Type 1 energy, which is bright, upward, and animated. But with the right tweaks, you can turn this trend into something fun and radiant.
To make fairy waves work, keep them light, bouncy, and full of movement. Use a curling wand or flat iron to create loose, varied waves—leaving the ends out for a playful finish. Flip your part, tousle the roots, and add shine spray or texturizer for added lift. Top it off with a fun accessory like a headband or clip for that extra pop of personality. Aim for breezy and spontaneous—not overly styled.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Airy, Animated
The princess updo is all about soft volume, delicate tendrils, and an effortlessly regal feel. This style creates a romantic, elevated look with a loose, voluminous bun and gently face-framing pieces. Whether worn for a special occasion or as an everyday polished style, this updo adds an air of elegance while staying light and wearable.
Not by default—but with the right tweaks, a princess updo can totally work for Type 1s. While the style is naturally soft and elegant, it can feel too subdued without some lighthearted energy. Add playful details, and it becomes a sweet way to show your animated side.
Keep it light and fun—go for loose volume over tight shapes, and pull a few curled pieces around your face for bounce. Add a bow, pearl pin, or floral clip for personality, or try a half-up version for a more casual feel. Keep the texture soft and whimsical—nothing too slick or sculpted. It’s your fairytale moment—just make it spontaneous and sweet.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Whimsical, Light
This season’s hair color is all about subtle, natural-looking dimension with techniques like airy-lights, micro-lights, and soft browns for a low-maintenance, sun-kissed effect. Instead of bold contrast, this trend enhances your natural shade with seamless blending. Even gray blending is in—using micro-lights to softly integrate gray without fully covering it. The result? A fresh, effortless look that grows out beautifully!
Not automatically. Lived-in color trends often lean muted or earthy, which can feel dull on a Type 1. But with the right lift, tone, and playfulness, this trend can work beautifully for your fun-loving energy.
Keep your color bright, fresh, and full of dimension—think honey, buttery blonde, strawberry, or light caramel. If going darker, choose golden browns over deep or ashy tones. Face-framing highlights bring light near your eyes and keep the look uplifting. Avoid overly matte tones, and go for soft contrast like a root melt or brightened ends. Your color should feel like it’s catching the light—cheerful, airy, and never too heavy.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Bright, Fresh

I’m Carol, your Type 3 Expert, and I’ll show you how to take these trends and make them work for your expressive, high-energy style. I’ll break down each trend, share how to adapt it for Type 3, and offer tips for secondary Types to personalize the look even more.

Go for a deeper mocha or warm terracotta with a rich, velvety or softly matte finish. A dabbed-on, lived-in look adds extra movement and edge.
All Type 3 secondaries can make this work. A Type 3/1 and 3/2 might want something lighter and softer, so try a lip liner with a gloss, or lighter or softer lipstick color. A Type 3/4 can really go the full spectrum of light to darker.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Naturally Dynamic
We are all about the one and done! Go for rich bronzes, warm terracotta, or deep copper shades with a textured or metallic finish. A slightly smudged effect adds extra movement and depth.
This trend works equally well for all Type 3 secondaries.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Rich, Easy
Yes, we were way ahead of this trend!
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Natural, Warm
Go for textured, high-energy layers with more depth and movement. Choppy, angled cuts or tousled waves add an element of boldness and action.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Textured, Moving

Unlike structured curls, this trend embraces an airy, undone look—perfect for creating a light, dreamy, and romantic vibe. Whether worn loose, half-up, or with delicate accessories, fairy waves offer a versatile and flattering style for all Energy Types!
Opt for textured, tousled waves with more depth and movement. A layered cut or slightly messy styling adds energy and an undone, lived-in feel.
You can really have any haircut with this trend, it’s all about adding the wave to your current cut. It can be as easy as using a flat iron to create the textured wave that will look great for all Type 3 secondaries.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Tousled, Whimsical
Opt for a textured, voluminous updo with height and movement. A messy bun with a few bold, face-framing strands keeps the look energetic and strong.
More than secondary considerations, hair length is the biggest consideration here. So, I say if you have hair long enough, try this trend. And as a Type 3, you may not have the patience to fuss with this trend, so try using a large butterfly or claw clip to create the look.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Voluminous, Textured
This season’s hair color is all about subtle, natural-looking dimension with techniques like airy-lights, micro-lights, and soft browns for a low-maintenance, sun-kissed effect. Your personal style isn’t just about clothing—your hair and makeup should reflect your striking, polished energy too! This season’s trends bring clean lines, refined color choices, and precise details, making them a natural fit for Type 4s.
