Time Flies!

Forgive me DeluxeVille readers for I have sinned, it's been about 5 months since my last confession! Not to worry, life is well and things have been extremely busy around these parts. I spent the last several months readying my house for the real estate market and finally got it listed in May. I was under contract 8 short days later and I will be having settlement in July! I am super excited to be letting go and moving on from my little place that I've had for almost 15 years. Once again DeluxeVille is moving on and this time permanently! Thank you universe for your blessing this time!
So I guess the question y'all are asking is... where will DeluxeVille be moving onto? Well after much talk with my fella, we have decided that DeluxVille will be opening up shop in the 1957 Liberty mobile home! If you scroll down, you will see the post I did on
painting the outside of the trailer.
Lots of landscaping has been going on around here. We took the big diseased Maple tree down in front of the trailer last Fall and needed to do some planting come Spring. With the help of my favorite plant parking lot sale, we were able to gather and plant quite a bit of different perennials.

Since we haven't even began the renovation of the inside of DeluxeVille yet, we've been spending some of the dog days of Summer lounging on the front porch. Our pup Sampson gives it two paws up and wants everyone to know anyone can come sit with him as long as you give good scratches!
If you remember back many years ago, you will know, I had experimented with having a booth space in an antique mall. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work to try to make my rent every month! I've been thinking about getting back into the vintage selling game again for quite sometime but just couldn't seem to justify the cost of renting another booth space. After much talk with the fella, we've come to the decision that the perfect place to have a little vintage shop with almost zero overhead would be in the vintage 1957 Liberty trailer that's on the property. After all, we were planning on renovating it anyway for our own use, why not just make it a home business instead of a guest house?
I won't even begin to tell you about the amount of work that will need to be done inside. It's been sitting vacant since the mid eighties and for the last six years my fella has been using it as storage. It's not in awful shape by any means but we will need to replace flooring and fix some walls. There is still tons of original 1957 charm in there! Now that the work has been done and my house has been sold, this little gem will be where I'll be spending my evenings for awhile.
Now y'all know what I'll be doing until next time!

So the other week I spied this awesome vintage sign coming up for sale at an auction! OMG!!! It was just what I was looking for to complete my chicken coop.
How amazing is that sign I thought! I must drive my butt off to this auction and buy this fricken cool ass sign. So I loaded up my truck with my side kicks and off we went for a road trip to buy a sign!
Woof! Not amused.
But buy a sign we did! It was such a large sign, the fella had to build a special wooden frame for moving it. Have you figured out yet that my guy likes building things?? And I just happen to be really good at making a list of things that need to be built. Can I just say we high five each other a lot!
Can this sign be any more perfect for my rusty salvaged chicken coop? I think not. We hung this up and high fived each other as we stood back and looked at it.
I'm one very pleased chicken rancher! My chickens on the other hand could care less about the design of their humble abode. No high fives from them.
Of course this whole picture is currently covered in about 5 inches of snow. Hurry up Spring!
Fill free to high five me in the comments!

Like a little squirrel getting ready for Winter, I've been spending the last year or so, scouring Craigslist for mid-century goodies. I have discovered that house flippers are my favorite people and I'm always happy when they try to salvage and sell off or give away the old house items they no longer feel are fashionable. Though I personally hate when cool old houses are updated to a more "modern" state for resale purposes, I'm always happy to try to get my hands on these discarded items!
We were tipped off about this mid-century Cadillac of bathroom vanities by one of our friends who was perusing the free stuff section of Craigslist. Did you say free? Yup! And believe me when I say, I was on it like white on rice.
It has two original pink Kohler sinks and the original boomerang laminate is still in really nice condition. As you can see this was a custom built piece and came out of a mid-century ranch home built in 1955. The rest of the original pink bathroom fixtures were still in the house, this vanity was removed upon advice given by the realtor to help sell the property. The vanity was stored in the garage and the new home owners just wanted it gone and knew that someone might see value in it. We were happy to come and take it off their hands!
Even the interior shelves and door have the boomerang laminate!
My favorite is the built in hamper in the center of the vanity that tilts out. Not very big but still does the job!
This Satin Glide mirror, light and shelf set was another victim of a house flip. I gladly scooped this up for $50. It was however missing it's matching vanity. I'm on the look out for a second one!
I knew I really wanted my master bathroom to have his and her sinks and these two 1957 American Standard Dresslyn sinks were exactly what I had in mind at the time. When I originally saw the post and responded to it, I was to late and was told they were gone. A few weeks later I was contacted out of the blue by the poster who said they were left behind and if I wanted them, I could come get them. Trust me, I still wanted them! This poster was also flipping a house and they were kind enough to allow me to do some dumpster diving in their dumpster, in which I found the matching pink toilet!
We also picked up this cute little 1949 Frigidaire stove from the same person. We brought it home, cleaned it up and stuck it in our kitchen in the cottage apartment. Works great and goes really well with the already existing metal kitchen cabinets.
It's probably going to be awhile yet till We get to the bungalow house renovations and I'll get to put everything into place. Our next renovation on the agenda is the 1957 Liberty Mobile Home! Have you found anything good on Craigslist lately?

