KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With regular season matches finalized over the weekend, the stage is set for the 2025 MIAA Women’s Tennis Championship. The league’s top six teams will travel to Springfield, Mo., for the three-day single-elimination postseason tournament, hosted at the Cooper Tennis Complex.

The victory also crowned the Bronchos MIAA regular season champions with a 10.5-point lead in the Association’s 2024-25 designated event standings. Arkansas-Fort Smith’s Jeremy Tandoy captured the individual title at the 2025 championship with a two stroke lead.

Washburn’s Tim Hammes was named the North Division Athlete of the Week for the second straight week and fourth time overall this season while Southern Arkansas’s Tim Fischer was named the South Division Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

Pittsburg State’s Joel Nyatusah was named the MIAA Track Athlete of the Week and Washburn’s Matteo Madrassi was named the MIAA Field Athlete of the Week. Both athletes are receiving the honor for the first time this season.