I’m Kalista, your Type 4 Expert, and I’ll show you how to take these trends and make them work for your bold, still, and sophisticated style. I’ll break down each trend, explain how to refine it for Type 4, and offer tips for secondary Types to personalize the look even more.
These trends are all about elevated simplicity and intentional beauty—embrace what feels powerful, refine what feels too undone, and create a look that’s perfectly you. Let’s dive in!
Stick to a cool, classic mocha with a precise, polished application. A matte or satin formula keeps the look clean, structured, and intentional. You want it to feel deliberate, not smudged or diffused.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Defined, Cool
Icy and neutral hues work well for this trend. Opt for sleek options such as cool orange, shimmering neutral, or pink. Select a smooth, high-pigment formula (cream stick, or pressed shadow) for a bold, clean finish that lasts. Apply with precision, utilizing a medium-sized brush for a controlled swipe of color. The application should feel precise and intentional, not smudgy or overly blended. The Color Sticks are an excellent choice for this trend—they provide vivid color in one simple step and can be used on lips and cheeks for a streamlined routine.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Minimal, Clean
Brown mascara and eyeliner are finally having their moment! (For Types 1-3, this trend is just catching up!) Many women in the Dressing Your Truth community made the switch to brown mascara years ago after learning that black wasn’t the best fit for their Energy Type. Now, the beauty world is embracing what we already knew—softer definition creates a more natural, flattering look! Whether you prefer warm chocolate tones, subtle taupes, or even colorful mascara for a fun twist, this trend keeps your makeup fresh and effortless while complementing all eye colors.
Not really. While brown mascara and liner are trending, Type 4s don’t wear brown—it softens and dulls the naturally bold, contrasting energy you express. Instead, stay true to your clear, striking essence with classic black or even navy or deep purple for a refined twist that still honors your boldness. For Type 4s, the goal is defined, clean contrast. Skip the softness and go for precision and power.
To create a “brown” liner, apply an icy burgundy eyeshadow with a wet liner brush as an eyeliner.
Any secondary Type considerations?
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Saturated, Precision
Yes—with the right approach. Face-framing layers can absolutely work for Type 4, as long as they maintain structure, balance, and refinement. Rather than soft or choppy layers, go for precise, symmetrical cuts that create clean lines and a polished shape. A sharp middle part or sleek styling elevates the overall look, emphasizing your bold, striking features. Avoid wispy or heavily textured layers—they disrupt the stillness and strength of your Type 4 beauty.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Structured, Sleek
With the right styling—yes.
Fairy waves naturally lean whimsical and undone, which doesn’t fully align with Type 4’s refined and structured energy. But when you bring in control, symmetry, and polish, you can absolutely make this trend your own. Choose defined, uniform waves that feel intentional and balanced. Use a precision tool to shape the waves and finish with sleek, polished ends—not frizz or flyaways. A clean middle part reinforces the stillness and structure of your Type 4 nature, creating a look that’s both romantic and elevated.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Intentional, Exact
Yes—when it’s clean and intentional.
While the traditional “princess updo” leans romantic and soft, you can absolutely make it work as a Type 4 by focusing on structure, symmetry, and polish. Go for a sleek, refined bun with a defined shape—think smooth surfaces, clean lines, and minimal volume. If you include face-framing tendrils, ensure they’re precisely placed and polished, not wispy or random. A center part or low bun adds a modern, regal edge, matching your bold and elegant energy.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Regal, Composed
Yes —but in a way that might surprise you.
At first look this trend seems leans soft, subtle, and low-contrast—qualities that don’t naturally align with Type 4’s high-contrast, bold energy. But, although it might seems counterintuitive, blended highlights with low-contrast can give the more natural appearance of even all-over color.
To achieve this, focus on clear, cool tones and refined contrast rather than warmth or blended softness. You can still have natural dimension, but it should feel precise and intentional, not “lived-in” or diffused.
If you’re embracing gray, let it grow in with purpose. A clean salt-and-pepper contrast or a sharp silver tone can look stunning and powerful on a Type 4. Avoid soft brown tones or overly blended highlights—these can dull your energy. Instead, choose a classic, well-maintained color with clean lines and polished shine.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Cool-toned, Balanced

This season’s fashion is embracing softness, flow, and effortless beauty—a perfect match for Type 2s! With romantic sheer fabrics, delicate pastels, cascading jewelry, and gentle stripes, the trends bring a graceful, feminine, and dreamy feel to your wardrobe.