Let me introduce you to the newest member of the family...Sampson! For awhile I've been talking to the fella about wanting a dog and to make a long story short he was out one day and found this little guy who was in need of a new home.

Sampson is quite the people loving little guy and so, he works out perfectly coming to work with me everyday, as I run a program for elderly individuals who have a form of dementia and need memory support. He is the perfect therapy dog, not only for my clients but also for my hardworking staff and myself. Everyone absolutely adores him. He sits on laps, knows how to avoid walkers and wheelchairs, calms anxieties, snuggles in beds, entertains, is patient, triggers good memories, is a quiet presence, gives kisses, and in general creates smiles. He gives LOVE and is LOVED.

He's been adjusting really well to all seven of our cats. Not an easy task for a new member of the family that's not of the cat species. He is turning into a mama's boy and is my constant companion. I have bestowed upon him his new nickname Samspoon as his favorite past time is cuddling in bed.

Not only am I lucky enough to be able to bring my dog to work with me everyday, but there is also a great walking trail two feet from my building that's dog friendly. So, Sampson and I get to hit the walking path daily for a bit of mid-day exercise.

I can't tell you how happy I am to have a dog in my life again. But of course not just any dog, Sampson is really one of a kind and I'm so lucky to have him.

See ya soon!

Once again a season has flown by a bit to fast for me. I LOVE Spring/Summer and it's probably the time of year when I am the busiest. I also LOVE projects and get lots of pleasure in creating and surrounding myself in a space that makes me happy. (Funny that I don't feel that way about my office at work, that space is pretty much walls with a door, comfy chairs and a desk.) So, this Summer was spent checking projects off the to do list.
Here's what got accomplished around the homestead this Spring and Summer:
- Chicken Coop and Landscape
- Fish Pond and Landscape
- Move the existing Veggie Garden and create a bigger one
- Landscape front of Bungalow
- Paint back porch on Bungalow
- Paint outside of the 1957 Liberty Mobile Home
I've already posted about our chicken coop we built and about the new placement of the veggie garden. So, lets take a look at some of our other completed projects.
We have been working on landscaping the main house, the bungalow for awhile now and this summer we added a stone path to connect with an existing cement stairs, stone edging around the flower beds we put in last year, and new flower beds.
Last Summer we painted the front porch and added the wooden swing. We also did a lot of perennial planting around the front porch last year. You can see a nice before shot of the house below to see where we started in March of 2015. I was so happy to see those shrubs go!
I like having a water feature where I live, there's just something about the sound of running water that I find very calming and relaxing. We got out the heavy equipment and got to work building a rather large fish pond! I located the pond in an area of the garden I've been working on this summer. I will expand on the landscape around the pond on the opposite side next summer.
Our last big Summer project that wrapped up this week was the painting of the vintage 1957 mobile home. The reason we moved this project up on our to do list is because we have decided that we will be using the mobile home to open our own vintage shop in Spring of 2017! I am super excited!! This winter we plan on renovating the inside of the mobile home.
We decided to go with the turquoise/white/black color scheme instead of the original red and white one. We thought it would be neat to buff the aluminum shiny but quickly realized we just didn't have the time or energy to put into doing it so, white was our second option. I still think it turned out great!
I went ahead and added the black pin stripping line and created the V on the back of the trailer. It actually turned out better than I thought it would. It's a real eye catcher as you're driving down the road! Here's a before and after look at what we've done below.
As you can see, we removed a lot of shrubs from the trailer this Spring and once again I was happy to see them go. I will spend some time in early spring 2017 working out the landscaping and perhaps a tree removal will even take place? See how I'm just adding to my to do list! I love it!
By now you must realize that we have not one house, but actually three houses here on the property to maintain and renovate. We are currently living in the little apartment/cottage behind the main house attached to the garage...
here. We are still renovating the bungalow, though the progress has been slow lately, and plan on living there eventually. The trailer will become our shop and the cottage apartment will become anybody's guess right now?? I'm sure we will figure something out!
Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time
XOXO

