It's been a while since I took the time to put together those
crafting + ephemera kits that you all love so much. Who am I kidding, I love them, too!
Set yourself a reminder and drop into the shop on Monday to find your new favorites. Until then, here's a
sneak peek of some cuties waiting to find new homes. Wink, wink.
Find all the new goodies, and some old favorites

I've been spending my time lately working in my journals and learning some new techniques, you know something to occupy my mind and bring me some joy. If you're looking for something to keep your hands busy and make your heart happy,
take a peek at my 30% off sale going on now.

As a rule, I don't include photos in my list journals. But today is different. I recently participated in Ali Edwards' Pieces of Us selfie challenge and came away with some great stories and a few good photos.
This is one of them.
And since 80% of the time, I don't like photos of myself because I usually have my eyes closed or look uber awkward, it was a total surprise to come away with this gem. When I look at it, I see peace and happiness and contentment. And I hope the rest of the world sees that in me, too.

INSIDE MY JOURNAL
Day 1 | Let Me Introduce Myself
I knew that I was going to include a photo of myself here but didn't want to cover up all of the lovely florals and gold foil accents which made me decide to trim down my photo.
I used a book page scrap which had been stamped on, because reading is such a big part of who I am, and then scattered some pink sequins around the photo and decided to add a touch of gold glitter washi tape to reinforce the glittery gold theme.
It was quite by accident that my sweater had a pink word phrase on it, but a happy accident I must say.
I also used a book page scrap as a journal prompt holder that I tucked under my photo on the left side. The "list nerd" die cut is part of
the free printable I designed for the March challenge and once you register you can access the download on the private 30 Lists blog.
MY HIDDEN JOURNALING
A technique I use now and again is to hide my journaling. Sometimes it's because it's kind of heartfelt and personal and private. But not today. Today, I used a
glassine bag and
pink shipping tag to journal on only because my page was already full.
I repeated the book paper scrap and the leftover scrap of neon pink that I used on the floral page with my photo. See, I told you I was a scrap hoarder.

The fun I am having with the documentation of a few of my favorite things in a mixed paper journal has been the best answer to these February blahs. It has been exciting for me to pop a journal prompt on a page and play with my paper scraps and all those bits and baubles of kits I have in the shop but never make the time to play with myself.
Well, not any more. I'm using "the good stuff" because I'm worth it.

A FEW JOURNALS TO GET YOU STARTED
I'm a fan of lists, of mini books and telling my right now story. That's a phrase I coined way back when Kam sent out a survey asking participants what 30 Lists meant to them.
Find all the
Mixed Paper Journals in the shop to choose your favorite, but here are just a few of them:
All of these mini book journals come with fun, colorful embellishment kits to help jumpstart your creative mojo.
IF YOU'RE MORE OF A TRAVELERS NOTEBOOK FAN
I have listed several times in plain paper notebooks and enjoyed it just as much. There's a different mindset going into a journal where there are no limits or patterns or preconceived ideas.
Here are a two notebook sets, I'll be adding a few more this week that will include embellishment kits, too.
A FEW SUPPLIES TO GET YOU GOING
And if you love these, but want to personalize the pages with stickers and journal cards and more, here are a few links for inspiration:

We all have favorites, but have we ever stopped to document them all in a journal? I thought that it would be fun to have a journal dedicated to all my favorites.
A FEW OF MY FAVORITES, JOURNALED
Pastime
The ribbon, vellum paper and book page strip were all in my scraps bin - I’m not a hoarder if I actually use the scraps, right?
Reading will always be at the top of my list of all time favorite pastimes.
I popped my punched journal prompt on top of the paper cluster I made out of the ribbon and book page paper strip.
Era of Music
I didn’t even have to think twice! It never fails to bring a smile to my face and makes me reminisce of simpler days gone by. Aaaaah, big hair, guitar riffs and ballads. Does it get any better? Even the girls ask to listen to 80s on 8 on in the car.
To make my number 8 pop off the page, and I didn't want to get up off the couch and get my foam dots, I used repeating strips of cardstock strips glued together on the back side of my number.
TV Show
I couldn't list just one, and could have listed more, because how do you have just one favorite?
I used a gold accented die cut, pink glitter page flag and kraft paper sticker [all from the embellishment kit] and one of the printable journal prompts from the My Favorite Things set. I also crumpled a glassine bag and used it for more texture, placing it under my die cut.

Participating in the Junk Journal January challenge over on Instagram has been a great project to begin my 2020 creative playtime with. I've tried to step outside of my normal clean-cut journaling style and ventured more into some modeling paste, gesso, adding true "junk" to my journals and being open to a more busy look to my pages. I've always adored adding layers and texture to my work, so that hasn't changed, but I've upped the layers quite a bit on some of these page spreads.
Mixed Paper Journals + Printable Tags are
on sale for 20% off through Saturday here.
I love how this challenge prompts are bringing up stories I can tell.
JUNK JOURNAL JANUARY
Day 16 | Life Lessons
I journaled around the punchesd border on my page and then embellished with some DIY book page washi tape I made a while back. Just stick your tape onto a book page and lift. Voila!
Day 17 | Favorite Things
I’ve always been a fan of repurposing and upcycling and usually include one vintage book page and library check our card in each of the mini books I create. How about you, do you love the feel of vintage, yellowed book pages, too?
Day 18 | Feeling Good
I am so ready for spring!
Day 19 | Mixed Media
A little modeling paste, book page hexagon die cuts and a paper scrap for my journaling spot. I’m squeezing in some self care and me time today working in all my journals and doing some devotionals I’m behind on. Find a pack of pink shipping tags here.
Day 20 | Self Care Everyday
I made a promise to myself when my first child was born that I would get up and get ready and not lounge all day in sweats - this was before leggings were even a thing - and I have pretty much kept they promise to myself. I feel more “me” when I feel good about myself and can face the world with a can-do attitude.