I’m Anne, your Type 2 Expert, and I’ll guide you through 7 key spring/summer trends—explaining which naturally align with Type 2 energy and how to adjust others to fit your soft, blended movement. Plus, I’ll share tips for secondary Types to make each trend even more personal.
As you explore, don’t forget to check out the shoppable images—just click to find pieces that bring these trends to life! Use this as a guide to create outfits that feel beautifully YOU. Fashion should feel effortless—so let’s make these trends work for you, not the other way around!
Move over, minimalism—this season is all about bold, expressive, and abundant fashion! Maximalism encourages creativity, from vibrant prints and rich textures to layered accessories and statement details. It’s a celebration of more—more color, more pattern, and more personality. Whether you’re mixing bold prints, upcycling with decorative patches, or stacking statement jewelry, this trend invites you to have fun with fashion! If you love making a statement, this trend is for you!
At first this trend feels too much for Type 2, but maximalism doesn’t have to be overwhelming—bring it into your style with thoughtful combinations. Try mixing patterns, adding embroidered details, and combining textures. Choose a harmonious color palette to maintain a sense of gentle movement.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Detailed, Softened
The Romanticism trend brings an ethereal, feminine touch to fashion with soft, flowing fabrics and delicate details. Sheer chiffon, lace, and tulle create an airy, whimsical feel, whether in dreamy dresses, tunics, or skirts. Pastel shades like baby pink, pistachio, and butter yellow add to the gentle aesthetic. The boho chic influence shows up in slouchy silhouettes, layered textures, and intricate lace accents. This trend is all about embracing softness, movement, and an effortlessly romantic vibe.
This trend was made for you! Flowing fabrics, delicate lace, and soft pastels perfectly complement your gentle movement. Choose layered silhouettes, ruched details, and watercolor floral prints to enhance your naturally romantic style.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Elegant, Flowing
Say hello to the straight skinny—a slimmer pant leg that isn’t skin-tight but still gives a sleek, streamlined look. While this style is making a comeback, fashion in 2025 is all about options—wide legs, relaxed fits, and everything in between are still in. Whether you love a tailored silhouette or a looser vibe, there’s no one-size-fits-all rule this season. The key is finding the pant style that flatters you and fits effortlessly into your wardrobe.
With so many styles trending, there’s something for everyone—every Type and every body type! When it comes to jeans, my biggest tip as a Type 2 is to choose pairs with stretch. Comfort is key! Look for jeans that move with you and won’t ride up when you sit—nothing is worse than that. Check the tag for elastic/spandex in the fabric blend to ensure flexibility. For color, opt for soft, blended washes in shades from light to dark denim and even gray for a naturally cohesive look.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Comfort, Fluid
This season, it’s all about the sleeves! From balloon sleeves to ruffles and intricate details, statement sleeves add flair and movement to any outfit. Whether you prefer a subtle puff or a dramatic oversized silhouette, this trend is a fun way to express your style. With warmer weather ahead, it’s the perfect time to let your sleeves shine—think breezy blouses, lightweight tops, and flowy dresses with eye-catching sleeve details.
With so many variations, statement sleeves are a beautiful choice for Type 2s! They add soft, detailed beauty to an otherwise simple top. Opt for gently draped sleeves with soft gathers or cascading ruffles. A subtle puff sleeve or lace-trimmed detail enhances your graceful movement with a romantic, flowing touch. Just be sure to avoid stiff or oversized sleeves that can feel overwhelming. The first time I tried a statement sleeve, I felt a little silly. Even though it checked all the Type 2 boxes, it was outside my comfort zone. But I ended up loving it—and now I own several! If you haven’t tried this trend yet, consider this your invitation to give it a go!
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Romantic, Subtle
Stripes are having a major moment, and this season, it’s all about layering them! From thick to thin, vertical to diagonal—mixing multiple stripe patterns in one outfit is the ultimate fashion-forward statement. This maximalist take on stripes is fun, expressive, and a celebration of bold pattern play. But don’t worry—you don’t have to go all-in on head-to-toe stripes to enjoy this trend. Whether you mix and match or keep it classic with a single striped piece, there’s a way to make it work for you!
Does this trend favor Type 2 and how to make it work?
Stripes are straight lines, while Type 2s are all about soft, flowing s-curves. So how can you make stripes work for you? Choose stripes in muted tones that are close in contrast and stick to medium or small stripe sizes. Avoid bold, large rugby stripes, as they can feel too rigid and overpower your natural flow. A good rule of thumb is: the wider the stripe the lower the contrast. To soften the look, opt for textured fabrics that add a natural softness to the stripes. Pairing stripes together can be tricky without going overboard, but if you want to try it, go for a blended pinstripe pant paired with a medium-striped top for balance. Use your Pattern Guides to help you find the perfect Type 2 stripes.