In the beginning, I had a plot of land and a design idea. The plan was to build using as much salvaged materials as possible and to spend as little money as possible. Mission accomplished!
Since I was planning on moving my garden to a new spot, I decided that the old garden spot would be the perfect place for the new chicken coop. I bought my nesting boxes the year prior at an estate auction. The cinder blocks, plywood, 4x4s and 2x4s were all left over from other projects or gotten for free from the fella's work.
We did have to buy 2x4's for the chicken run but we bought them as surplus lumber from a local builder. The run posts were the only items we actually had to buy from a big box store. The metal roofing was also bought from a local surplus building supply business. The front porch wood was all free and from a skid on a shipping box.
As you can tell from the pictures, we've been working on our Coop DeVille for some time now. We haven't been consistent with our project,as my boyfriend travels at times for his work, but I'm guessing we have about 80 to 100 hours in our project.
The chicken coop siding is aluminum sheeting off a late 1940's mobile home that we salvaged for free and pieced back together. We also salvaged the windows and door from the same old mobile home. I did buy a can of paint from our local hardware store. The black chicken wire used in the run was also purchased from a local company that sells commercial farm equipment.
And of course all my plants were purchased at the annual local greenhouse parking lot end of season sale. I've been going to this sale for years and always save big money on plants. I had to create some new flower beds for the chicken coop and worked off of the existing plants and shrubs. Then of course we added the landscaping stone to help define the flower gardens and tie the coop and garden together.
My boyfriend made me the window box planter and then added the vintage license plates from his collection. I love it. I also really love the cool front porch he built!
We still have a few areas to finish up yet but in general I'm calling this project a mission accomplished and for under $1,000 too! I absolutely love having chickens running around again and the fella is into them too. Thanks to my super handy fella for all his hard work to make my chicken coop dreams come true!
Thanks for stopping by!

It's Been Awhile

Here's what I've been up to the last 6 months! A new place, a new job, new town but same ol' me! With a new place comes lots of new projects and decorating! Been having lots of fun settling in to my boyfriend's 680 sq ft. apartment. The best part is, we both have a love for mid-century vintage, and since we both have been collecting for a long time, we've got lots of fun things to choose from to decorate! I'll be sharing some of our projects in future posts! Until then, enjoy the eye candy!
See ya soon!

I LOVE checking out a good estate auction. I especially LOVE a good box lot auction! Some of my most favorite vintage things have come out of the bottom of a cardboard box. Some times I even find a treasure in my box that will pay for my whole auction bill and then some!
I went to an auction recently that had 350 miscellaneously stuffed boxes! I usually give myself a budget to stay in and once I hit it, I stop bidding. Giving myself a budget really helps me focus only on bidding on things I really want and not just ALL the cool vintage stuff! My budget this time was $50 and as you have read by my title, I overspent by $1! But I'll forgive myself for that dollar because I brought my own water and snack to the auction! So lets see what I got for $51!
I bought one box full of old games for $2. I really, really wanted the
Simon Game! When I was a kid I wanted one of these games sooooo bad (I
think I was attracted to the colors!) but never got one, until now!
It's never to late people!
I spent $12 on a box full of all kinds of stuff! I bought it for the small patio umbrellas with the clamps on them. There were three total. It also had a picnic jug, window screens, artwork of cats with big eyes, a Griswold grinder, Victorian utensils, 5 Mattel children records, a box of nails and a plant hanger!
The umbrella that made me buy a $12 box lot! Love those colors! I so think that $12 was worth it for that fabulous umbrella.
I bought a box of glass and china things for $1. It had the Anchor Hocking striped pitcher in it. I found the new old stock Anchor Hocking drinking glasses in the house on a table to be sold individually. The glasses were my big spend of the day. I really wanted to keep the set together so, I bought the glasses for $35....ouch there goes my budget!
And the last thing I bought was a box of textiles for $1! It also had towels in it that I plan on donating to a local animal shelter.
If you've been paying attention, you might be wondering what I bought
with my other $1 in the $51 I spent. Well the first thing I bought was a
1950's portable grille that I don't have a picture of! So there ya go, everything I bought for $51.
There was a few things there that I wish I would have had the money or the need to buy, but I just couldn't justify the purchase at this point in my life. One of them was this very cool western child's toy box/hassock. Sweet huh?!
Yeeehaw! Oh well, easy come, easy go!!
See ya soon,