I love inspiring quotes and I love using them as journaling prompts, too. If you're a fan of all those things, too, download these quotes I've share this month in
my weekly Sunday Quotes series. They're sized to be punched with a 2" square punch, or you can use the trim lines provided to do it all by hand. Print on vellum, sticker paper or paper of any color at all - you choose what works best for you.

Taking a few moments a few times a month to document my "currently" status will be
one of my 2020 creative projects for the year. I'm using
my DIY ring journal which you can recreate yourself if you want to add another creative project to your lineup.
DIY RING JOURNAL TUTORIAL
1. Grab some paper scraps, I have a
kit ready to use here
2.
Download your "currently" card set
3. Grab your
favorite size ring here, you can find the
black 1.25" ring I used here
I printed out 4 or 5 sets of cards, trimmed them and embellished the bottom edge of each card with a line of skinny washi tape I picked up late last year. I'm also using my date stamp and "trying" to coordinate my ink with the color of washi tape I'm using.
Hopefully I can journal once a week and as 2020 closes, I’ll have a nice little recap of what I did and what I was thinking for the whole year. I'd love to see how you're using your journal cards!

If you're looking for a fun project for the rest of January, check out the #junkjournaljanuary challenge on Intagraam. Along with my gratitude journaling, this is one of #my2020creativeprojects.
A PEEK AT MY JOURNAL PAGES
Day 7
Save A Tag
My tag is from a sweater I bought last month and I tore off the price from the bottom and used the back side as a date holder on the left side of my page.
I love how this month’s prompts are bringing up stories I can tell.
Day 8
Vintage Vibes
I'm using this mixed paper journal and added the pink hang tag {from this set}, a mini white tag + a tree image from one of the printable ephemera set which I printed on vellum.
Day 9
Happy Mail
Who knew that saving Christmas card envelopes would come in handy?
Day 10
Nature Lover
I love a new year and new projects! I printed this ephemera set onto vellum instead of card stock, added it to the left side of my journal spread and then documented a little story from city girl to country girl for me.
Day 12
Sweet Treats
We lost count of how many rounds of homemade Banana Pudding Ice Cream we made last summer, we were hooked! So good, so easy and gone in a flash because it's that good.
Find
collections of shipping tags in manila and fun colors here.
Day 13
You know I’m a huge fan of layers and texture, but did you know I also layer it up when I’m dressing? Oh yeah, cami, shirt, sweater and maybe even a scarf.
I’m a cold natured person, usually, but this Menopause thing has me all about of wack.
Day 14
Cozy Drink
Coffee is my fave, but I do love a hot peach green tea, too!
Day 15
A List
Today I used a tag, a teeny tiny scrap from a paper doily, several sticky notes and an ampersand stamp to mimic my patterned paper page.
You can find a similar watercolor style shipping tags here. And here's a set in blue.

It was meant for me to have worked on this journal sharing little tidbits all about me and who I am all documented during my 55th year. And now with my 56th birthday just around the corner, I felt it was time that I shared my pages with you.
I began by adding bits of wish tape in shades of aqua and mint along the sides of my journal pages in a somewhat random manner.
This is the cover I chose, but
you have a choice of 4 different styles here.
Here are a few stories I've documented so far and I'll share more of them with you next week.
Thinking about documenting who you are so that future generations know your story? Trust me, this will be a project that will get you to thinking, in a very good way.

I'm just gonna put this out there, the days are just whizzing by. Already. Before we know it, Valentine's Day will be here.

THIS WEEK IN MY GRATITUDE JOURNALS
Happy Planner Micro Notes
This little journal has been a great addition to my journaling lineup eve since I realized that the
printable 3x4 journaling cards from the shop are a perfect fit!
I printed the journal card on copy paper instead of cardstock and embellished inside the circle with a month printable and then added washi tape along the side before punching my holes.
Here's another post with more Happy Planner journal pages.
DIY Ring Gratitude Journal
Today’s gratitude journaling has me in my DIY Ring Journal - you can find all the supplies in my Etsy shop - made with a black binder ring, a 3x4 paper pack kit, some printable journal cards and die cuts.
A pep talk to me + a reminder to just breathe.
The possibilities are endless and you have the opportunity to make your journal in your own unique style.
Top Bound Journal
It dawned on me as I was changing the bed linens last week - yes Mr. wRight picked out this ensemble, guess that wasn’t hard to figure out - that I had not yet gratitude journaled on that day.
So in the lamplight glow of our cozy bedroom, here’s a pic of my journal page. I’m calling this one ‘Fun With Washi’ because I rummaged all through my stash to find days, months and numbers!
Travelers Notebook
From subbing at the Middle School to bowling practice in anticipation of today's Tournament play for Isabella to a parent meeting for Basketball yesterday evening had me gratitude journaling on-the-go.
I knew that would be the case when I left home, so I tucked this Field Notes journal into my purse before heading out the door. And if you're wondering, I was impressed with my yummy lunch packed with love by our two adorable daughters!