Any secondary Type considerations?
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Blended, Low-Contrast
This season’s color palette is all about warm mocha and soft powder pink—a perfect blend of richness and delicacy. Mocha Mousse, the Pantone Color of the Year, is a versatile medium brown that adds warmth and depth, while powder pink brings a soft, airy touch. Whether worn separately or paired together, these shades create a balanced, sophisticated look that works across styles and Energy Types.
Mocha is a strong, earthy color that naturally aligns with Type 3 energy. However, to make it more Type 2-friendly, simply soften it by adding a bit more milk to the mocha, creating a softened, more balanced tone that complements your natural softness. Use your Style Guides for help finding the perfect Type 2 mocha brown.
Any secondary Type considerations?
No matter your secondary Type, mocha brown is a versatile color that works for all. The key is in how you pair it and the other four elements of the garment (design line, texture, fabrication, and pattern) to enhance your secondary Type’s energy.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Muted, Milky Brown
Yes! Soft powder pink is perfect for Type 2s. Even better, mocha brown and powder pink make a gorgeous combination for Type 2s. Opt for a soft, light, muted pink that enhances your natural softness. Use your Style Guides for help finding the perfect Type 2 powder pink.
Any secondary Type considerations?
Again, no secondary considerations, this is a color that will favor all Type 2s!
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Soft, Toned-Down
Jewelry and accessories are staying extra this season, with statement pieces taking center stage. Layered necklaces, oversized earrings, and bold accessories are still going strong. Belts are making a comeback, from chunky leather to chain belts. Flowers are everywhere—in earrings, rings, and statement brooches. Whether you love stacking delicate chains, rocking dramatic hoops, or adding structured belts to define your silhouette, this trend is all about making your look uniquely you!
When I first read about this trend, I pictured big earrings, a giant necklace, a statement bracelet, and a bold belt—all at once! Of course, that would be too much for a Type 2 (and really, any Type). The key is to pull what you like from the trend without overloading your look.
Choose either a statement earring or a necklace—there’s no need to wear them all together. And remember, statement pieces don’t have to be heavy! All the Type 2 jewelry in the DYT store is designed to be comfortable and easy to wear. Look for romantic floral details in soft resin, pearl accents, or vintage-inspired designs to add a gentle, feminine touch.
As for belts? Decide if it works for your outfit and personal style—I’m still debating that trend myself!
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Connected, Layers

Start with one high-impact piece—like a printed jacket, rugged denim with patchwork, or a textured top—and build from there. Layer in substantial accessories like a stacked bracelet or a thick leather belt. Every piece should feel intentional and energetic. The key is not to pile things on randomly—your strength lies in movement and purpose.
This trend is definitely a Type 3/1 and Type 3/4 energy expression, as there is more going on, as noted below, softer fabrications make it work for a 3/2 combo.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Textured Layers, Intentional Contrast
Look for pieces with edge—lace with a raw finish, asymmetrical layers, or structured fringe. Choose romantic fabrics like chiffon or tulle in deeper, earthy tones like olive, rust, or deep plum (and of course, mocha brown and powder pink – keep reading)! Balance soft with strong.
This trend leans more toward Type 3/1 and Type 3/2 as it introduces lighter and softer fabrications and has more yin energy.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Structured Softness, Earthy Romance
Finding the pant style that flatters you and fits effortlessly into your wardrobe is the key.
Look for high-rise fits in structured materials like dark denim, twill, or coated fabric. Details like raw hems, zippers, or cargo pockets add texture and energy. Pair them with substantial tops or statement shoes to stay balanced. With so many styles trending, there’s something for everyone—every Type and every body type!
This works for all Type 3 secondaries, it’s what you pair them with that matters!
Type 3/1 — Mix in a fun top or colorful accessory to energize your outfit. Try cargo-style skinny pant + oversized utility blouse + platform sandals.
Type 3/2 — Pair with flowy tops for comfort and contrast. Try relaxed straight-leg denim jeans with elastic waistband + a comfortable lightweight sweater.
Type 3/4 — Keep the lines clean and add structured layers. Try straight skinny jeans + graphic tee + leather jacket + loafers.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Substantial Fit, Structured Denim
Choose sleeve styles with strong structure—like angular cuts, tiered ruffles, ruche sleeves, or layered cuffs. These sleeves should feel dynamic and full of purpose. Avoid soft or overly flowy shapes that lack definition. Sleeve length is going to be the most important feature, as all Type 3s look their best with a short to 3/4 sleeve length.