Just Minty
25 Jul 2015 5:30 PM (9 years ago)
What's a girl to do when she comes for a weekend visit to the country cottage to find her fabulous boyfriend has painted the garage doors atomic minty green???
Well if you're MaryDeluxe, you do a jump for joy! Yay for atomic minty green and a fella who loves a bit of color in his life! Now that I'm looking at this picture, I'm so not impressed with how high I was able to jump...I swear in my head I was 6 feet off the ground but apparently reality is a cruel bitch because I'm more like 6 inches off the ground! Actually, I'm not jumping at all...I'm levitating!

I also spent some time Sunday helping the Fab-Fella lay out the walking path. Yes boys and girls, MaryDeluxe got stoned! Don't judge!

Atomic minty green doors and a turquoise 1955 Pontiac Safari is a great back drop for a silly girl to do some silly posing! What, me silly? PPPlease silly is my middle name.
The Fab-Fella also added some rebar legs to "Pinky" the vintage cement lawn flamingo we found at auction. It's rare to find vintage lawn ornaments that haven't gotten broken over the years and with their original paint too! Sorry bun wearing hipster guy, it just wasn't your vintage cement lawn flamingo day. Sorry not sorry!
Here I am showing off my awesome summertime farmer tan. Perhaps the Fab-Fella and I can put some projects aside for one weekend and spend some time down at the sea shore? A girl can dream can't she!
XOXO,
MaryDeluxe
P.S. Messy hair don't care!
If you've been a long time reader, you are already very aware of how much I love Summertime! LOVE IT!!!! I garden...that's what I do. I've been spending lots of my free time at my fella's place in the country that I playfully refer to as "my place in the country"! I get tired of being in the "big city" all the time and I often escape to my place in the country! LOVE IT! He usually just smiles and looks at me adoringly. What can I say, I'm a bit sassy and he loves it!
~Homegrown Blueberry and Zucchini Muffins~
These were so good that I ate to many of em and made myself sick...after being so good with the Whole30 my system was like WTF did you just do. Lesson learned.

~Vintage Fruit Salad Cotton Sundress~
I've had this dress for like ever and thanks to my healthy new lifestyle over the last 6 months, I'm wearing it again with room to spare. Just in time for Summer!
I have high hopes for this 1957 Liberty trailer. But for now the front porch is a shady spot to lounge when I'm at my country home on the weekends. I see a Trailer Tramps Clubhouse in my future. Anyone wanna be in my Trailer Tramps Gang?

What can I say....I love color and vintage Ray-Ban sunnies!
A vintage hammock score made by my honey. I lounged, he worked! Perfect!
The vintage bungalow front porch got spiffy this Summer. I found the glider and chair at an auction this Spring and just had to have it for the country house!
On the other side of the front porch you can find the 1930's porch swing I picked up on a junkyard outing I went on with the fella. He was looking for car parts, I wasn't even looking but I can spot good junk anywhere....I said hello front porch and he said awesome! He picked out the paint color, I painted it and he hung it up. The perfect team!
The country house cottage got new cedar shingles this Summer and new flower beds!
I also scored big at my favorite local greenhouse's parking lot sale!
~Country house succulents~
Lots of good music has been listened to this Summer when I visit the cottage! I have now added looking for old records at flea markets and thrift shops to my list of things I keep an eye out for.
Lots more Summer fun yet to come!
See ya soon!

