Small Business Owner Psychology 23 Mar 2022 6:51 AM (3 years ago)

First and foremost – business owners are people like any other people. They have needs, wants, desires. Right now though, a very large number of them are concerned about the survival of their business and way of life. The economy is suffering, money is tight, and it’s generally a time of healthy skepticism. One of your primary objectives will be getting past the “initial objections” and “overly cautious” attitudes that many business owners have. What’s the number-one expectation clients have when they employ you as a consultant? Results! They want to see that they spent their money well. They want

Note To Self on Business Efficiency 7 Apr 2014 11:39 AM (11 years ago)

Dear David, Hire people who are smarter than you are, then get the hell out of their way, and let them knock themselves out. Michael Gerber of the emyth fame calls that management by abdication. That brings us to the other alternative: create systems, then hire average people to just work it. While the former is easier and gets you going quickly with results, it becomes chaotic in the long term, not also forgetting that loosing a key staff could bring trouble quickly to your burgeoning company. The latter on the other hand requires more work and discipline from the

Wildcard DNS Setup For The Kloxo Hosting Panel 27 Feb 2011 3:48 AM (14 years ago)

As most of you already know, kloxo is a free alternative to Cpanel and DirectAdmin hosting control panels, and I make use of it for most of my VPS hosting needs. I needed to setup a wildcard dns for Kloxo to use with WordPress multisite for a project I’m working on, but sadly there wasn’t any readily help available, not even on the kloxo help forum. After some tinkering I was able to solve this problem and have my setup working fine. Here’s a simple workaround: First log on to your kloxo control panel, locate the “manage dns” option amongst

How to Add .html Extension to WordPress Pages 16 May 2010 12:00 AM (14 years ago)

I recently put up my company’s website using WordPress. It looks and feels like a corporate website, but I wanted to make it look a bit more professional. So I added .html extension to all the pages using a nice little plugin. You can add this manually, but the plugin takes care of this automatically for you. Plugin is available on the WordPress repository.

How to Install WordPress Plugins and Themes From The Admin Dashboard 22 Apr 2010 5:25 PM (14 years ago)

I’ve discovered that so many beginners to blogging don’t know how to install themes and plugins on wordpress. So I just thought I should show you how to do this without the need of ftp (file transfer protocol). This can easily be done through your wordpress admin dashboard. How To Receive Your Google Adsense Verification Pin in Nigeria 13 Apr 2010 10:34 AM (15 years ago)

Here’s a quick and simple guide on how I was able to get my Google adsense verification PIN here in Lagos, Nigeria. I know of some Nigerian publishers who have lost hundreds of dollars of their Google Adsense earnings simply because they either did not receive their Google adsense PIN (personal identification number) or it came too late or probably just got lost on the way. When your new Google adsense account has generated up to $10 or thereabout, Google will require you to verify your account. They’ll notify you of this when you log on to your account. Make

How To Get a Credit Card in Nigeria For Your Online Purchases 6 Apr 2010 7:39 PM (15 years ago)

When I started marketing newly, my biggest hurdle back then was getting a credit card for making purchases online. I needed a way to make payments for  internet marketing ebooks and software, but couldn’t get the credit card required for those payments. Later on I was introduced to virtual visa credit cards, but the fees were just too high, and it didn’t just work for me. Introducing Nigerian’s Own Credit Cards Things have greatly improved over the years, getting a credit card in Nigeria has become relatively easy, and in most cases you get your card same day you apply

I get asked a lot from Nigerians who are just starting out affiliate marketing. How do I receive my affiliate cheques here in Nigeria? We all know Nigeria has a bad reputation when it comes to online business, and so many of these companies try to avoid us as much as possible. While there are many ways to receive your affiliate cheques here in Nigeria, there’s one method (Graphcard) which I’ve had success with, and have proven to be very easy and cheap for beginning affiliates in Nigeria.
