Hello everyone I have a quick question about my gun but it’s kind of random, but any ways I noticed that when I clean my gun that in the areas of these pictures that I circled is really black and greasy for some reason and it is very difficult to clean and I clean it to the best of my ability, but will that cause any problems or issues with shooting the firearm now or in the future(btw these picture are not mine I just used them from the internet)

Quick question about my Gun

Is there a 15 round magazine for the G48 that does not require modification(s) to the pistol or magazine and works straight out of the box (or whatever package it comes in)? If so, what brand and/or model magazine? Best source for them? Thanks in advance.

Between these 2, which one would you go with and why? I am looking to add another Glock to my collection. I really don't have any preference and it will not be used for home defense purposes, I just wanted to add another one to the collection. I am torn between getting another 9mm (17) or another .45acp(21). Just wanted to see how the forum feels between these 2. Both will be gen 3.

I’ve got a Glock 19 gen 3 with a ported barrel from eBay I bought for $70, I’m not able to shoot my firearm so I’m just wondering if anyone got the same barrel and wondering just how well it actually performs when actually shooting with it?? I guess I just would like to no what to expect🤷🏻‍♂️I know it’s kinda a dumb question but it suck’s because I live sooo far from a gun range and can’t shoot it till i obviously get to the range..

For you hoarders out there, how much 22LRs do you keep around in stock?

How are the new Gen 5 .40S&W pistols running ? Are they still "Glock" reliable ? Also , I used a G22 gen 2 and Gen 3 for over 20 years as an officer and on both I had the "peening" along the middle of the slide rails underneath. Are these newer Gen 5's getting any peening along that area at all ? Any information is appreciated.

This might open up a can of worms, but here goes. Stopped in my LGS (small shop, small town) the other day to see what was new. Nothing realy caught my eye until a saw a pair of new Taurus G3c's in the show case, one all black & the other silver slide. Up until then I'd usually just walk on by if it's a Taurus but that day I thought, why not take a look. I was not expecting what I found. Fit & finish very good, felt good in hand, heavier than expected, trigger was something new to me...

I’ve bought and sold a bunch of pistols over the years — tried some higher-end stuff, striker-fired, hammer-fired, whatever. But somehow, my old Gen 3 Glock 19 keeps finding its way back into the rotation.

It’s nothing fancy. Got some wear, been through a few different setups. I even threw a cheap ported barrel on it off eBay just to mess around — haven’t shot it yet (range is a pain to get to), but it reminded me why I keep this one around. It just runs. No drama.

I guess it’s that one...

Well, I fell for it, or the marketing, or the "gotta have it" or whatever, and I'm gonna guinea pig it for GT. I went and had a look at it, and I will say, I'm impressed. Did a ton of fishing growing up. Fished and won several tournaments in my early and mid 20's. Then other hobbys took over and I went 10 years without wetting a line. Sold about 10k worth of gear to my nephew for a couple hundred bucks. Me and Jack are back at it. Also if there was ever a debate on whether or not you have to be quite to catch fish I can answer it for you...you don't!

Well, I'm on my path of Redemption for 45ACP, and the M&P M2.0 brought just that! I sold something off, and purchased this used Shield 45, with 3 magazines. This did not need the restoration my M&P Fullsize 45 did, and it's already cleaned and oiled.

With the recommendation of a couple cool fellows here, the Shield 45ACP came highly recommended. I can see why. I was always afraid of the older M2.0 Shield triggers, as I've only owned Shields in...

Last week I mounted a Vortex Defender CCW on my G43X MOS. I've carried this gun daily for almost 5 years, without an optic. I was very anxious to see how I liked shooting it with an optic.

I did two drills today, one to see how I did going fast with it, the other to see how accurately I could shoot it. I decided to do one run of each and post the results, warts and all (to put a little pressure on myself).

Getting The Feel For My EDC (43X MOS), Now With An Optic

The GLOCK MG 34/42 feed tab and links: sometimes it’s right in front of you and you don’t see it! Yet Again! It’s a small stamp on the links that I overlooked, it makes sense from the Glock knife documentary with the factory producing links. They were stamped !

New to the forum, and new owner of a Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS.

This might be a silly question, but does anyone maintain a list of optics that will fit the MOS without an adapter? Thanks.

This past week I've been working on my daughter's new G48MOS, getting it to her liking. She has small hands and I think that for some things it is better to adapt the instrument to the person than the person to the instrument- if it doesn't create other issues. So far all I've done is replace the trigger shoe with a shoe that has a much shorter reach with a polished trigger bar and contoured the trigger guard to let her grip higher and prevent "Glock knuckle".

Apologies for the lengthy post, but I want to include a recap of my 10mm saga:

1. I bought an M&P 10mm. I had consistent uncommanded magazine drops with two different M&P 10mm pistols. This was not an uncommon problem with the early M&P 10mm pistols, and I documented it as well as I could (link below). I'm not sure if this problem has been fixed or not with recently manufactured 10mm M&Ps.


2. I then bought a Sig XTen. I've had no issues with the XTen...

NIB Trijican RMR & RSO red dots

The small box was all AR-15 magazines except for one Tapco Mini-14 mag. There was a mix of several different brands but it did include six Magpul 40 rounders and four ETS 30 rounders (that connect to each other).


The big box was awesome because it was filled with AK magazines!

There were five steel 40 rounders and nine steel 30 rounders but not sure which country, most likely Romania or Poland.

Comprehensive Glock 19 Gen1 & Gen2 Date Codes by Serial Number (SN)

This isn’t a question for the glock purest crowd.

But what do the Gucci builders actually offer besides looks and name?

Many of the manufacturers like Tarzan Tactical use stock barrels and top tier aftermarket parts (trigger shoes) that are available to anyone.

Wilson at least can provide a full fit barrel, which perhaps could be said to make the gun perform better, but other than them, I don’t understand what is actually offered besides cosmetics.

Basically, I’m wondering if anyone out...

Since we've been on to subject of Taurus which of the three should be my truck gun?
My G2c in 9mm, my g3c in .40S&W or my full size G2 also in 9mm........

Looking at a Canik METE supposed a new offering. The pistol seems very nice, broad gold trigger, ported at the end of the barrel. I was thinking of buying it around $644; however, I have two friends who did not like their Caniks and sold them soon after buying them. So does anyone here have experiences with Caniks? Any information will be appreciated.