Life is Good....
23 May 2015 7:35 AM (9 years ago)
I'm still here and life is good...
I'm back to being me! Actually I'm the new improved version of me. I'm like the bionic woman of sorts....stronger, wiser, happier, healthier...ya know just better!
I'm not going to question how the universe works. It gives bad things
and it gives truly amazing things. I have learned a valuable lesson: do not allow crappy people into your life, ever. Damaged people cause damage!!! Avoid them at all costs!
This fella here is quite amazing. Thank you universe for allowing our paths to cross again after so many years of our paths not crossing. Pretty cool stuff here universe.
We also have a new project...one of many projects! Her name is Cookie..she will live again, I have no doubt about it. Beep Beep! One of the many fine qualities my fella has...he likes projects and just like me, he likes to save old stuff..because old stuff, has always been way cooler than new stuff.
XOXO,
MaryDeluxe
Happy New Year DeluxeVille Readers!
Thought I'd end January with some fun eye candy of what I've been up to. At the end of January it will be officially a year since I've been living back at DeluxeVille...and to be honest with you, it feels like I've never left some days! In fact, it amazes me how much difference a year can make in your life. Thank you Universe for all the soul healing things you have sent my way this past year.
I have recently painted the back of some of my kitchen cabinets and rearranged some of my fun dish wares! I removed the cabinet doors because I really like seeing my pretty things! Cabinet doors are so overrated!!
I dislike Winter but I accept the fact that I live in a state that has one! So to make life better, you should always have at least one or two fun vintage coats that you get to wear!
Nothing makes me happier on a sunny afternoon then hanging out in the kitchen drinking a cuppa hot tea and listening to some good tunes...
...while I "depleat" a vintage atomic pleated set of curtains I've been carrying around for eons. Now I have to decide what I'm gonna do with them.
Look, more vintage yummy dish wares that deserve to be seen!
And just so you don't think that all I've been doing is decorating DeluxeVille these last few months, I haven't been. As I wrote previously, I met a really extremely awesome fella who I've been enjoying gettin to know. I've never met a fella who has more vintage crap than I do. I'm the perfect vintage junk loving sidekick for him and he's drama free, which is the perfect sidekick for me! (See, there the Universe goes again giving me soul healing experiences when I wasn't looking.) We spend a lot of time eating fish sticks and french fries together and listening to old country records.
I'm sure I'll be sharing more about my favorite fella and our adventures after Winter passes and we decide to stop hibernating! So stay tuned, lots more random vintage eye candy coming your way!
XOXO,
~MaryDeluxe

You were an amazing time of year for me once again. I can always count on Summer to re-energize my spirit and send me off in new creative directions. No other season gives me the wonderful mental boost quite like Summer does. Summer I will miss you!
I grew Veggies and ate my veggies and shared my veggies!!
I road my bike!
I fell in love with a few tractors.

I lost something I will never be able to replace.
He was the best thing that has ever happened in my life.
I bought stuff I didn't need just for fun!
I glowed...I nested....I rested....I met new friends...I hung out with old friends...I spent time with myself....I licked my wounds and healed my soul just a bit more...I spent time with my family.... I gave and got lots of hugs...I let go...I laughed more than I cried (even though I cried for days)... I remembered how to love...I grieved my losses...I proclaimed that all this me time is absolutely awesome...I got a new nickname from a special fella....I jumped through flaming hoops of fire...(okay just kidding I didn't really do that)...I did however start running again (slow like a turtle but I'm moving so who cares turtles are cute!)
Thank you Summer you came along just when I needed you! See ya next year Summer!!