Type 3/1 — Look for sleeves with fun textures or unexpected shapes. Puff sleeves to 3/4 length sleeves.
Type 3/2 — Softer sleeve styles with structure will feel more natural: ruched sleeves, fuller sleeves from the elbow to 3/4 length.
Type 3/4 — Keep it clean—sharp sleeve details paired with refined accessories. 3/4 length full, puffy sleeve or a straight sleeve with statement print, substantial cuff on a sleeve.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Expressive Sleeves, Structured Shape
Stripes are having a major moment, and this season, it’s all about layering them! From thick to thin, vertical to diagonal—mixing multiple stripe patterns in one outfit is the ultimate fashion-forward statement. This maximalist take on stripes is fun, expressive, and celebrates bold pattern play.
But don’t worry—you don’t have to go all-in on head-to-toe stripes to enjoy this trend. Whether you mix and match or keep it classic with a single striped piece, there’s a way to make it work for you!
Go for stripes that feel active—angled, high-contrast, or textured. A striped blouse with cargo pants, or a striped maxi dress with rugged accessories, can create a grounded but high-energy outfit. Use your Pattern Guides to help you find the perfect Type 3 stripes.
Type 3/1 — Mix in playful color or layered stripes for extra energy. Stripes with different thicknesses and in multiple colors in one print.
Type 3/2 — Softer or wavy stripe patterns will feel more approachable.
Type 3/4 — For a sleek effect, Stick to clean, high-contrast stripes. Avoid thin stripes and go for thicker, bolder stripes in just two colors.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Energetic Stripes, Directional Pattern
This season’s color palette is all about warm mocha and soft powder pink—a perfect blend of richness and delicacy. Whether worn separately or paired together, these shades create a balanced, sophisticated look that works across styles and Energy Types.
Mocha is a great fit for your energy. It’s strong, warm, and rich. Choose it in substantial fabrics like leather, suede, or denim to add even more depth to your look. Use your Style Guides for help finding the perfect Type 3 mocha brown.
All Type 3’s can incorporate this color trend this season. Many of you have been asking for lighter Type 3 shade suggestions for Spring and Summer outfits, and mocha brown and powder pink hit the nail on the head!

Mocha brown and powder pink for a softer more girlcore look
Mocha brown and cream for a refined look
Mocha brown and olive green for an unexpected look
Mocha brown and denim for a rugged look
Mocha brown and mustard for a rich look
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Rich Neutral, Substantial Texture
Powder pink isn’t a natural match as it’s a very light pink, but you can still work with it. Use it in small amounts, and ground it with stronger colors or textured pieces. And when you find a Type 3 garment in true Type 3 powder pink, it becomes a classic in your wardrobe. Use your Style Guides for help finding the perfect Type 3 powder pink.
Every Type 3 can incorporate Type 3 powder pink into their wardrobe.
It is a very light value of our pink shade so a Type 3/2 will be the most drawn to it.
For Type 3/1 and 3/4, it might look muted to you, just make sure it has a “dirty” quality to the light value of pink. And, powder pink looks very dynamic paired with our mocha brown.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Dirty Pastel, Rich Contrast
Jewelry and accessories are staying extra this season, with statement pieces taking center stage. Layered necklaces, oversized earrings, and bold accessories are still going strong. Whether you’re mixing bold prints, upcycling with decorative patches, or stacking statement jewelry, this trend invites you to have fun with fashion! If you love making a statement, this trend is for you!
At first, this trend might seem too busy or even messy, but with intentional styling, it can be bold and artistic. Opt for strong, defined patterns like bold color blocking, precise stripes, or structured statement pieces for a refined take on maximalism. Keep accessories sleek but impactful, such as a single oversized cuff or a striking brooch. Stick to a sophisticated color scheme (3-4 colors max) to maintain balance and polish.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Bold, Artistic
Type 4 can refine this trend by choosing structured lace, sleek sheer fabrics, and clean, balanced silhouettes. Instead of slouchy boho styles, opt for fitted or tailored pieces in icy tints or monochrome lace for a polished, sophisticated look.
What keywords are important to remember for this trend? Refined, Timeless
Say hello (again) to the straight skinny—a slimmer pant leg that isn’t skin-tight but still gives a sleek, streamlined look. While this style is making a comeback, fashion in 2025 is all about options—wide legs, relaxed fits, and everything in between are still in.