If you live anywhere remotely close to The Gatchellville Store and haven't yet visited...well then, not much more for me to say other then you have no idea what you are missing! Seriously!! Really!! I mean come on...do I need to rent a bus and go pick everyone up? I can do that if you want but you're going to have to help me pay for the bus!
Now, if you have been a faithful DeluxeVille reader, you will remember my first visit to the store back in 2009...The Gatchellville Store Adventure, yeah I know my post titles are so original! Well, I'm happy to report it's gotten even better! I didn't think it was possible...they proved me wrong!
"With over 6000 square feet, The Gatchellville Store has a bit of something for everyone.
Created by husband and wife, Carroll Swam and Linda Sarubin, and
combining their vastly different collecting tastes, ( his, country..and
hers, city ), the store is the kind of place you can lose yourself in
for hours at a time, just wandering among the thousands of interesting
items.
Country furniture, vi...ntage
musical instruments, old books, unusual ephemera, pottery,
advertising...the town's old post office, circa 1900, is filled with
Carroll's impressive collection of antiques tools.
Linda's
interests run towards jewelry, textiles, and a world class collection of
thousands and thousands of vintage and antique buttons. Circa 1850 -
1950.
Two little dogs sit in thrones in the center of the store,
ordering customers to pet them, while bluegrass-and blues-music plays
throughout.
By the way, The Gatchellville Store began its life
around the time of the Civil War when a Union solider named Mathew
McCall came home from the war to set up a mercantile and dry goods
business in Gatchellville. He was only 19 years of age....and now
almost 150 years later, Mr. McCall's Name is still on the stained glass
transom above the front door.
When Linda and Carroll bought the
store in 2002, it had been closed since the 1940s. They are the 4th
owners to operate the store since the Civil War."
So, what did MaryDeluxe find this time at Gatchellville? I'm sure this is the question you are all pondering at this very moment...ok just humor me and pretend like it was! Well kiddos, I went with this wonderful barkcloth fabric. As a person who use to design fabric back in another one of my life times, I really like vintage textiles! A LOT! I really like mixing them together too...textures, colors, and patterns...makes no difference to me.
To continue with my theme of textile purchases, I also grabbed this old rainbow rag runner while I was there! Love the colors and after cutting off the bad ends, was a perfect fit for my kitchen!
Later that evening we christened the rug with popcorn treats and hairballs! I had nothing to do with the hairball part of that equation!
In other fun news...if you want to follow me on IG you can find me as some of you already know under
_MaryDeluxe_ !
Until next time!
XOXO,
MaryDeluxe
I've never been much of a quilt collector. I think simply because I could never afford the price when they would come up at the local PA auctions I would attend. I would often sit by and watch as the Mennonite and Amish women fought it out for antique quilts and vintage linens. They had good taste and deep pockets. Though I was never able to purchase a vintage quilt at that time, I've always enjoyed seeing the designs and fabric used in making them. Feedsack patchwork quilts have always been my favorite. I love the random cotton fabrics used and the crazy stitched designs. I also happen to love a well worn and broken in quilt. Why you may ask? See above and times those two by a bunch more beasties. I like using my vintage treasures and I prefer them to not be perfect. It takes some of the guilt out of any accidental destruction that might some how occur with daily living. Yes, that's right....imperfect means, no quilt guilt for me!

I happened across an auction the other month and was finally able to snag a few quilts at really good prices. Don't get me wrong, there was still competition for them when they came up, but the prices didn't go that high. I discovered later from talking with some of my friends in the "dealer scene", that quilts just don't have the demand that they use to have. They're just not hot right now around here! Well now, I guess this means it's the time for me to start my awesome feed sack quilt collection! Five out of six cats agree that this is a most excellent idea. The dogs don't care, they'll lay on anything!
The quilt below, I fell in love with because of the most fab fabric on it's backside. Oh did I happen to mention I also love a quilt with not one but two awesome sides. Please don't give me a boring backside, Momma likes some fun colorful fabric junk in her trunk! Like pretty seafoam green and pink!
I will definitely be keeping my eyes open for more vintage quilts in my future! Now's a great time to start picking them up for fairly decent prices.
Happy Collecting.

It's hard to believe the Summer is just flying by so fast. Here's just some of the things I've been up to around here this Summer.
An afternoon terrarium project (that I still need to complete) using an old vintage slate bottom aquarium. I also have the cool iron stand for it too!
Dog days of Summer have arrived and boy, hound dogs sure are lazy beasties in the hot, humid weather....but so are their owners. Time for another nap Chet!
Exploring the tallest waterfall in the state of NJ! Butter Milk Falls.
Yup, still have those chickens.
See, I told ya hound dogs are lazy in the Summer time. I woke up one morning to this guy looking at me....just had to take the picture!
Eating out of the garden all Summer long here kids! Harvested a ton of cucumbers, zucchini, squash, peas and beans. Tomatoes will be arriving any day now!
Weeding, weeding, weeding.
The top of Butter Milk Falls! Yup we climbed to the top wearing flip flops, cuz that's just the way we roll around here some times!
We've also had some neighbor drama around here, as our neighbor has a lack of pet responsibility, which caused the loss of two of Sgt's meat chickens. Yup, she believes in just opening her door and sending her two new dogs out to roam....on other people's properties... where they have chickens. So needless to say, it was not a fun event to have happen and be a witness to. Wild animals I can understand, but a domesticated dog with an irresponsible owner, I can not. We're hoping for a more quiet second half to our Summer.
